The fat bum of a manager , ( maybe he's just a fat bum regular employee), decided to be a real d*ckhead at about 11:30-12 at night. I DoorDash a lot, so I'm there a lot. For the most part they are always slow as all hell. And I never bitch because I know I'll be back . So I keep it together as always. Fat boy "manager" , I guess , that's what he is, tells me he is not giving the order to me until I confirm it, meanwhile has the bag of food squished against his sweaty fat stomach , does he know I need to take a picture of the receipt ? Normally I love Whataburger. I grew up on it back home in Texas. Today we just wanted a little something fast to snack on so we went through the drive through for some fries and onion rings. Service was a little slow, but nothing terrible. The lady at the window was kind and professional. My wife said her fries were good. But my onion rings were not good at all. WAY overcooked. Burnt even. Please Whataburger, don't do that again. A little quality control would've helped. I'll be back. Please do better. read more

I just found out whataburger does breakfast after 11pm. I feel like this heals a part of me since McDonald's 24/7 breakfast ended. I do not like their normal food and have found it overpriced and I wait an extremely long time even if I'm the only one in the drive through. But their breakfast people SLAPS and to be able to get it late at night sells me, as a night shift worker and the prices are reasonable, I'm willing to wait. What I don't appreciate is the employees pretending they're unaware they serve breakfast and trying to talk me out of it. It's always an immediate eye roll and then they inform me it's going to be 10+ minutes for biscuits then 10 more for hashbrowns.... I've never waited less than 30 for their other menu items so I don't go expecting fast service. It'd be more shocking to tell me what would not take over 10 minutes lol. The food here is always great! The people are nice and they are pretty quick even when I order meals for 5 people. The restaurant is ALWAYS clean whenever I visit. The day manager is on top of things with reminders to wash hands, put food down, and whatever necessary to keep people moving. The pace is good and I received my order exactly how I wanted it. I've been thru the drive-thru for dinner as well and they don't move any slower. Just to be clear, my expectations are the same for any other burger place out there and I can tell you with the balance of food, service, and time, they are right on the money. Meh. For all the hype around this place, it truly didn't live up to the hubbub. Malt was standard, fries were standard. Burger was bigger than I had imagined yet bland and dry. Atmosphere was clean and staff was friendly but wow do Texans have bad taste if this is what gets held up as the gold standard for fast food joints. Will not return. read more

This new Whataburger is maybe the worst fast food experience in town. The food isn't terrible but the service is the slowest I have ever seen. There is never anyone there and I know why, the service! Seriously, what are these people thinking? They have 4 people there with 0 business, but it takes 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter. When the kid comes to the counter he says, they don't give us any help, so I do the counter and prep. There are like 3 other employees just wandering around and no customers, what do you mean? Whataburger is already at a disadvantage because their food is subpar compared to In-n-Out burger, this is the kind of food you eat when you have no other option after a night out, but they're never going to make it with service like this. This Whataburger just opened up close to my house, decided to try it out. The drive in lane took forever and no one was around. Then ordered a meal and I am gluten free and asked for the burger on lettuce. Once I got it it was literally a burger slapped on with cheese. They forgot the tomatoes, onions, pickles everything! Tried calling to let them know and they honestly didn't care. Go to In-N-Out they do burgers with the lettuce all the time and have better service. So disappointed. read more

Food was great but going through the drive through, they didn't ask if I needed anything so I had insist on spicy ketchup and salt. They gave me one ketchup packet for a large fry and some salt. Didn't ask if that was enough and handed it to me and shut the window. They need to step up their customer service. read more

I actually like WHATABURGER. But, personally I just don't have good luck going there. Anyways, after I received my To Go order I went to my car only to find out that their supplier's 18 wheeler was parked across the east side of the parking lot blocking three of us customers cars at 1150 lunch time, are kidding me! The driver said, 5 minutes but it was 10 minutes later. There is an area where the suppliers can park on the side. But I guess the manager is clueless to what is going on the outside. The service was horrible. First they gave us the wrong food, and we could not even get anyone to talk to, they kept running away. We paid for shakes and then after waiting 30 minutes we were told the shake machine was down. I tried coming here twice and both times it was a horrible experience. The first time I donated a dollar thinking I would get a free taquito as the sign out front stated, but instead I got a coupon for a free taquito if I buy a taquito at full price. Very misleading. The second time I went I literally sat in my car at the window for 25 minutes waiting on my order. There was no one in front of me and no one behind me till after about 15 minutes. No excuse for this. I told the attendant at the window that I had a coupon for a free Whataburger if I purchased a medium fry and a medium drink at full retail. Of course when I got to the window she said she did not know how to do the coupon and just put it in as a combo which ended up costing me almost $12 which defeated the whole purpose of the coupon. Basically, the window person was untrained and incapable of accepting a simple coupon that I explained in detail before pulling up to the window. For those of you like myself that were born and raised in South Texas, know that this is not the Whataburger you remember. No longer is it family owned and no longer is it a Texas company.In 2019 the Hudson family sold their controlling stake of their 600 locations to an investment company in Chicago. As for the locations here in Colorado springs they're owned by a company called Burger works Colorado which is owned by yet another company based in denver. I will never ever ever go to another Whataburger. Even the burger was disappointing. Upon inspection I saw that it was just thrown together with everything stacked on top of itself and there was nearly a hint of discernible mustard which was one of the few positive attributes that Whataburger had going for it. I did not know mustard was so expensive that they can only afford to put about half of teaspoon in the middle of a bun. My coworkers have also voluntarily commented that they were disappointed with the Whataburgers here in the springs as well. My advice is to spend your money elsewhere as there is nothing exciting about this place except poor service, untrained staff, and overpriced standard fare. read more
