Was in town for the day and decided to try P. Terry's for the first time since I've seen them all around the Austin and surrounding areas. I ended up getting a few menu items. I got a Cheeseburger without lettuce and tomato for my son, a double Cheeseburger without tomatoes for me and my boyfriend to share, a side of fries and a rootbeer milkshake. The Burgers themselves was really decent could've used a bit more salt but it was busy, that's understandable. It's better to be a bit under salted than overly salty. Overall, the Cheeseburger and Double Cheeseburger was really good. The fries was actually good. It was thin cut and perfectly seasoned. The Rootbeer milkshake was the highlight of this visit. It's just a blended root beer float that's just addicting. I couldn't stop drinking it. The service was incredible and fast. The ambiance is like an old school 50s diner setting. I will be back.

I've been seeing this retro eatery all through the state of Texas. If there's so many of them, it must be good, right? YES! P. Terry's was actually very impressive. It's a 50-60's style burger joint that is just cheap and delicious. The drive-thru line was outrageously long so we decided to use the walk-up window. Service was fast and efficient there. I ordered the veggie burger combo, which came with fries and a soft drink. The veggie burger had a lot of flavor - I loved the secret sauce on there, which tasted like mayo/relish/ketchup mixed together. Fries were great. Very thin cut with the skin still on them. I prefer fries without the skin but these were enjoyable. The only thing I wish this location had more of is outdoor seating. There are two picnic tables which probably seat 6 people, but it felt weird having to share a table with two other customers. Would definitely recommend P. Terry's if you need some food in a pinch! It's much better than McDonald's or Wendy's in my opinion.

I'd been skeptical to try P. Terry's for the first time. Heard good things (not glowing), but every time I looked at the menu I suspected I'd be disappointed by yet another boring fast food chain. Happy to say that we finally tried them today and were glad that we did. The conclusion I've come to is that P. Terry's is the In and Out of Texas. The menu is similarly limited, and the vibe is throwback retro. My husband and I both agreed the fries are so much better than In and Out, though the same crispy thin style. We were split on the burger...both ordered a double cheeseburger. I thought it was equal or just slightly less good. My husband said he preferred In and Out's burger, but not by a wide margin. We got in line right after 11am and there was one car ahead of us, so for similar quality and price, with no lunchtime rush? I'd chose P. Terry's.

For a burger joint, its not bad at all. Double cheeseburger is the best imo. Much better than Wendy's / In or Out or McDonalds.

I placed an online order, and when we got it home, my husband's burger was missing the tomato and lettuce that was on the order. The may seem like not a big deal, but since he doesn't like cheese, and he doesn't like sauce, except mustard, so the lettuce and tomato are basically what keeps this from being a plain burger on a bun. Since I don't live close, it's not like I can just run back up there. My husband said it was fine, but Mooyah is not a cheap burger. Ok, so whatever. But then I got an unsolicited texy survey from them asking for my feedback so I gave it. Shortly I received the attached text saying sorry and have a nice day. I really hadn't expected a response, but I would rather have had none than that weak reply. Like maybe offer a free fry in the app for my next visit, or $3 off the next order...that at least is a gesture that would bring me back to spend $30 again. Disappointing.

Lazy G BBQ Company in Cedar Park is exactly what it sounds like: lazy. For a BBQ joint in Texas,…read morewhere the standard is high, this place is embarrassingly bad. Rudy's BBQ should be the baseline, yet Lazy G doesn't even reach that. I ordered the ribs and brisket, hoping for something decent, but both were far below average. The brisket was especially disappointing--you could see the congealed fat right in the slices (see pictures). Serving meat at the right temperature is BBQ 101, and their failure here made the texture and flavor a cold, greasy mess. The sides weren't any better. The cucumber salad was bland, with just a dusting of dill and no seasoning whatsoever. Adding salt and vinegar should be a no-brainer, but apparently, even the basics were too much effort here. I was excited to try the smoked mushroom side (as a mushroom lover), but it was downright unpleasant. There was zero smokiness, and the sauce tasted like a watered-down BBQ sauce, giving the button mushrooms a soggy, unappetizing texture. The BBQ sauce was another letdown--it tasted like bottled Sweet Baby Ray's. For a BBQ place, using (or at least mimicking) store-bought sauce is the ultimate red flag that they just don't care. Even at $22 for a two-meat plate, the quality doesn't justify the price. In short, Lazy G BBQ Company doesn't just fall short--it doesn't even try. If their goal was to live up to their name, they succeeded; this food is lazy, uninspired, and, frankly, not worth your time or money.

My husband never eats mac and cheese and I'll be darned if he didn't finish my Trashy Mac and Cheese for me that evening! Finally! Some mac and cheese that is actually delicious and creamy. The toppings of brisket, bbq sauce, french onions and jalapenos all stirred together makes each bite a little slice of heaven. WOW! The next morning he said, "I kept telling myself I need to leave a little bit more for Lee Lee but I kept opening it back up and eating more until it was all gone!" Good thing I had my bites right when we arrived at our hotel because I was so hungry. My husband ordered sliced brisket and we lucked out and got a few of the brisket burnt ends. They weren't all "candified" like a lot of the other bbq places serve; but they were smoky and delicious. I also enjoyed the potato salad. We were excited to order the smoked mushrooms but honestly, they could have used a bit more flavor for me. You could just tap the salt shaker and it would have been fine. I appreciated the creative side dish and love how the bbq scene has doubled down on the side hustle! It was cold out so we sat on the enclosed patio that had heaters and were very comfortable. We order a couple of beers and waited for our food. The service was friendly. This was a nice dining experience.

As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back.
