It's too bad they closed the Carl's down near Slaughter Lane, that was closest to me, now I gotta drive way out to Cedar Park area or G-town. But sometimes it's worth it. But came here recently and had a really good experience. Met the manager here who was very nice and I think she was new transfer here from G-town I think. I used the app and got a deal with a chicken sandwich, it was pretty respectable. I saw they had fried zucchini - WTH? They told me it's really good so I tried it - and yes - very good! I do recommend. I like their burgers here, very respectable for a chain and a notch better than BK and Mickey D's. They are charbroiled too. Good flavor. But I have always had a good experience at this location, always friendly, and if I don't get enough onions - well they give me more no questions asked. Let's start with the flame broiled burger. So tasty! This burger is a step above other fast food burgers. No frying here!  I am a new fan! Also, pickles! No flimsy, thin, tired pickle slices. These pickles are a serious bite! While I am a giant fan of the burgers, I am not so thrilled with the fries. They always have many droopy fries. They are also the greasiest fries I've tasted. carls jr needs to update their app. Its rediculous that I can't show up 5 minutes earlier to pick up my order because they need receive the ticket. every other restaurant tracks your order and makes it when you arrive. either that or I just had bad customer service. The service was so fast and helpful, on top of the food being delicious I really enjoyed this location! I got the Guacamole Bacon Burger and fried zucchini. It took a little longer for the zucchini to cook, so they had me pull forward in the drive thru and brought my food to me! We went here tonight after my grandson's basketball game and 5 of us had cheese burgers fries drinks and ice cream shakes. We have never been to Carl Jrs and It was a great experience. The food was hot, fresh and served quickly and the burgers were large and had all the vegetables tomato onion lettuce and pickles. Great flavors, we will come back again for sure. Although Carls has gotten expensive, the food is still really good. The service at this one is really nice. I recommend this location. First time visiting a Carl's Jr. in probably 5 plus years and it did not disappoint. Burger was juicy, beef was flavorful and lots of it, the fries were hot and crispy and the Coke Zero was just right. I don't know the last time I visited a fast food burger joint and everything was just right, well, other than In N Out. But I liked the burger more than In N Out which sounds crazy but it was a SOLID Super Star with cheese which really is one of my all time favorite fast food burgers. Farmer Boys on 17th in Santa Ana makes just about the best fast food chain burger out there tho but that's like 1500 miles away. Maybe I'll go there tomorrow read more

For fast food it was good. I don't really eat fast food anymore and when I do, it would be something like wendy's or taco bell. I get nervous eating fast food but I was craving it and decided to order out. My shake was melted and my fries were cold by the time my food arrived but that could be blamed on my delivery driver. The chargrilled burger was good, but there was hardly any bbq sauce and I also requested mayo which felt absent. I also think my burger only had one onion ring instead of two like the picture. The fries were okay, I really like fries but they were all pretty much ends and on the skinnier side. The jalepeno poppers were good, like a typical frozen brand. The oreo shake was okay... If I were out and it was an option, I honestly wouldn't mind eating here again but it won't be frequent. I may try their breakfast eventually. Overall 7/10 experience for fast food. read more

Yelp gets it right again. Three stars. * * * If you go to the corner of 183-A and Whitestone, There are two fast food restaurants right next to each other. Chick-Fil-A and Carl's Junior. At lunchtime, there is a long long long long line of cars waiting to get into Chick-Fil-A. The waiting list completely ties up the driveways and intersections around Chick-Fil-A making everyone else do detours to avoid the traffic tie-up. There are only one or two cars trying to get into Carl's Jr. You can get in and out in no time flat and there are a zillion places to park. There is a reason that everybody wants to go to Chick-Fil-A and nobody wants to go to Carl's Junior. * * * The burgers are not the problem here. I had a jalapeno thickburger that was perfectly fine. The issue is the fryer. I ordered fried zucchini. By the luck of the draw, a few stray french fries fell into my zucchini order. The zucchini were tasteless and utterly uninteresteing. Dipping them in the dipping sauce they give you on the side didn't help. Flat disks. White paint. The stowaway french fries were not much better. Pale. Pallid. Not in the mood. * * * Say what you will Carl's Junior is not on the rock bottom of the fast food hierarchy. Many fast food chains are degenerating very badly, as their corporate owners use them as cash cows, investing the bare minimum possible. At a chain like Burger King's or Wendy's, Maintenance is pathetic. Equipment is falling apart around you. Cleanliness is dubious. They use the cheapest labor in the smallest possible quantities with minimum training to boot. So quality control breakdowns are the rule rather than the exception. Compared to those Exhibit A's of fast food decadence Carl's Jr is, relatively speaking, a hero. Carl's Jr is clean, and well maintained. The staff is professional. But that is like saying your chemistry professor is a great professor because he always remembers to put on pants before coming to class. You can do better than that. McDonald's used to be an example of fast food decadence. But they have cleaned up their act a lot. If I am stopping for fast food for whatever reason, I know I can always go to a McDonald's. What I get there will be pretty good. And if you believe the residents of Cedar Park, Chick-Fil-A may deserve some love as well. read more

This is a decent outlet of Carl's, and I have to commend the staff for being pleasant and also keeping the restaurant spic n' span when I've been here. I also like the char-broiled flavor of Carl's hamburgers, which make me ever so nostalgic for the Weber-grilled version from summer backyard party. This Carl's is slightly smaller and more cramped than most, and it's also hard to spot from the street. In case you come through the main shopping entrance from Whitestone Boulevard, just hang a left when you can and drive past the Chik-Fil-A. About the only 2 things preventing me from giving this Carl's a higher rating are 'speed' and 'heat'. Speed wise, I'm understanding. Carl's kitchens are normally slightly slower than most fast-food places. Back in the 90's their ad jingle was, "Oh, won't you stay just a little bit longer" by Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs! But yeah...you can actually find yourself looking around and thinking, "What, did they have to hunt down a longhorn and drag it back here to make my food?" As for 'heat', if I'm going to wait, I want a nice hot burger! The patties here don't really get beyond 'so-so'. Edible, but your best bet is to take these home and give 'em a nuke in the microwave. :-) This place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. I was fired up when I finally found a Carl's Jr. somewhere near Austin. I haven't had a "double western bacon cheeseburger" in over a year and I was happier then a kid in a candy store when I randomly saw this Carl's. Zucchini are great to get with your meal instead of fries, and I always ask for the ranch dressing with the white and pink label instead of the white and blue one. It's a much better ranch dressing in my opinion. If i'm not feeling some barbecue sauce i'll switch it up and get a "super star" meal and that's always a great backup. read more

Well kiss me with a bowling ball, I went up to Cedar Park for lunch today, it has been at least 5 years since I have been in that area. I got lost and never really found Cedar Park or the place I was looking for but I did run across Carl's Jr. in one of the new strip centers off the new toll 183a Road. Having never been to a Carl's I was excited to try it. I wanted to try it ever since I saw Paris in her commercial with the car wash and hamburger thing-ie. Paris where were you I expected you to be there in your bikini! The location is brand new, clean as a whistle with chairs and booths, the service was super, I ordered and got my number and they brought me my burger, Yes I was ready to chow down. I ordered the original $6 burger combo. The burger was warm and very fresh, the lettuce and tomatoes and the sauce was great. The burger had a lot ooze with it but it was not the burger that provided the ooze it was the sauce and other items. I expected the burger to be cooked medium well but it wasn't it was cooked extremely well done, so well done the outside rim was hard and black charred. The burger had a good flavor but was again over cooked. The bun completely broke down and much of the ooze ended up in my hands, I could not keep the condiments inside the bun (See picture). The fires were larger cut and had skins they were cooked in the way that causes me to hate fries. Most of you may like the fries here but I didn't. Would I go back? Yes I think I need to try a Carl's again sometime in the future but not sure when. read more

For fast food burgers..this place is IT! I'm yet to find one of those "damn good burger joints" (& pls share w me) so when I stumbled on this place one day, I figd I'd give em a shot. They weren't el cheapo, and I was bummed that they didn't have a bleu cheese burger, so I settled for the one w heart healthy bacon & guac.... OMG. I'm positive I ran off the road a little bit. So far I've been respecting suggestions for burgers, even when I've previously been to said burger establishment and have a pretty good idea as to the quality of the burger. Carl's Jr has seriously made me second guess that rule. I've actually been to Carl's Jr a few times in the past and had a pretty good idea of what I was going to get. What I was surprised by was how easily this burger surpassed Short Stop for the worst burger on my gauntlet. This burger was so bad it was near torturous to finish (yeah I know, first world problems). What made the situation worse was that the good folks at CJ slopped about 3 times too much in the way of mayo and ketchup on my burger making it not only gross, but messy as hell. With all that said, their fries were not good, but they by far were not the worst. They reminded me a lot of the fries from Burger King in texture and taste.
