Stopped by for some takeout after being in Murchison for some work at our property there. We were pleasant surprised immediately upon walking in at the number of employees visible, and at being warmly welcome as soon as we approached the counter to order. I had wanted a fish sandwich and forgotten that those were only available during Lent. Had a brief friendly conversation with a woman I assumed was the manager, who apologized and explained why fish wasn't on the menu. After we ordered and while waiting, I mentioned to her that my husband had expressed interested in their advertised banana pudding shake but that it was a strange concept and he was hesitant to order one. She brought him a sample! and I thought that was a really nice gesture. We got our order pretty quickly, got in the car and opened the bag to discover that one of the two sandwiches was omitted. Went right back in and they were SO apologetic for the error. Under most circumstances I'd pan them for omitting a major item, but the heartfelt apolgies (from two people) were sufficient. Both sandwiches were delicious. However - if we hadn't made the discovery until we were back on the highway, I would definitely have been pretty upset. read more

Stopped in canton, tx after 14 hours of driving. Checked in and walked about 500 to the whataburger. Bad choice. Minimum 6 employees there including a manager. All crowded and giggling behind the counter. I gave my order to a young lady and repeated twice I wanted mustard and ketchup only. My travelling companion ordered and asked for mustard only. They were not busy, 4 people eating and almost done. Took several minutes to get our food. It was wrong. I walked back to the counter handed mine to the manager and told her I wasn't kidding when I asked for mustard and ketchup only. All I could hear in the back "it wasn't on the ticket ", next there is someone at our table asking what our order was, then the manager comes over and asked the same question. After listening to them "chat". I raised my hand and said forget it just let me eat my fries and drink and go to sleep, my friend insisted on getting the correct order so they remade it and we waited. I said again I didn't want it but she left it. I never asked for a refund i just wanted to go to bed, pretty sure the manager was trying to avoid this and here she comes putting cash on the table to refund my meal. We had a great experience at this Whataburger today. While traveling through Canton, we stopped for a late dinner. My husband's number one with jalapeños and bacon was hot and delicious, and my Whataburger Junior with grilled onions was piled high with lettuce and tomato and pickles, just how I like it. The fries were hot and crispy, and the service was friendly. The tables were clean, and ketchup holders were filled. I really appreciate that. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would, because the drink mix seemed off, so the lemonade was weak. Not enough to remove an entire star from the review, though. We will be back. read more

I ordered breakfast bowl, it came in a bowl with melted cheese on the bottom of the bowl, sausage and biscuit on top with gravy and 2 pieces of delicious crispy hash brown fries. Refillable coffee tasted very fresh. Love the spicy ketchup! Great idea! Presentation was great! Nice packaging. Inside of the restaurant felt cozy and comfortable. Service was great! This location is always fresh, and each time we've came through we've always gotten the correct order. Any customizations we made were right, and we got all the sauce we asked for! My pet peeve at Whataburgers are when you pay almost 1$ for a sauce and they leave it out of the bag! I can't live without my Jalapeño Ranch! The reasoning for my 4 star rating is the wait! I don't think I've gone inside this location to my recollection, just drive-thru, but there is always an insanely long line, and it takes a while! They need to fire the bacon thief that works here. 98% of the time, when I order the Cobb Salad, it comes with ZERO bacon, when their own description lists 3 strips for it. I'm tired of getting ripped off by this one. The Mineola one is a little further away, but I always get my bacon from them. I haven't had a Whataburger since I was a child. When moving cross country this was a MUST do on my list. This particular location was located right off the freeway. The store was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. My father ordered a jalapeno burger and to my surprise, they were fresh jalapenos, not grilled. This simple factor added a nice crunch and heat to the fresh burger. I ordered the chop house burger which had a creamy sauce, grilled onions, and bacon. (I have a triple bypass scheduled for next week.) The burgers were great, the fries were fries. It was far beyond McDonald's and BK, but Whataburger is no In N Out. A solid 4 stars. read more

Pay over $10 for 9 piece whatachicken bites and fries. Half of the "chicken" was inedible and just crumbs. The other half was the worst and driest I've ever had. The chicken had to be sitting for well over an hour and it only takes 7 min to make fresh. The fries are never cooked thoroughly at this location so I always request them crispy (just to get them cooked fully) I wouldn't leave a negative review for a one time bad experience but this is every time, no matter how you order or how much time they have. We visit the Whataburger at I20/Tx 19 quite often. It has always been our go to burger place. It has always been friendly. We are really becoming frustrated with the quality of the food, especially the temperature of the burgers. Why can we not get a Hot hamburger? Plus, the patties are thinner than they used to be and the buns are too "bready". Also, today my wife presented a two for one coupon and this caused a major headache for the cashier, the two managers, us, and people lined up behind us. What a joke! Ashley stopped what she was doing and moved expeditiously to take our order. One of the team members walked around the dining area to check if anyone needed anything. She asked about my day as well. The manager took a break from her duties to hear our feedback and to personally greet us. She spoke to the rest of the guest entering and already seated in the establishment. Stopped in here on road trip to Alabama. This was my first time trying Whataburger. The store was nice and clean. We were greeted promptly and our order taken. The burgers were good! The food was freshly cooked and hot; the caramel milk shake was good and thick. And I liked the spicy ketchup option. We ate on site. The food was delivered to our table fairly quickly. In addition to another worker doing so, the manager, Mike, came to check on us as well. Everyone was friendly and polite. I had to complement Mike and his team on the cleanliness of the women's restroom. I was impressed because it's clear that folks on the road are stopping in as are the locals. Nevertheless, the restroom was clean and properly stocked. To be honest, that not something you generally see in a fast food place. Today I placed an order at the drive thru in Canton. My total was $5.07 and I gave her $10.12 expecting my $5 and nickel in change. She said thank you and closed the window. I said didn't I give you $10.12 and my order was $5.07? She looked puzzled and again shut the window. I know this was only a nickel but it happens ALL the time. When the change is under ten cents, they usually just keep it. Old people want their change. This adds up to around $80 a year. Whataburger, please train your drive thru employees.
