I'm not one to leave reviews but I had to this time as this has been bothering me all day. If I could give them zero stars I would. I read a couple of reviews and like them I was also fired as a client. First let me start off by saying I first started doing my nails with the technician Quyen when she was working at a salon in Quincy. The new owner of Nail perfection also worked in Quincy (Jenny) and she took clients from the Quincy location and have them follow them to Braintree. Since I was happy with my technician Quyen at the time I happily started going to Braintree as well. Recently I called to make a nail appointment and she made every excuse she could tell me she wasn't available. I found it really strange that she had no appointments available for weeks. I've been seeing her for over a year. We talked and even sent friendly text to each other on the holidays. I was really baffled by it. I had my aunt call the salon and try to make an appointment with Quyen and she very easily was able to make an appointment. So now I'm wondering why she's avoiding an appointment with me. On the Fourth of July I sent her a text message wishing her a happy fourth as we normally do and I told her the truth that my aunt made an appointment for me and that I would see her on Wednesday at 5 PM. She was very cordial even sent me smiley faces. When I got to the salon early as I always showed up early, I sat there and she didn't say a word to me she continued with her current customer and was 20 minutes late taking me however I did not complain or say anything. Also I pay full price for manicures and pedicures but often skip the massage at the end because I know that adds extra time and sometimes I can tell she's exhausted or busy so for her to take other customers I skip massage which is part of the pedicure that I pay for. After I was done with my appointment, I paid and asked if I could book my next two appointments in advance to avoid that happening again. I could clearly see her book was empty on the days I wanted with no appointments and she kept making excuses as to why she wasn't available or that the salon was busy that day. I told her I could see her book that she had no appointments and didn't understand if I'm a paying customer why she wouldn't take me. She finally booked the appointments for me. At 12:33 AM (which is very unprofessional to text someone at that time) she sent me a long text message basically telling me that She felt Pressured during our last couple of visits and didn't want to keep me as a client anymore. I've been racking my brain all day to figure out what I did or said that caused her to fire me as a client. The only thing I can think of was my last appointment, my nails have been paper thin because she insists on using the electric buffer which ruined my nails (and I did not tell her that) but when she was doing my nails I asked her if she could hand buff it because my nails were super thin. Also she knows I like my nails short and I had to ask her twice to cut it down shorter. After reading similar reviews it sounds like the salon likes to do their customers nails the way they like it and if you speak up or ask for your nails to be done the way you like it they take offense to it. I've been nothing but polite kind and courteous to her. If I'm paying for a service, I feel I have the right to speak up in a nice polite manner and let her know what I want. Stay away from the salon. Plenty of really great salons in the Quincy Braintree area don't waste your time with them. They're super rude and unprofessional and obviously don't want to please the customer, just want to get someone in the seat as quickly in and out as possible to make money. read more

They either need to keep the door open or get better ventilation. I've been to plenty of nail salons. I've never experienced such a strong smell before. That would be the main reason I wouldn't return. The service was a mixed bag. The young lady that did my nails was more attentive than the older lady who did my friend's nails. She was looking down at her phone all the time. The mani & pedi quality was also not consistent. I thought the pedi was better. The mani felt more rushed. There was no foot/leg or hand massage but they do a quick leg scrub. $52 for regular mani/pedi (not including tip) read more

This is the most chic and clean nail salon that I have seen in the greater Boston area. Another plus is that the staff doesn't gossip in their native language about their customers, as is often the case at similar salons in my area. I don't speak Vietnamese, but I comprehend some of it. Anyhow, I stopped going to Perfection Nails after the tech doing my lashes and brows did a botched job that left me in pain and teary eyes from the product used to apply eye lashes. I still gave a generous tip and did not call the salon to complain. Instead, I stopped going there. The tech working on my lashes and brows at that time kept texting, looked upset, and couldn't focus. I had also noticed that they were over diluting their gel nail polishes. My gel nail polish would last one week instead of the two-week norm. Does anyone reading this review know of any nail salons where a client can bring their own nail utensils? I would even be willing to pay an extra fee if nail salons would use a clean or a new nail file to work on my nails. A few years ago, well before the COVID pandemic hit us, I ended up with a toe infection after getting a pedicure at a different nail place. (To be clear, it was NOT at Perfection Nails.) Anyhow, it was a painful and scary experience. The big toe that was infected has finally grown back, but it's still very dark. Lesson learned. I have since tried my best to give myself a pedi every couple of months, but honestly, it's not the same as getting a pedicure done by a nail tech. read more

I've been here many times and every time I've had a good experience. The ambiance is 10/10 -- very cute interior with chandeliers, really nice artwork, and very clean. Services are well done. I've done for a regular manicure, gel manicure, dip manicure ($42), and regular pedicure ($34). They strongly prefer cash for tip. The one caveat for this establishment is that they require masks, but they do provide them if you don't have them, which is great because I rarely have one on me now that they're only required on public transportation. They have shows like Family Feud playing on the TV -- it's a necessity for me to watch something while having a mani done. When I come in, there are usually 1-2 employees not working when they could be doing something, like helping with a mani/pedi, etc, which I find odd, but it doesn't matter too much to me except it would be nice to get mani/pedis done a little faster (love when I can get them done simultaneously to save time). A dip mani and regular pedi take about 1.5 hours here which seems standard. read more

The receptionist at my derm office had a great dip mani from this place, so I figured what the hell. I got a pedicure and dip manicure. Place is super cute inside, clean, lots of chairs, good location. Huge color selection, and range of colors for different polishes. But I was extremely disappointed in my pedicure and mani. For my pedi, seemed like she rushed through it, even though there was no one waiting; didn't file or shape my nails at al, I had to do this when I got home, looked like she only cut them the color also wasn't as deep as it should have been, assuming she only used 2 coats of gel polish. As for my dip mani, nails were long, and shaping was required. I asked for almond tip, and showed her, and they were left huge, clunky, and rounded until I realized she wasn't shaping them anymore and about to put polish on, when I asked her to fix them. Still didn't fix them as I wanted, but at that point I took the L and just wanted to leave. Three days after, 2 nails snapped. I def won't be back for any service. read more

I will never return to this place ever. With that be said, I called a day ahead to schedule a pedicure for three people on a Sunday at 3:00pm. My girls and I came on time. There were only two technicians in the salon. Fine, whatever. We will wait a little bit while having girl's time. This older looking woman name Hannah worked on me. Pedicure is okay but the way she shapes the toe nails are horrendous. I asked for square and she gave me some type of shape that I couldn't even name if my life depends on it. She also cut down way too short. I was so upset with the shape that I told her to give me the damn nail filer so I can shape it myself. Another technician, Linh came over and tried to fix the mess. I have a great experience at this salon when I get pedicures so I figured I would get a manicure. I will not be returning for manicures. I went in yesterday and got a gel manicure. The woman who did my nails was so rough with the tools the skin around my nail beds hurt. By the time I got home the gel had started to peel off my nails. I contacted the salon this morning to get my nails redone. The same woman was the one who redid my nails, this time I asked for a dip manicure and she seemed annoyed. I needed a last minute pedicure and just walked in. One staff member greeted me right away and asked what I needed. I waited a few minutes before they could set me up with a chair/foot bath. They were a little busy...all nail techs were busy with clients. I didn't mind I was already soaking my feet. The salon is very clean, which always makes me feel better about trying somewhere new. I did not want to have to write a review, but I suppose that is the only way to reach Linh at this point. I came in last evening and had a great dip manicure by Linh. I was so impressed by how clean the salon is and how cute the decor is. The same night, one of my nails broke. The next morning, 12 hours after getting them done, I went back when they opened. A woman named Sue claimed there was nothing wrong with my nail and that they were booked and nothing was wrong anyway. I explained that I got them done because I was leaving for a vacation today, and that I really did not want to go on it with a broken nail. Because Sue was being rude and not helpful, I asked for Linh, who Sue said was unavailable. It was very apparent that Sue was being lazy and just did not care at all. I then called and asked to speak to Linh, because I knew that being the owner and this being her livelihood, she cares. Sue answered and once again told me Linh was unavailable and fully booked for the day. I just wanted one nail fixed seeing that it broke 1 1/2 hours after getting them done. I will not be coming back to this salon unless things are made right, and I suggest having a serious conversation with Sue about the way she reflects your business. Went here this past Wednesday evening for a mani and pedi. It was my first AND last time here. When I got there, I let the owner/manager know that I had diabetes and that the technician had to be careful. I've been getting my nails done for years. I've never had a technician cut me. That's UNTIL Wednesday. I noticed my heel bleeding when my nails were drying. I let the woman at the desk know when I checked out. NO APOLOGY! I explained my health situation. It fell on deaf ears. The woman put some kind of ointment on it. I called today and spoke with the owner. She said she was not aware. The worse part is that the technician MUST have known she cut me. She actually took a chunk of skin out and there's a little hole that's not healing. I have to follow up with a doctor. The owner did not apologize, offer to even partly reimburse me, etc. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! read more

Came here for a dip manicure today. I'm not one to be super particular with my nails and never in my life have I ever critiqued or complained about a nail service. However I was shopping at the plaza and this place had decent reviews so I stopped in. I was cut three times by the woman doing my nails- to the point where I was bleeding. After the second time she drew blood I said could we please use a clean nail file as they do not use new products with each client. She told me "it was fine." And I was very uncomfortable. She eventually used a new nail file and I continued to bleed from her sawing at my cuticles. Then dipped my bleeding nail into the dip polish where everyone else's hand has been. Totally disgusting and I continued to get nervous about what other bloody finger had been in this same container. She then poured the dip on my nails istead of dipping them in a clean container.. I asked why she was pouring the product onto my finger because it was making the nails uneven and lumpy. She told me "it was fine." Before she got to my second hand I was completely upset about the cuts she made in my hand and said I would pay the total but would like to leave to go to another salone. I was assured "it's ok it's fine." And she continued onto my other hand pouring dip powder over my nails and making them uneven and lumpy. I again tried to leave and said again I would pay in full but I wanted to get my nails done elsewhere and did not want to finish the manicure. Again told "it's fine" and would not let go of my hand. Eventually the manager (linh) I assume came over and took over and I was in tears. Dip powder was on my cuticles, my fingers, cemented on. It looked like a child had done my nails with no exaggeration. I have never in my life had such a horrible manicure or been cut to bleed multiple times at an appointment. I would never go here again. I paid in full for this service with tip because I felt so uncomfortable. Do not go here. It is unclean, horrible manicure. I am worried I will need antibiotics for the 3 deep cuts that were made to my hands drawing blood- and then put into the dip powder everyone uses. I've never had a negative review of anywhere but this was so upsetting and warranted. I should have been more forceful and left the second time she drew blood. And after spending 2 hours there for a salon I shouldn't have paid for anything. So upsetting on all fronts and whoever did my nails I would've rather done it myself. read more
