The food here was not great. It was barely pho and I would not consider this a value meal. However, the convenience and speed for mall food, as well as the friendliness of the staff, warrants some extra stars. We did find some suspicious hairs in our tendon meat, and after telling the staff, they gave us extra beef and kept checking in on us. I thought it was interesting that they do an instant ramen bar; I probably would have liked that more than the pho that I got.

I got the roasted lemongrass tofu goi salad bowl and all the vegetables tasted incredibly fresh. The tofu wasn't what I was expecting, but still great. The only complaint I have is it smells a little odd in here, but I think it has to do with the cleaning products? Not the food

Tried WHAT THE PHỞ in Bellevue Square for the first time and it honestly surprised me in the best way. You basically build and cook your own noodles - add the seasoning, pile on veggies and protein, pour in piping hot water and let it boil in a little golden pot. A few minutes later you've got super cozy, flavorful noodles that feel like upgraded instant ramen. Service was friendly, food came out fast, and it's a perfect comfort-food stop in the mall when you're tired of the usual chains. I'd definitely come back and experiment with more toppings. If you're a noodle lover and you're at Bellevue Square, this spot is worth a try.

I was in Bellevue Square mall with a friend and we decided to have lunch at What The Pho. I got Chicken & Veg Pho, and my friend got the Tofu & Veg Pho. The pho was okay, a little bland which we doctored with some hot sauce. The service was great.

Tried this new Pho spot inside Bellevue Square mall. It's on the 1st floor, order at the counter, and there are several tables inside where you can eat. Menu was simple with a small selection of pho options and banh mi. I ordered a pho with sliced eye round steak and beef meatballs. It comes with bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers, and basil. Service was friendly and food was ready quickly. Great place to visit for a quick bowl of pho.

Dinner with the family. Service: 5 Stars Food: 4 Stars Atmosphere: 4 Stars. Overall a solid dinner. My elementary-aged daughter loved the kids menu. My husband and I enjoyed our meals. I had the pho and liked it a lot. My husband liked his Bahn Mi quite a bit as well - it had a nice, fresh taste. For semi-fast food pho I was impressed. They have a limited menu, but the most popular items are available. The staff is friendly and efficient. We will definitely add this this place as one of our regular stops.

The TLDR is that I'm disappointed. I never did get to try WTP when they set up shop in the Lincoln Square South Food Hall due the pandemic. I was glad that they had found a new home after their old mainstay was set for demolition. I have many fond memories of going to the pho shop with the obligatory quirky punny name and perusing their expansive menu of choices of appetizers, stir fries and many combos of pho. The Bellevue Square location, in the old Aussie Meat Pie shop (where I had never seen a soul venture into) is basically not the same affair. Gone are the appetizers, gone are the stir fries, and gone are the many combos of pho. Presumably their kitchen space is tiny, no more tripe, no more tendon - just beef steak and meatballs. You can still get a Vietnamese coffee and that's fine, but it's not anything that's going to compete with Pho Ever on the opposite corner of Downtown Bellevue. It's not anything that will summon up nostalgia of the old days of Pho Ever vs WTP debates. And the quality won't rival the fancy pho that you can get at Monsoon East just a block away. So why would you come here? Only if you have a true hankering for pho broth, rice noodles, and beef. If you want higher quality soup noodles and meat, would you let a simple escalator ride stop you from going one floor above to Kizuki? I don't know what the WTP play is, but unless they can really differentiate or go back to their roots, this simple shop is just phogettable.

    Pho and fried rice+noodles

Honestly, the pho was just ok, the vietnamese coffee was great, but the real show stopper is the shrimp fried rice + fried rice noodles + fried egg. Though the fried rice is on the menu, the addition of the noodles is an off menu request that came from a friend of mine who used to work there. She orders this and the chef in the back will legitimately recognize her just from this off menu request. We came in on a rainy weekday for lunch and the service was fantastic, food was surprisingly good portioned, and it's nice to see that this place is doing well. Good place to stop by for lunch and the parking is widely available as there is a large parking lot right out front.

It has that hole-in-the-wall feel off Aurora, but honestly, this is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have been looking for months, really years, for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Seattle area that actually feels worth coming back to. A lot of places have been average, or they have dishes like bún riêu or bún bò Huế on the menu but do not really do them well. Lotus Pond does. I tried the bún riêu and the bò né with steak and sizzling eggs, and both were delicious. My friend got the seafood pho and loved it too. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about the food, and I really appreciated seeing menu items that you usually have to search far and wide for, or go somewhere like Orange County or Houston to find done properly. The only downside is that it is definitely on the expensive side, but I will absolutely be coming back. The outside may not be flashy, but the food is seriously worth it.

Fast forward a year later to a Sunday at 12:30pm and I finally made the long drive here without going through Aurora Ave since my GPS randomly decided to give my road rage some grace. This place has plenty parking around the perimeter, so it was easy settling in. Only confusion was finding the entrance to this place, but when I did I was actually surprised where I was stepping into. Inside is laid back and cool with plenty of seating for groups of various sizes. There's tables and booths, and I got booth seating for myself when I walked in. There's a TV playing sports nearby where I was, and Vietnamese pop music was playing in the background too. Menu consists of regular foods in most Vietnamese restaurants, though their provincial noodle soups and banh mi sandwiches caught my eye. They even have bún măng vịt (duck and bamboo shoot noodle soup), my favorite that I gotta try next time I come here! From my IG feeds and as a starting point, I got their bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich), which comes with all the works of a regular banh mi sandwich, though I was kinda surprised how brightly orange the grilled pork was. Regardless, it was tasty and the meat was juicy. The pork pate added a nice savory touch to the sandwich, and no other condiment was in excess that it took away taste from the flavorful grilled pork. Staff was very kind throughout, and refilled my water every now and then. It was also nice chatting with one of them about our day and other recommendations from the menu. There's so much to have on their menu so I need to make the drive here again to have more of their stuff!

This was on a Friday at 6pm and we came to a very empty parking lot until you try parking closer to the many businesses located along the Bella Bottega Shopping Center where this gem is located. Inside is very casual with a ton of tables that can seat various group sizes, and my friend and I got a seat closest to the register. Menu has typical items for a Vietnamese restaurant like pho, banh mi sandwiches, bun, rice dishes and vegetarian options. There was actually a lot of stuff so I was slightly overwhelmed. I got their large phở tái bò viên, which is pho with medium rare beef and meatballs. Note that there is only a $1 difference before tax between the medium- and large-size pho, and I saw the medium bowls being much smaller than the large one I got, so it's worth getting the larger one! Broth is warm, aromatic and comforting with the right amount of everything, and the meats inside gave it more depth. The noodles kept together easily in my bowl and did not break apart easily when picking them up with my chopsticks. I also asked for extra beef, which is $4 more; this was put inside my pho instead of being served raw on a separate plate like i've seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend got their Yummy Noodles house special bun with chicken, and he loved it a lot! It was served in the same bowl size as the large pho I got, hence he couldn't finish what was in front of him entirely.
