So I was confused about this place because I thought it was a food truck that was permanently parked somewhere. That is not the case! It's a replica of the front of a food truck inside a building. Pretty creative! What the Fry is mainly a carry out place. There are a few stools (maybe 4) with a high top table. During my visit, there was a woman and her two kids enjoying food in this area. Orders are placed at the window of the truck. They serve burgers, chicken sandwiches, pulled pork, fries, coleslaw, shakes and other items. But it's a burger that you want here! A Smash burger contains two tender yet crispy edged paddies topped with your toppings on a grilled Brioche bun. I ordered the special for the month which was a Smash Burger plus blackberry preserves and jalapeños. So unique and tasty. I enjoyed every bite of the burger, bun, and toppings. Definitely would love another Smash!!! The fries were good also but not as unique as the burger. If you visit or live in this area and are looking for fast yet delicious food to go, I highly recommend What the Fry! Heck, at least go for the name! read more

Mostly a carry out place. They have a counter with about the chairs. First time there, and the family and I were in love. The burgers were fantastic. They had great flavor and were sized pretty decent. The regular tater tots were fine; nothing spectacular. The kids got shakes which were amazing. Already went back a second time for shakes. The service was friendly and helpful. Everything was made in under 10 mins while I waited. The food is fresh made to order. They also have some really tasty signature burgers and sandwiches if you're looking for something different. I had the bacon jalapeño popper burger. Really tasty. This comes with a house made cream cheese and jalapeño spread. The spread was one of my favorite parts of the burger. The jalapeño is roasted and mixed well with the cream cheese. Not overly spicy. The burger was well seasoned and freshly cooked. The fries are hand cut and absolutely delicious. Overall it was a fair price. With 20% I paid 18 bucks for a huge burger, fries and medium drink. Stopped in on a whim. I have driven by hundreds of times and seen the little trailer in the parking lot. Welp, there is a brick and mortar that's tucked off in the back corner. Indoor seating is limited. Location is pretty easy to miss. Prices are reasonable. Portions are sufficient. Food was incredible. I ordered a smash burger on mac(?) little on the smaller side but there wasn't anything lacking in flavor. The poutine (tots) was every bit as satisfying as it should be. The French fries are hand cut fresh potatoes. They've got white and malt vinegar for our friendly neighbors to the north. We also ordered a chocolate malt to satisfy the sweet tooth. Definitely a good spot, non chain. I enjoyed the food. The employees were cordial and nice. Next time I'm going to customize my burger more. Add fresh jalapeños, and look into what may be available. Other than that I truly enjoyed my experience and food. I don't want to rate 4 stars for location and seating. But that's my biggest con. read more

Found this hidden gem when looking for a place to grab a sack of burgers before heading to the beach. Wow! Smash burgers, poutine, tots, and fries were the fare of choice and this place did not disappoint!
