The shopping experience at Gelson's has always been top notch. The deli meats and cheeses are fresh and of the highest quality. This location is especially clean and well stocked. Courteous and efficient staff are always available to assist us. There are very pricey items, but mostly quite affordable.

10 days expired Broguiere's strawberry milk at $7.99. This was bought on 2/22/26- how is it even on the shelf?

The only thing keeping this Gelsons above 1 stars is their bakery (and even then I am very disappointed that they switched from Victor Bene's). I am absolutely astounded that this Gelsons would have something on the shelf 10 days expired. $7.99 milk bought on 2/22/26- I didn't even think to check the expiration date, because honestly I would assume something costing that much at a high end grocery store would not be expired. Was about to have some the day after I bought it and saw the expiration date- unfortunately I have lost the receipt so cannot return it. The service has been going down hill for years- with the cashiers having side conversations, not giving focus to the customers...I've been checking out while the cashier and bagger discuss their negative opinion about another customer while I'm standing right there. And now 10 day expired milk- For the cost of the products this place really needs to do A LOT better.

Spacious. Even if it is busy, there is room to move around. You're not elbow to elbow with other shoppers. Well lit. They love their customers. They want the clienteles to see what they have in store for them. Products are not difficult to find as the aisles are labeled accordingly. They serve hot, fresh and mouthwatering foods, pre packed meals to go and a salad bar. They have a dining area and a cafe inside. Ample parking shared with other stores.

    Apple Pecan Chicken Salad. Yuck.

I ran in for an apple pecan chicken salad since they're usually really good but this time it was not. Mostly funky dark meat, too much mayo and ligaments included. I won't be going back to this Gelso

False advertisement on cat litter. They charged me $57 for a couple package and its listed as $5.99 ! How insane and I've been buying this one for a while so I just now noticed my receipt was so high.. they give me attitude on the phone when I called about a refund thats not showing up on my end they're saying I need to wait it out . Not very customer oriented. Wont be returning

My husband purchased several knishes from Mort's Deli. We understood these to be meat knishes based upon how they were described and priced. After bringing them home and cutting them open, we discovered that they were not true meat knishes, but rather potato-and-meat knishes. Had the product been accurately described, we would not have purchased it. We specifically sought meat knishes and paid the corresponding price (see the receipts attached). When I contacted the store to address the issue, employee Kate maintained that the potato-and-meat knish should nevertheless be considered a meat knish. Regardless of the terminology used internally by the store, the product was not what we reasonably understood we were purchasing. The situation became even more troubling when I repeatedly requested copies of the receipts. During the course of the dispute, I was informed that the receipts were not accessible. However, the receipts were ultimately produced and later emailed to me as ordered by the police. Notably, the receipts explicitly identified the product as a "Brisket Knish" and reflected the corresponding charge. The receipts therefore became an important part of understanding how the product had been represented and sold. Rather than resolving the matter promptly and professionally, manager Gail continued to escalate the situation unnecessarily. Ultimately, Gail instigated the calling of law enforcement to the store. Two police officers responded to the scene. Following their investigation, the store was ordered by the police to produce the receipts. The police officers became involved in what should have been a routine customer-service matter. With their assistance, the receipts were eventually produced after previously being misrepresented as inaccessible. What makes this experience particularly upsetting is that my husband is severely disabled, partially paralyzed, and walks with a cane. What should have been a simple request for fair treatment escalated into an unnecessary confrontation involving law enforcement. The needless inconvenience, travel, physical burden, and emotional distress inflicted upon both my husband and me were unfair and unjustifiable. As loyal customers, we found the entire experience shocking and disturbing. We sent the store owner an email detailing the incident but the owner never responded.

I ordered a the Dom and a supremo on their website at about 1:30pm on a Friday. It was ready at 2:30, which seemed like a crazy long wait for a sandwich, especially considering the place was empty when I got there. But alas. I wonder if it would have been quicker for me to just go in and order in person. Anyway, the wait (and 30 minutes of wandering around target to kill time) was worth it. The supremo - it's basically a slice of pepperoni cheese bread. Which is delicious. My late uncle's friend used to make us a pepperoni bread every year at Christmas and try as I might, I could never make it as good as hers. This one is closer than I've gotten! They forgot the side of Marinara for dipping, though, but it's fine because I have no chill and inhaled this thing on the drive home. While I was expecting something a little bigger based on the photo and the price, it was tasty and I would prooooobably get it again. The Dom - the real reason I'm here: a sandwich! I asked them to swap out the provolone for pepper jack, as I do not like provolone. The ratio of all the ingredients was spot on! The bread was soft with a little chew. Everything was fresh. Sandwich was a good size overall. 10/10, would eat again. Excited to go back to try a pizza or maybe a meatball sub or lasagna!

I ordered the Black Pastrami Reuben, and this was really yummy! The pastrami itself was juicy, tender, and loaded onto the sandwich along with sauerkraut. It was delicious on its own, but I asked for Thousand Island dressing on the side so I could dip the sandwich into it and that combination was heaven. The tangy, creamy dressing with the rich pastrami took it to another level! You can also get the classic hot pastrami if that's more your style. The Club Sandwich was also really good. This is more of a classic, straightforward deli sandwich and it's hard to go wrong with it when you're craving something familiar. But the biggest surprise for me was actually the cabbage coup. I wasn't expecting much, but wow. It's a sweet comforting soup made with meat and cabbages, and I found myself absolutely loving it. I have no idea how much sugar goes into that broth, but there's something about the sweet flavor that just works. You can order a small bowl, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you're curious. I also asked for bagel chips and pickles which were really fun to snack on. The salmon bagel and whitefish bagel were perfectly fine, but neither was particularly memorable compared with the pastrami or soup.
