This is my first visit here, my wife and I were visiting texas for a cowboys game and we saw the whataburger sign on the freeway driving to the hotel... now to be honest I NEVER knew this place existed I honestly thought it was fictionally made up in the tv series king of the hill :) however upon seeing the sign we knew instantly we needed to try it.... and thank goodness we did... honestly it melts in your mouth! I had a major issue with the girl at the window. She opened the window half way with my card and receipt in one hand and her phone in another. Waited for about 2 minutes for her to look up and give me my card and receipt back. she handed me my drink (which was incorrect) while still looking at her phone. Manuela is the Worse supervisor.Our 3 jalapeno cheddar bisquits had NO MEAT on them. My husband went there on 11/17/2016 for breakfast. Got home lifted up bisquit, no meat on all three. The next morning, after our dog enjoyed egg, my husband went back with receipt and spoke with Manuela who wouldnt replace food and told my husband that people try to be dishonest.All she had to do was replace food. I've been to Whataburger before, the first time was in 2004 during the holidays. My younger brother used to work here (I'm pretty sure this is the one he used to work at). The food is really good. I know it seems ridiculous to write a review of a fast food restaurant, but I'm Texan, so I'm literally obligated to do this. This is for Whataburger in general AND this particular location. Whataburger food: I can't describe why I love it so much. It's like asking a person who loves Dr. Pepper to tell you which of the twenty-something flavors is the reason they love it. It's partly because I know I don't have to ask for mustard - it's standard here. It's part because the patty's are thick for a fast food joint. Partly because they toast the underside of their bread so the burger is never soggy. Party because they melt their cheese perfectly. Partly because they are NEVER skimpy on the lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. Their onion rings are my favorite. There's another fest food joint that makes them super sweet. Whataburger's onion rings are light, crispy, and never too sweet or salty. Just right. Thinking about their fries makes my mouth water. Not crunchy, not floppy, but somewhere in between. Always the right saltiness. Their chicken fingers are great, too. They don't overdo it on the breading, but it's thick. I might not be a fan, except they give you good pieces of chicken that balance it out. Breakfast tacos are my favorite early morning breakfast. Their pancakes are fantastic - warm and crispy on the edges. And the pie - well, if you want an old-fashioned fried pie, this is the one. I love it when they have the special cherry pies. Apple and lemon are on the menu, but the season acherry is my favorite! Plus, you can order the burgers and chicken sandwiches without bread. They give it to you between some fresh lettuce - great if you are watching carbs. You can also order the bread without the oil/toasting. You can literally have it 'just like you like it.' This location: This particular location is close to work, so I've been frequenting it for 12 years. Let me start by saying I give this location 2 stars only because this is where I typically pick up food for my family and it's been good every time. However, today was the first really bad experience and it was completely unacceptable. I went thru the drive thru as usual at a non-peak time, and when I pulled up to the B-line space I gave the girl a $50 bill for $13 worth of food. She went inside, came back out and handed me my change: $6. I immediately & politely told her I had handed her a $50 bill to which she replied "You handed me a $50???". She said she'd be right back. She then came back out a minute later and said verbatim "You didn't give me a $50 bill. There's no $50 in the register." I told her I most certainly handed her a $50 bill & I want my change. She then tried to tell me I gave her a $20 bill not a $50 bill and I again told her to get me my change for the $50 that I gave her. Then, the manager happens to be bringing out my food and asked us what was happening. I told him what had happened and he said he'd go check and be right back. He came back a minute later and said he counted the till and it was indeed $30 over and gave me my change. He apologized but it just isn't enough. Long story short: don't give them cash money here if you expect to be treated as anything other than a liar. The attitude of this chick was insane and clearly she had no idea what she was talking about. Ridiculous that I was flat out told I didn't give her a $50 when I KNEW I had. Customer service is the worst in Arlington. I'll go to a different location from now on. read more

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Whataburger has raised there prices over 2 dollars here recently. I usually get the number 5. A bacon cheeseburger mustard all the way combo and for as long as I can remember ( plus I have bank record proof) the meal has always cost $7.66 including tax. Today I went through there and the same combo was $8.99 plus tax. Total $9.73. I was shocked. I will not be going to Whataburger any more. I think burger box has just as good of a burger and is less than $8 plus there fries are much better. read more

this is a review i am taking out of my day to write due to the lack of hygiene and customer service that i went through with the whataburger on 5321 w. sublet rd. in arlington texas 76001. this incident took place with the so called manager who was on the clock in between the time of 12:15/20 pm. she is rude digusting and lacks etiquette. i placed an order through the drive through a number one to be exact everything went well until i was almost done with my burger. niow mind yall i hadnt touched my drink or my fries except for a couple....the box was still full and my drink was too. vut there was no issue with the drink far as i could see. however my burger and fries both had hair in it. i ate most of my burger and got til the bottom portion and saw hair . so i spit out what i was previously chewing. i then place the trash back in the bag so i started eating my which were full i had only eaten like a couple before i ate my burger so i then noticed that there was also hair in the middle of my fries. at that point i googled the store number called and spoke to the manager who told me to come get another meal. i told her i didnt need a drink because nothing seemed wrong with it but even still i declined. so she offered me my money back and told me to come get my meal back . once i showed her my burger she blurted out that i ate most of it. i said ok and ? thats when i saw the hair and i stopped eating both the fries and burger. she then accused me of trying to scam them out of the $9 and change that i paid them! i told her to give me my money back and why woluld i try to scam when i couldve kept my money and all i ate was most of the burger but the box of fries and drink were both still full....but i was not full. i only ate most the burger. i said i can see if i had ate alllll the food and drink and left no evidence and then asked for my money back.....however im not one of them and this aint that.she was extremely rude so we began to go back and forth and instead of her giving me my money back as stated over the phone she decided to be the clown she trult isand blurt out that i was lying and trying to scam. i went off on here. she was not trying to defuse the situation she wanted say what she wanted to me and for ne to agree with her wrong accusations and stand there quietly and polite. i did not.i mos def spoke down to her the way she did me. i told her i was callin corporate and she blew that off as if she knows they wont do anything. i called and spoke to the complaint deparmtent and now im typing a review here and now im about to call the health department read more

Don't ever expect to get what you order at the drive thru to be correct after 10 pm. The cook at night loves to put surprise ingredients in food when he gets lazy. Don't order more than one of any food item and you might be safe. Have two people order the exact same meal and one order will have jalapeño peppers and anything else he decides to add to screw the order up. Our child ordered biscuits and gravy and found peppers onions and French fries in the gravy. If I knew who the cook was he would never be able to use his hands again. This is the fourth time this has happened at this restaurant. In the past we complained to the manager on duty and were treated rudely. I no longer bother to complain because they don't care. They get so much business from the interstate the locals don't matter. Next time I will go elsewhere. I did try to call the restaurant to speak to a manager tonight but they let the phone ring for 15 minutes before someone answered then hung up. read more

My husband and I recently ate lunch here on 07/04/2014 and had the best experience. Every staff member was super friendly and professional. They all greeted you upon entering the restaurant, made eye contact and smiled. Our food came out extremely hot and fresh and the order was accurate. It was delicious! Best burger we've had in awhile...and we eat out quite a bit. Both the restaurant and the restrooms were spotless and smelled great...we were looking for something to find fault with and just couldn't. The staff handled an obviously intoxicated and disgruntled guest like they were pros and even he ended up leaving a satisfied and happy customer as well. The experience was so pleasant we actually had to stop by on our way out and complement the manager and also post this review. Highly recommend this Whataburger location. We were very pleased to find out that the new Area Manager will also be taking over the location by our house in Valley Ranch. read more

I specifically made a yelp review for whataburger. I love whataburger and I usually have great customer service. First off, I am not one to complain or to talk bad but I have never ever had the worst customer service until last night while ordering through the drive thru at 10pm. The girl that was asking for my order didn't give me anytime to finish my order or to let me tell her what I wanted to drink and directly told me my total. And she mocked me by the way my tone was she mocked me right back. I told her "I want a drink too?" She said " speak up, what do you want" at that point by the tone of her voice really made me disappointed and angry. I have worked with fast food before so I understand how frustrating it can be to work in a fast pace environment and still provide great service. Last nights service has really made me double think about how poorly they have downgraded there customer service and not care about how they treat their customers... Remember we the customers are the ones that keep whataburger open. If you don't like your job or don't know how to handle customers than maybe you should rethink your job. read more
