Burger was fantastic but the fries were just okay. We were there about 5 minutes after they opened so it's possible the oil in the fryer wasn't quite ready yet. However, the service and ambiance were great. Can't wait to go back and try a different burger!

Even with all the hype and acclaim, Skirted Heifer makes a damn good burger, and everyone should try it once. Snag some street parking in Downtown Colorado Springs across from Acacia Park and mozy on into the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite, Skirted Heifer. I remember watching their episode 10 years ago. I didn't even live in Colorado back then! Their claim to fame is the iconic cheese "skirt" on their burgers. The way they melt the cheese, you get this funky crispy cheesy entity around the burger resembling a skirt. On this visit, I kept it simple with the Pueblo Farmer and fries. Pueblo Farmer ($12.25) // Grass-fed beef, pueblo chilies, pepper jack cheese, & homemade guacamole on our sesame seed bun. Beefy, spicy, creamy, a perfectly balanced burger. I didn't get it skirted (I honestly was so tired from driving that I forgot), but I wouldn't change much about this burger. Damn tasty! Burgers don't come with fries so I added those on. These are thin and salty. Even though the fries are extra, they have a little sauce bar with their ketchup, ranch, and Heifer sauce to accompany it. The sauces were all great and tasted homemade! Honestly, just wish there was more seating as it's usually crowded. They do have a few outdoor stools, but it does get chilly when the sun is down. If it's good enough for Guy (Fieri...duh) it's good enough for me!

If you're looking for quick good fast food this is the place for you. Both indoor and outdoor seating but to be sure it is very small so seating is limited so try to avoid busy times if you plan on eating in. Menu is small mostly burgers, fries and drinks but the food is very good. Employees are friendly and don't make you wait long at all. If you're in a hurry and hungry go for it.

Custom burger and fries. Plus a great view of the mountains!

This place has very unique burgers with a "skirt" of cheese around them. There are a lot of options for customizing your burger and toppings. The place is fast casual style where you order at a counter. The food came out pretty quick. The burger was delicious but SUPER heavy. I couldn't eat much before I felt full and then I didn't need anything else for the rest of the day! Thankfully they have take-home boxes available. The fries were good but cost extra. They also provide a free drink upgrade to veterans.

After hearing family members rave about this restaurant, I finally got to try it! It definitely lived up to the hype. It's not a fancy place, but that doesn't matter because the burger is so. good. You can't go wrong with the classic skirted heifer. My first bite was of the crispy cheese around the edge, and I was sold. Sweet potato fries are also delicious! One order of fries is enough for two people. It's a smaller space inside, and a lot of people came in for takeout while I was there.

Yes, Skirted Heifer lived up to the hype. Burger was delicious and reasonably priced! Cute space inside, and servers were friendly.

What is a Skirted Heifer you ask? Why it is one of the best burgers I have ever ate in my life. Seriously! While touring around in Colorado Springs, we were getting a little hungry and my spouse recommended we check out this place. He had seen it on DD&D's so off went to find this location. There are two in town. This location is small but had a line out the door. Limited seating but we snagged a couple of bar stools on the outdoor patio. The place was packed which to me is always a good sign. Skirted Heifer serves a unique burger. The beef is Colorado grass fed and grass finished. Buns are homemade and the garlic bun is so soft and tasty. Condiments are made in house as well which adds to the flavor of the burger. The burgers are made to order and you can enjoy them exactly the way you want. We tried two of the burgers. Initially, we thought we could share a burger. HA! That was a joke. Once we both bit into our burger we knew we had to have a second one. The first burger was on the garlic bun with no skirt but with everything else and we both fell in love instantly with the juiciness of the burger. We went back and as we had to try the skirted burger. The skirted burger has an extra layer of melted cheese that surrounds the burger like a skirt. Again this was an outstanding smorgasbord of flavor. Service was fantastic, friendly and terrific! So glad we stopped here and I would definitely recommend trying either location.

A small burger joint that seemed to be a big hit for the college kids. I will not go back. I figured if a celebrity ate here it has to be pretty good. The Classic Skirted on a garlic bun with LTO and Heifer sauce. The Heifer sauce is not for me, it looks like 1000 Island, the flavor is a bit flat. The Garlic bun lost its garlic somewhere. The burgers may as well be smash burgers, they are way too thin (like McDonalds). The burger of the week - I tasted the honey once, I think they forgot the "hot". The goat cheese was the highlight, nice tang but the paper thin burger was lost. The fries are great and if you drink soda it is made with cane sugar. It was a little slow to get our food but the place was slammed with college aged folks.

Very very crowded and limited seating at this small restaurant in downtown Colorado Springs. The line moved quickly, but the food took quite a while to come out. Service was friendly and they recommended me to get my pueblo farmer burger skirted which is something I've never tried and was willing to give it a shot. I unfortunately was not a fan of the giant crispy cheese overflowing in my burger container. It really overpowered the taste of the burger and made it very greasy and messy to eat. I did appreciate them giving me a free drink after they asked if I was military. Always appreciate those kind gestures. If I do come back, I'll be sure to get my burger NOT skirted!

I really enjoyed Skirted Heifer! Getting it to go probably changed some of the texture or at least made the skirted cheese a little soggy. It did fall apart the second I picked it up. But a messy burger is a good burger! I thoroughly enjoyed their signature sauce (basically thousand island dressing) and thought the burger was juicy and delicious. Absolutely delicious! I also found the focaccia bun to be a fun take on a classic burger. And the pricing is actually pretty good in my opinion. My only qualm (besides the cheese which is no fault of them), I ordered fries but didn't get them :( I should've double checked. Although I noticed on my receipt that the cashier didn't even ring up my fries. So that's a bummer because I was excited to try the Belgian fries. I think maybe if he read back the order to confirm that would've been good. But again, it's not the end of the world and the burger was super filling! The vibes were nice although it's kinda small in there. But again, all in all, nice place! Just bummed about the fries.

Stopped in at Skirted Heifer for our first meal in the city - we were starving. Walked in to the quaint spot, and immediately got local vibes. I decided to go with a skirted build your own burger with lettuce, tomato, fresh jalapenos, and beer mustard. This was a great choice. The skirted option is great if you want something a little over the top. The burger was well seasoned and had some crispiness to it. Fries were a good compliment and the ketchup almost seemed like it was made in house. Everyone here seemed really nice and helpful. Seems like their teas and sodas were a hit, but would've preferred a beer. All in all I had a great experience and would definitely come back to try some of their signature burgers.

What a delight. The crew who took and fixed our order were friendly and awesome to talk to. The food was so good I kept saying mmm this is so good. I had the Pueblo farmer and sweet potato fries. Black cherry soda. It was fun and just an all around great experience.

After telling the waitress I had allergies, she did not mention they had a gluten free menu. I found a picture of that menu online. It tells you what is gluten free but it does not give you other allergen information. Due to this, I took a star away because even on their website they did not offer allergy or nutrition information. For example, their grilled chicken is marinated in buttermilk which is not dairy or gluten free. I found that out when asking if they grilled their meats in butter. In the end, I got gluten free chicken and it was very tough and chewy. I was not impressed. But my create your own salad was fresh and had wonderful toppings to choose from. I wouldn't mind coming here again but I would be afraid to try anything else due to the lack of allergy information. Our food came quickly and for those without allergies, like my husband, his bacon cheeseburger on steroids looked amazing. He also said it tasted amazing. I would implore this business to be more transparent with allergies so that someone like myself can go to a place like this and still find something to eat.

But let me be very clear: whether you worship at the altar of The Dude or have somehow never seen the movie, this place absolutely abides. First off, Sean behind the bar is terrific. Like, "this man deserves a raise, a trophy, and possibly his own spin-off" terrific. He was welcoming, funny, knew the menu, and mixed up one of the best drinks I have had in a long time. I have been to the Bacardi factory in Puerto Rico, and the mojito Sean made me was exponentially better. That is not hyperbole. That is absolute truth. Then came the food, and good lord. I started with the corn riblets and immediately regretted not ordering three or four rounds. Delicious. Dangerous. Life-changing little corn boomerangs of joy. Then I tried the fried pickles, which were also fantastic. Crispy, salty, perfect bar food. Then came the sliders: The Lebowski, The Maude, and The Walter. All three later came back to me in my dreams because they were that amazing. I do not know what kind of culinary rug they are tying the room together with back there, but it is working. Finally, I had The Bunny. Blackberry jam and brie? All day. Every day. That sandwich is not missing, it is exactly where it needs to be: in my face. You want a toe? I can get you a toe. But honestly, I'd rather get another Bunny. Lebowski's Taproom Westside is fun, delicious, creative, and has the kind of vibe that makes you want to cancel your responsibilities and order another round. Sean absolutely crushed it, the food was outstanding, and the whole place made me want to get my ass out of bed and go to work just so I can come back and give them all my money. The Dude abides.
