I've been living here for about 3 years now and am so happy with the maintenance team, staff and overall experience. I recently had a leak in my ceiling and everyone was so quick to address the issue. Julian handled everything quickly, professionally and respectfully. They also updated me anytime they were working on the repairs. I love my apartment, maintenance is always super responsive and nice, the neighborhood is super cute and safe, everyone around is very friendly and a lot of people have dogs. The gym is nice too! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A Safety and Sanitary Nightmare. I have lived at Wharfside Pointe for three years, and renewing my lease is a mistake I regret every single day. While the building might look decent at a glance, it is overpriced garbage that has undergone a massive decline. 1. FILTHY LIVING CONDITIONS & PESTS: The building upkeep is nonexistent. The hallways constantly smell like a mix of sewage, trash, and dog urine, and the carpets are visibly filthy. Because they store the community trash in the basement/garage area, the building is infested with pests--I've dealt with two cockroach infestations here. I've lived in Seattle my whole life, even in old downtown buildings, and I never saw a single roach until I moved here. It has been incredibly deteriorating to my health. 2. SECURITY & THEFT (Car Stolen!): Security is a major concern. A car was recently stolen right out of the parking garage. On top of that, package theft is rampant because there is no secure mailroom; carriers just dump packages in the main entry hall. I have personally lost over $1,000 in stolen items. Management's "solution" is an Amazon-only locker, which is a useless band-aid. We need a general locker for all carriers, especially since the local USPS office is dangerously understaffed and unreliable. 3. FAILING INFRASTRUCTURE & UTILITIES: In the last year alone, we've had at least three water shut-offs, usually with zero notice. On top of that, the power goes out here more than anywhere else I've lived in the city. Since the entry doors rely on key fobs, you can actually be locked out of the building during an outage. The garage doors and elevators also break down constantly. If you rely on the elevator for accessibility or need your car to get to work, you're frequently stuck. SUMMARY: Do not be fooled by the "renovated" look. Between the roaches, the stolen cars, the unannounced water shut-offs, and the overwhelming smell of sewage, this place is a safety hazard. Management is well aware of these issues and chooses to do nothing. Save your money--look elsewhere. read more

Resident of over 2 years... TRUST ME AVOID!!! at first glance u think woah these apartments are cute and good location right?! Well think again in my two years living here I've had cockroaches, A CENTIPEDE, and they for sure have an ongoing mouse issue with traps all over the place. This Essex location does not have any property managers on site- so that means your building is not taken care of. The hallways are gross and when I say gross, I mean, I've literally seen people's dogs pee on the carpet in front of me. All the carpets in the halls are miss match colors. thered scratches and dingey walls. Oh and your packages they will be stolen. This location is too cheap to get parcel lockers & the buildings are so big the poor post men obviously don't have time to hunt peoples doors down. So package theft is rampant. Me and all my neighbors have had to deal with it. had countless vintage items that were one of one stolen. On top of this the gym is super outdated and super small. Resident for 1.5 years. Do not rent here. In the past 6 months water has been shut off four times, the most recent time unannounced and ongoing currently. Two power outages in the same period which wouldn't be such a pain if they let you have a key to your door. Instead this slum lord skirts the law by forcing you to use a SmartRent app which doesn't work during a power outage and key codes that only work if the batteries in the lock are replaced regularly. Maintenance is generally competent, save for putting old batteries into the smart lock sometimes so they have to be called back and instructed to use fresh batteries, but the two most competent maintenance employees may have been fired by the slum lord recently. You will not be able to reach any other staff as the slum lord doesn't keep anyone onsite as far as I can tell and they certainly don't answer their phone. Emailing them often gets a reply sent to one of your roommates so remember to check with them if expecting correspondence. Over the past 6 months or so the cleanliness of the apartment building has also drastically fallen including there being used cat litter scattered all over one of the stairwells for a week now. You'll be piling garbage up next to the insufficient dumpsters in the parking garage that three buildings share and after 1.5 years of this the slum lord still has done nothing that improves that situation. Oh, and the call boxes to admit guests and delivery people into the building are so regularly broken they've stopped notifying us when it happens. read more

I have come on two occasions to this location to look at apartments and the apartment manager was great and explained a lot about the different buildings and housing options. Unfortunately the fragrance used by the cleaners in the hallway was very strong. As someone who is very sensitive to chemical based fragrances I don't think I can live in this property. I think they are using the plugin air fresheners and it's just a deal breaker. read more

It's refreshing to see that other people have had terrible experiences with this place, and I don't even live here. My review is solely for the application process. I applied on Friday, where they happily took my application and holding fee. I did not hear back for 3 days, in which time I was able to find another (more affordable and generally nicer)apartment. I e-mailed them back(still having no response) letting them know I was cancelling my application, to which they let me know they would be keeping the $300 holding fee because I didn't let them know within 24 hours?! I literally never heard from them once, tried to cancel my application, and then got a response in 15 minutes saying we won't refund you. Pay extra to live in a building that has more standards than a county jail (that is actually better than this place though tbh). Or else have fun with no windows that open, a stuffy/dusty apartment, paper-thin walls (get used to hearing people screwing), bug infestations, no a/c and a detached/dismissive/rude leasing office (who are basically shady used car salesmen). I lived at Wharfside Pointe for 2 years. Over my time there, I felt that the management office was mostly interested in raising rent prices without taking into consideration resident needs or maintaining the property adequately. Some of the reasons were The unit that I lived in was advertised to me as "brand new", yet I lost count of how many times I had serious electrical/plumbing/heating problems. Although the maintenance staff tried to do their best to fix the problems with the resources they have, I feel that it was in management's best interest to address these issues before they considered raising my rent by 5% every year (as they do when you renew). My apartment did not provide the standard of living that I would expect for that price range. It was very dark in the wintertime, didn't have too much privacy and the patio had carpetting, which made that space not useful and very difficult to clean. Take a tour in some of the neighboring apartment complexes and you will see an immediate difference. The common areas are in general not well maintained and very dirty. They generally have strong dog smell, there were stains outside my front door and carpetting outside my unit was in bad shape. Spraying air sanitizer once per week does not count towards adequately maintaining a building. If you happen to go on a tour of this property, do yourself a favor and ask to see the garage. This area has a very strong smell of trash, gets flooded after rainfall and is very dirty. It is common to see broken bottles, plastic cups with drinks still in them and pieces of paper on the floor. This did not reflect well on the community when I had people over visiting me. I do have to say though that some of the staff at WP was genuinely caring and concerned about my well-being. They were just being subjected to the ludicrous policies that Essex has (the corporation that owns the building). For these reasons, I do not recommend that you sign a lease with them. read more

This place is sick and twisted. They (aka leasing agent Mariana Guadarrama Mejia) lied to me about installing air conditioning and somehow the city let them build units WITHOUT WINDOWS THAT OPEN. That's right, only one out of five windows slide open so during hot Seattle summers (yes, it happens) it's a complete health hazard. Not advised for elderly, small children or pets. Guess who does have A/C on the premises? The leasing office, who specializes in bullsh*t and lies. THEY ARE COMPLETE SLUMLORDS. Trying to get some sleep on your day off? Good luck. They allow some landscaping company to come in EVERY WEEK without warning to blast loud weed whackers and lawn mowers AT 8 IN THE MORNING outside your window. This place is owned by ESSEX Corp., who notoriously "operates" apartment buildings in big cities along the West Coast, and treats their residents like scum once they sign on the dotted line. Look somewhere else, you can do better. No human paying this much money should be treated this way. read more

Oh Wharfside Pointe, you hold a special place in my heart. For it is you that helped furnish a roof over my head during my first year of living in this great city of Seattle. I was new to the Northwest, without a friend or care in the world. My expectations where high and well... you fell a bit short. Let me count the ways: Pros: ~ It's a place to live. Location wasn't too shabby either. ~ There is a jar of Mike and Ike's as you enter the office. Cons: ~ I was moving up to Seattle from California, thus had been looking at apartments somewhat blind - relying solely on descriptions, videos, and pictures. Found a nice apartment here at Wharfisde Pointe complete with a waterfront view, fireplace, top floor, and great square footage with an interest. When I arrived, I was greeted with a completely different room sans fireplace, waterfront view, and a totally alternate floor plan than what had been agreed upon previously. ~ The previously agreed month-to-month renting plan magically changed into a yearly lease. ~ They began construction on the outside of the walls, not more than a month or two after I moved in. Scaffolding from top to bottom, plastic wrap blocking any sort of view and preventing fresh air from welcoming itself in. Did I get to sleep in on Saturday morning? Hell no. Those bastard construction workers started hammering at seven in the morning. Speaking of those bastards - a made friends with a group of girls in one of the other buildings, and they complained that the workers would stare into their windows when they were jumping around on the scaffolds like monkeys. When complaints were brought to the administration staff, they fell on deaf ears. No compensation for the discomfort. No final say as to when the construction would be finished. Not even an apology. ~ The drive way into the A/B building garage was mighty steep, causing my car to scrape every time I drove in and left. ~ They raised the price of rent multiple times. (Note: this would be for new renters, we had signed a lease. Although that didn't stop them from trying to charge my roommate and I more.) ~ Gym and spa? Ha! Gotta love the odd-numbered barbells, broken cycle machine, and the horribly stinky tanning bed that-I-wouldn't-have-touched-with-a-ten-foot-pole-even-if-some-hot-chick-had-been-in-there-naked. ~ Heater vents stank like dirty fromage. ~ Dishwasher = liked to fall apart and cause glass on the top shelf to break when it fell down. ~ When I was fed up with paying the extra $100 for parking in the garage (which had been raised from the initial price of $50) there was limited parking on the streets nearby. Often I found myself coming home late, parking about one/two blocks away, and walking home. And finally, ~ The Mike and Ike's were stale. (Please note that I have written this review in past tense, implying that I no longer live there. I was there for as short of time as I could and have no intentions of ever returning. There are some definite pros to this complex and then some definite cons. I'll start with the pros: There is an elderly asian maintence worker that is HANDS DOWN the best most awesome guy ever. He is super friendly and wonderful and I will miss him. Great location Washer and Dryer Underground Parking (It's not the most expensive, but it's not the cheapest. There is also a fair amount of street parking and my guests can usually find parking there) Gym Rental Office staff is usually friendly Pet friendly Vending machines take CC! Cons: NOT ENOUGH RECYCLE CONTAINERS! They do yearly inspections and instead of doing everything on one day, they do it multiple times. Rent is now priced entirely too high Pool is now gone (but, it looks like they are putting in a pretty nice little outdoor space which would be nice) Noisy neighbors inside and outside If you live facing 15th be prepared to roast alive in the summer or sunny days- none of the living room windows have the ability to open!!!! AUM ultilties are over $80 month! Gym has updated equiptment, but no windows open and no AC so in the summer be prepared to work out in sauna! When I moved in 2009 pretty much none of the apartments were updated except for the "penthouse". Well, now they are updating the apartments as people leave. My rent was raised considerably this year, so I made the choice to leave. I really loved Wharfside Pointe. I used to live in a 2 bedroom facing 15th and really hated how insanely warm it got. So when my lease was up after 2 years I moved to a 1 bedroom on the other side of the building and was so happy that multiple windows opened. However, I also inherited upstairs neighbors that loved to have their very own raves on the weekends! Boy was I in luck, not only did I get to hear their bass heavy music, their balcony was above mine, right off my bedroom which allowed me to be privy to their high thoughts on life. (gems include "Retirement is the number 1 killer of old people" and "No moment in life will be greater than my time at Burning Man" It was very difficult to live under them and I felt like the rental office was in no way helpful in assisting us with this. Almost every weekend we were calling the on call security folks to help me since the two times I went up to ask them to turn their music down nothing happened. The only resolution the office staff gave me was to tell me that they were now on a month to month lease and would not be here much longer. What is the point of putting noise restriction hours into a lease if you will not enforce them?? Other than the absurdly raised rent prices (which I would have paid for an updated apartment, but there is no way I would pay over $1300 for a 1 bedroom apartment with the bare basics) there are several key factors that left me to find residence elsewhere. It seems as though what was once an apartment complex inhabited by professionals has no become over run with young drunk folks. Multiple nights I was awoken from drunk people stumbling out of cabs on 14th that want to continue their party in the courtyard where their voices echoes. I have confronted them and asked them to please be quiet only to be told to turn my fan on to tune them out. Really? They are planning on adding additional units to their storefront areas, which I think will be a nightmare to the underground parking situation. I wish spots were assigned, as if you come home late at night you are left with spots you can't fit into because people parked off or they thought it would be super nice of them to park in the middle spot, making it near impossible to fit your car on either side of them. One of the biggest items recently is that since putting the recycle bins in the parking area, they clearly need a third recycle bin, yet after months of having the same problem, they have not gotten a new recycle bin. I have attached a photo of the trash area on a Sunday evening. You should note that recycle is picked up on Wednesday!!!! I have also seen their maintence staff taking this overloaded recyling and tossing bags into the trash! So much for being green :/ Also, it is fairly true that they enter your apartment a couple of times a year. Now, it isn't a ton, and they do give you notice. However, I've never lived anywhere that does this and I find the number of times a year they do this to be completely unnecesary and I feel that they do it that many times purely to check up on you. These visits could be lumped into one, but nope, they spread it out over the year. So, would I recommend Wharfside Pointe? If you have lots of money and want to live in an apartment complex, sure why not? But, honestly there are better places you could live than here. Horrible customer service. This is a beautiful apartment complex, managed by the worst females you will ever come in contact with. I signed a lease thinking I had just found amazing new place to live but I ended up dropping the lease because the property manager, Dalia is terrible to work with. She was rude and unfriendly through the entire process. It's very important to like the people you rent from. It can easily affect your credit history and your sanity. I was in a hurry to get moved into an apartment. I fell in love with the unit and Jordan got me into the apartment 3 days later!! He is just a joy to talk to and you can tell he really wants to help his current and future residents. This apartment is truly a hidden gem. It's very reasonably priced but I feel like I get more than what I pay for. I had a very minor issue upon moving in and the maintenance guy (I believe his name was Eduardo) fixed it within an hour. If the rent hadn't Increased so much this year, I would have stayed. But there are a few things that people should know about this place. Apartments are pretty nice. Apartments are pretty big. If you are thinking about renting an apartment in the C, D, or E buildings, try to get on the side that does not butt up against 15th ave or the Ballard bridge. The traffic noise can be loud, very loud. And in the summer the apartments can get really warm (my unit only had one window that would open, out of the 4 large view windows that my unit has) which made it difficult to cool down. There is only one Garbage bin (plus many recycling bins) for the entire complex, and it is located a bit of a ways away. There are no garbage cans anywhere else on the grounds. If you have a dog... well then you are walking a distance to throw away the baggie... When the sprinkler system starts to go off in the summer... the Garage starts to flood a little... nothing too much, but can be concerning when you drive under a waterfall of water... Kind of makes you wonder how the foundation of the building is. .. and how safe your car is in the garage... Parking spots in the garage are "interesting" there are many tiny spots, and a couple of spots that are regular size... there is a strategically sound way to park in all spots, and a lot of people choose to park in the same spot each day.. which actually makes things a bit easier. It seems that there are times that you get a notice on your door every other week about them needing to get into your apartment for some type of inspection... but they try to time it so that it is concentrated to a couple of months.. and then you are free again until the next year. I only bring this up, because if you have a dog, you have to either make sure they are not in the apartment on those days, which can be a pain since, the notice usually indicates a 3 day window. The Manager is nice, And does her job well I just wish they could find someone else to work in the office that sticks around longer than a month. The maintenance Team is great as well, you always see them working on something. All in all, I liked the place, but know that I will have some heaftly charges when I move out, because the paint that they use is water based, and picks up every finger print, and you are unable to wash them off, without removing the paint. read more

The Wharfside Apts are a housing nightmare. Do yourself a favor and skip these guys in your apartment search. The staff at this complex are absurdly incompetent and disrespectful. They severely lack problem solving capabilities and cannot seem to communicate anything to one another. They will also fail to send you package notices and they'll be out of the office about half the time packages are even delivered. Their maintenance men don't seem to actually have any maintenance skills. When your washer floods or your dryer takes 3 hours to dry a load, they will leave you nice notes saying "don't know how to fix it," or "dryer under observation." Or when your shower dial breaks, they will explain that you simply don't know how to use a shower dial. Also, mold grows all too easily in the windowsills, and it's almost impossible to get rid of it. The emergency vehicles that come roaring down the Ballard bridge will wake you up every single night: 11pm, 2am, 4am, you name it. Say goodbye to a full night of sleep. Also, the buildings and garages absolutely REEK of pot half the time. If you have a car, brace yourself for the ridiculous parking lot fees and the people who sideswipe your car and ding up your doors. If you park on the street, hope and pray that your car doesn't get broken into; that happens all too often on this street. Additionally, be weary of placing your bike on the bike rack in the garage. People swipe everything off the bikes down there. Also, the automatic pay system doesn't work unless every person in your apt. agrees to do auto pay (I'm talking to you, college students). So if only a few of you do auto pay, get ready for $200 fines and eviction notices when their system charges you incorrectly. There are so many better and cheaper places with competent and polite staff. If only I could give this place zero stars... read more

I just got onto a lease here at Wharfside and I've really enjoyed the wonderful customer service through the whole process. Jordan first showed me and my girlfriend the unit, he was fun and easy to talk to, honest and not pushy at all. it's always been very easy to get a hold of him and he never makes me feel rushed or unimportant. Upon entering the leasing office, you're met with a wonderfully decorated and furnished entryway with couches and chairs, a big TV, and a Keurig machine that stays well stocked with coffee, tea, and hot coca cups! They even stock dog treats, which is a thoughtful touch. There is a nice gym that faces the street and gets natural light all day. The units are really nice, they've recently been remodeled and they feel really up to date. There have been a few items that needed service by maintenance staff in my unit, and they have always been prompt and do a great job fixing what needs fixing. The area is really convenient, close to Ballard, close to Fremont, close to Queen Anne and downtown. Nickerson and the Ballard Bridge can get a little noisy, but you have to expect that in this area. The entire building is secured with doors that require a fob to enter, the security feels tight and the buildings feel safe. The spots in the underground parking are pretty tight and close together, so if you own a bigger vehicle you may want to see the parking for yourself before committing to paying for access to the garage. Overall I would absolutely recommend these apartments, the move-in process was swift and painless, the management staff is kind and pleasant, and the unit is exactly what I was looking for! read more

Lived at Wharfside for a year, and my favorite part of the experience was the great service from the Wharfside staff. They all offer assistance in such a genuine way, and having peace of mind in my living situation gave me a great foundation to handle life's daily obstacles. Free coffee was always another plus for me and I always enjoyed the community events Wharfside staff put on. Needed a studio, and they were all booked, so that was my only reason for leaving. If a studio was available, I would've definitely stayed. Nothing but great energy from the Wharfside family. read more

The bad reviews seem to be from when the old property manager worked here a couple of years ago, and to be honest, if she wasn't replaced, I would have left at the end of my first lease. Thankfully, Samantha came on board about 2 years ago and things changed for the better! I love my apartment, the buildings, the small dog park, the BBQ/lounge area, the grounds and the neighborhood. Along with Samantha, every staff member here is so friendly and helpful. Carlos and Philip are great and get to repairs in a timely manner. Living at Wharfside Pointe is honestly really great! I did so much research into other places that were in our price range and they all had such horrible ratings. The last place we lived had pretty good ratings but the walls were so thin, it was unbearable to stay. So after tons of research I narrowed it down to a couple of places, and WP won me over almost immediately. Our unit is updated and the vaulted ceilings make it look so much bigger than it is. The walls are thick enough that, though we hear serious stomping around sometimes, we don't hear much else, so it actually feels private. The fob access is convenient and makes it feel a more safe, since it is on a busy road. Our unit is one of the units that faces 15th that a lot of people previously complained about and I am happy to say that the AC units that they installed help A LOT. It's hot during the summer, to be sure, but definitely bearable. The staff and management are shining stars. Mariana is always kind and welcoming, and Jordan is always happy and willing to help with such a joyful spirit. Their maintenance staff is also really great. One time I requested a screen for our window via the online Rent Cafe, and one of the gentlemen brought it over within an hour. Another time my car battery died and Carlos jumped it with his own car and cables! It was really really nice! Additionally, I love the location. Ballard is just across the bridge and we walk over to there ALL the time. QFC is within walking distance so we hardly ever have to use our car. Kinnear Park off leash area is less than two miles away and super convenient for taking our dog to. There are multiple bus stops very close by, so getting to places is a snap. Also, the neighborhood of upper Queen Anne is simply gorgeous and always a pleasure to explore, plus its a work out going up all the hills! We are renewing for another year because it's affordable for us and I feel like we are definitely getting our moneys worth, or more! read more

Wharfside Pointe is a great place to live! We love it. Jordan and Mariana are awesome, and super helpful if you ever need anything. The maintenance crew is great as well, and very responsive. Our unit was remodeled before we moved in, so everything is clean and new. The location is great - right between Belltown and Ballard. There's a bus stop outside the building, which is super convenient. Rent and parking are way cheaper than our last place in Belltown. There's also a brewery right down the street! I would highly recommend this complex to dog owners as well, as it's very pet friendly. This has been a great area to raise our puppy in! read more

And broke our lease early, thank God. We had mold on our window sills, the water continue to break and the ants never fully went away. Now after moving out we are being charged 400 dollars beyond our deposit for shampooing the carpets, cleaning the blinds and painting the walls. We lived in the unit from September-April and never even hung paintings on the walls. The unit did not need to be repainted but golly gee they sure did find a way to charge us for it. The people running this place are slum lords, plain and simple. read more

I wanted to share what a great experience it was to live here. Originally, we moved from Arizona - never seeing the place first. But despite what you may read, Dahlia and her team are fantastic. She went above and beyond to find the best location of apartment for our needs. She took pictures of the actual unit and surroundings so I could see exactly what we were getting into. The only reason we are moving is because we need a bigger place to live and we cannot afford the bigger units here. I wish we could! It's in a perfect location close to downtown, walking to Ballard, Fremont, and Queen Anne. It also feels very safe here. The units are all very updated and beautiful. They take great care of the landscaping. They are always there for you if you need maintenance or otherwise. I'm sad to go! read more

I have lived here for about a year and a half and it has been an enjoyable experience. The prices are very reasonable for Seattle and the apartments are in a great location. You can be in Ballard, Fremont, Queen Anne, or downtown in 5-10 minutes. I-5 is also easy to get to if it's not rush hour. The ship canal trail is also just a couple blocks away. It is great for biking and running and connects to the burke gilman trail. The fitness center was recently redone and is very convenient. They have treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, a rowing machine, kettlebells, and a cable machine. The staff have definitely gotten better since I moved here. Maintenance is excellent and has always responded to my requests quickly. My heat stopped working last year and they were there within a couple hours. No request has ever taken more than a day or two to be fulfilled and I have probably made 8-10 while living here. Some of the features of the apartments are a little dated but they have redone the kitchens and everything is in great shape. Only big gripe I have is they need to put in double paned windows due to the proximity to 15th Avenue, which is a very busy street. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a reasonably priced option in Seattle with a good location and nice units. read more

Update: after I wrote my previous review, the water heater broke again. Because the water heater has broken on average once every 2 weeks since November, I have had issues making it into work and I have had health issues because of the cold showers. I have called the City of Seattle and files a complaint. It has gotten so bad, I have had to move out early so it would stop effecting my job and what's worse, they are still holding me accountable to my lease. I would implore anyone who is looking on Yelp to live somewhere else or at least not move into building D as the issues with the water heater is for the entire building, not just in my apartment. read more

I lived in Wharfside Pointe for one year. The maintenance staff were quick to respond to any complaints I had. The office staff were very friendly and often had cookies to share. In particular, Robyn helped me negotiate with Comcast to get 6 months free HBO after there was a problem with my initial setup! I liked the location. It's far from I-5, but since I lived and worked in Fremont/Ballard it was very convenient for me. The apartment was recently remodeled with stone countertops, very fancy. read more

Leaving a review because of the customer service I was just offered. The office seemed nice, Jordan the leasing agent was the only one in the office. (Busy with lots of residents) I thought i was in for a crappy tour but this guy is a serious salesman. Knew exactly what to say and I loved it. Lol kinda creepy. Overall the place is really clean and new and I'm considering it for sure. My buddy signed a lease with these guys a month ago. Jordan was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the property/what it had to offer. No big complaints whatsoever. Lol Have a few other places with sexier amenities that I'm checking out. Great location, close to everything. Never hear any of my neighbors above, below, or beside me. Jordan at the front desk is great to work with and always was available for any questions or concerns that I had. The older reviews are outdated and Wharfside Pointe is a great place to live. 5 stars from me. But I do have 2 quick tips for management, hallways could use a coat of paint, and a legitimate bicycle cage in the garage would be a fantastic addition. Don't let these two facts stray you away from looking here! I love it. read more

Horrible place to live! Week 1 had Maint issues continued for 3 months when the roof started leaking!!! Got so bad they let us out of our lease... Oh yah and the Mike and ikes are stale parking also sucks!!! read more

I run my own business and receiving mail (especially packages) becomes incredibly important. There is a team of staff that sits in the front office to sign for mail, yet somehow the entire team goes out to lunch when my packages are supposed to be delivered. The fact that I cannot trust my mail to be delivered in the same week I expect it, is crazy. I have missed countless amounts of important packages, and had to eventually have them dropped at the couriers' warehouses and drive 40 minutes out of my way to collect them. Yes, let that sink in. I CANNOT RECEIVE MAIL AT MY HOUSE AND HAVE TO DRIVE DOWNTOWN TO GET IT BECAUSE THE STAFF IS UNRELIABLE. Yeah, the rooms are nice, but they better be for the price they are charging! My room faces the street (2nd floor) and is really noise. You can hear cars all day long and especially at night. Also, now that it is winter, it is excessively cold and I am turning the heat really high just to make it bearable. You also better have a car while here because nothing is walking distance. Don't live here. Do yourself a favor and get a better place for your $1,000+/month. read more

I don't rent from here, and am thankful for that. When I was looking for apartments I contacted them regarding a one bedroom. Their pushy sales tactics are horrible and very irritating. I was forced to put down a deposit before even having my application run, and if you end up not renting from them, like I did, good luck getting your money back quickly. I was told on 1/6/14 that my refund was being processed for the deposit and it would be back to me in 3-5 business days (which is the first of two lies, 1) rentpayment.com - where they take your deposit - says it only takes 2-3 business days to refund, but it has to be initiated by the property owners, and 2) they didn't initiate said refund until 1/12/14). Lying to me about processing a refund of money that isn't there's by any right? F'ed up. Sounds like they try to pull fast ones on people all the time. read more

I normally don't leave detailed reviews on Yelp but I felt like my experience at Wharfside Pointe was well worth the time to write a little something about this place. As a transplant from California, this was a brand new experience for me in finding a place to stay that was so far from home. For the past few months, I've been in contact with Jordan and he has been absolutely wonderful to me and my family. His natural charisma and friendly personality helped me feel at ease in exploring what Wharfside Pointe has to offer. He was very pleasant to talk to and very engaging without being overly pushy in locking in on a lease, and he was extremely attentive in showing us all of the great features of the apartments that best suited my personal needs. He made a conscious effort in getting to know us beyond a business relationship and remembered all the little details in what I shared with him about my general background (believe me, not very many people do that nowadays) Not only was he very patient and helpful with all my inquiries, but he has been a very valuable resource with informing us on the general Queen Anne area as well as furniture rentals through another company that Wharfside is connected with. After a rigorous apartment search throughout Seattle and a whole lot of consideration, I ended up moving forward with another apartment complex, only because my selling point was being somewhere on the upper level units, and unfortunately Wharfside did not have any available during my projected move-in date. Otherwise, this would be a very lovely place to live if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle. The lobby is small, clean and quaint, and the gym area is pretty standard. The exterior is adorned with beautiful flowers that add lots of color and life to the area, and the interior units are comfortably spacious with newly renovated amenities. If Jordan was ever out of the office, Mariana was always available and happy to help me. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking to move to Queen Anne, and you'll be extremely satisfied with the consistency in excellent customer service. Ok, move out time means time for a review. I don't have much to say, overall a pleasant experience, so here are some bullet points that come to mind. Pros: Updated homes Updated Appliances Washer/Dryer in unit Garage Parking Located near Fred Meyer, Safeway, Walgreens, QFC, Whole Foods, PetSmart etc.. Maintenance staff is helpful, responsive and nice. Carlos is the man. Jeremy is a good man too. Cheaper rent than other places. New Gym/clubhouse. Cons: #1 con in my opinion - Garbage and recycle bin is a long walk from your apartment, unless you're one of the lucky ones in front of the elevator. Office staff has high turnover. Walls are on the thin side. But you can deal with it. Sometimes the old office staff would be on lunch and USPS, FedEx or UPS would not be able to deliver. I understand everyone has to take a lunch break, but part of their responsibility is to accept packages as promised. That hasn't been an issue as of late though. read more
