Grilled Chicken Sandwich (with Top on)
Ron M.

WHATABURGER NOT My Wife and I were on a Road Trip and stopped in at Whataburger in Burnet, TX (#744) for a quick bite. It wasn't quick but understandable because this one cooks your food when ordered. Theresa was our order-taker-person and lets just say; "She ROCKS" - and provided the Best Customer Service. My Wife ordered their 3-Chicken Strips with Ranch Dipping Sauce & small drink. I ordered their "Grilled Chicken Sandwich", no combo, just the sandwich. Theresa informed us that it will be about 8-minutes and a little later checked on us to see if that's okay to wait, it is. Our order was ready and we ate in the Truck due to having our Doggie with us. Opened my Chicken Sandwich and the heat escaped the wrapping - this baby is Heat Hottt. Took a bite and this baby is Heat Hottt - and fresh from the Grill. This is how they should be served. As far as the taste, there really was none. The Chicken was Tender but Bland, even with the Seasoning on it, imbedded in the Chicken. Don't know how Whataburger does there thing, but this is not how it should be. Just like there Burgers, very Bland. My Wife LOVES Chicken Strips and said hers were just 'Okay', nothing special. So, okay, there you have it. Nothing Special about Whataburger at all except this Chicken Sandwich was served Heat Hottt and the Service was Awesome. Next time we go through Burnet, I'm going to stop in here and give Theresa a "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award and a Nice Tip because she is Awesome. Yelp reviews stated this Whataburger is CLOSED, well people, we were just there and it is Not Closed and Whataburger shows it still OPEN. They only have a 2Star Rating so that may be the problem.

Storms is better and locally owned

We are whataburger fans but Storms is locally owned and OPEN! Their burgers are delicious!

GROSS!

The food has gone downhill. Whataburger needs to concentrate on their food and not the marketing of the logo.

These people are the slowest non functioning people I ever saw! The drive thru and dine in experience is subpar to say the least.

We got in the drive through line with patience in mind. The staff was amazing, they were clearly scrambling and doing their very best to help everyone. Even under all the pressure, they were so kind and very thoughtful. Fast food cannot be easy, especially in a small town. I absolutely appreciate all their hard work. Even with all on them, there was laughter and jovial camaraderie as they worked together. We saw those dining in smiling and enjoying their experience as well. Our food was fresh, tasty and our drinks were crisp. And nope, we are not parents of any employees, just neighbors appreciating a tough situation and the grace observed.

"ROAD TRIP & CHICKEN" - Every Time - (5-Stars All The Way…read moreAround) My Wife and I were on a recent road-trip and I planned a stop at Chicken Express in Burnet for our Lunch. This was about the half way point and a good time to fuel up ----- with Chicken Tenders because We Love Chicken Express Chicken Tenders. We arrived right on time for our Lunch. We already know what we want so it was a very easy choice. Their #2, 7-Chicken Tenders (4-Regular and 3-Spicy) with a Biscuit and one side, chose Cole Slaw. This also comes with Gravy and my Wife requested some Ranch. Monica Rosales took our order with Two Drinks, Diet Coke & Diet Dr Pepper. We chatted with Monica for a short time and our Tenders were ready. We grabbed our table and enjoyed those Golden Crispy Tenderliciious Chicken Tenders - and they are just that. Chicken Express makes the Best Chicken and we Love the Golden Brown Crispiness. The Spicy ones are just that - it starts out just a little Spicy then it gets a little hotter and then even more hotter - but not burning infernal HOTTT - just a nice Flavorful Heat with each bite. The Regular Tenders are just simply Chickenlicious and nothing like that Crunch. Love that Cole Slaw, it's just the right amount of sweetness with the Perfect Slaw Crunch. Their Biscuits are always Fresh, Warm and tasty. Dipping them in Gravy is how I enjoy the Biscuits, same as the Chicken Tenders - and you get a lot of Gravy. After we ate we headed on out for the rest of our trip - and guess what. When we returned a few days later I scheduled out stop at this same Chicken Express - just in time for Lunch. Walked in and there was Monica and she remembered us - and also our order. The #2 7-Chicken Tenders (but not spicy this time) with a Biscuit, Gravy and once again, that Delicious Crunchy Cole Slaw - and two drinks. Monica even remembered what kind of drinks. We chatted for some time and she even came over to our table when she had a chance between customers. We Love Chicken Express and the Chicken Tenders were once again Perfectly Golden Brown Crunchy - and Chickenlicious. It was great chatting with Monica and she earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going above and beyond the norm. Whenever you schedule a Road Trip, always check for a Chicken Express - or just stop in at one near you - Ya Gonna Luv What You Get. They also have more than just Chicken, so give them a try. And if you are going through Burnet, Texas, stop in at Chicken Express on S Water Street and say "Hi" to Monica - she might even show you her Dollar-Bow-Tie. My Baby and I continued our Road Trip and arrived home enjoying another Beautiful Texas Day and Early Evening. Love You Baby, Bunches & ChickenExpressMunches.

Once again, it's a Dairy Queen. Don't be too hard on people who are working for very little in a hot kitchen, probably far too much with few benefits, at a place that is trying to give you obesity and heart disease and cut every cent possible to keep your food costs down.

Last night, we went through the drive-thru and decided to get dinner, too. There were three young boys working inside. One of them was very friendly and asked if the last name on my son's shirt was actually our last name. I told him that yes, it was. He replied that it was his last name as well. Then, the other boy--who I believe had a ponytail and appeared to be Hispanic--quietly joked, "I can see the resemblance," under his breath while looking at his friend. The polite boy ignored I'm and became even friendlier because he knew I heard it. As for the other kid.. he apparently didn't realize that I heard him mocking my appearance. I was humiliated. I won't be coming back, and I'm disgusted by the way they behaved. It took everything I had not to make fun of the way he looked or comment on his appearance in return. I just think it's incredibly unprofessional. When you're paying for a service, you shouldn't be treated that way. It completely ruins the experience. I'm always so nice and friendly. Will not be going back..

Stuffed Crust Pizza was really good and cooked throughout the crust. I don't like crispy pizza…read morebecause of teeth. But this was exceptional really good, I just about ate the whole thing. I use to work at Burnet Pizza Hut 92's so I kinda remember how pizzas cooked back then.

We ordered the Tavern Pizza with pesto drizzle, Pepperoni and bacon. We also ordered a Med Supreme Pan pizza. It was ready on time and it was hot. The Tavern pizza was not sliced as advertised, instead it was cut in really small annoying squares that could easily have been mistaken for a hors d'oeuvres in a 80's movie. The sizes were inconsistent ranging from 1/2 inch to 2 inches in diameter. We loved the pesto drizzle, it gave it a lot of flavor. The crust was nothing special, if anything it tasted like an overcooked thick tortilla. Bacon dry. Pepperoni was decent, but thin. There was a single slice of pepperoni for each slice, with the exception of a couple slices that had two per slice. As for the supreme, the pepperoni and pork was missing which we immediately noticed after we ate our first slice, as it was missing something. The dough was flat. It did have the greasy bottom(that I enjoy), but the outer crust was so flat, at first we thought they got the crust wrong. We spent about $25 for everything with a coupon, would have been more. Last time we ate at this location they got the toppings wrong, I am just done wasting energy on businesses that cannot get it together. I gave it two stars because it was hot, and the pizza was edible.
