Well I've been to Whataburger numerous times and these last three times have been trying. I understand that it's made "fresh to order", BUT sitting in the drive-through over 15 mins for a shake???? Oh, and the kicker, two times the straw had a hole in it so it was pretty useless. I refuse to wait the time it takes for a burger to be made. This is a 'fast food' place- dammit, I want my food fast. Not a huge fan of McDonald's or Burger King, but at least they put out consistent and quick products. So, yes the malts there are good, and I'll probably continue to go there when I'm on a road trip, only because they are the only ones that make them. But the wait time IS very frustrating. read more

This location needs to up its game. I'm not one to pick on fast food places and rip them up. I understand that the people working in fast food are there because they need a job to pay their bills. With that said, this last trip to this location was disappointing. We ordered curbside for pickup through the app. We discovered all the following after we were back home. First, I paid for cheese on my burger, but got none. Second, the gravy that went with two of our three meals was white water. No taste. Not thick. It's like they poured water in the gravy because it was low, and thought no one would notice. It had the texture of plain water and no flavor at all. Do YOU like your chicken strips dipped in white water? Not likely. Finally, we had a gift of a free medium fry in the app, which we ordered. The wait times are always atrocious, I can't even name one visit where I didn't wait at least 20 minutes in the drive thru. I stopped tonight for a burger after a night out. It was 1 am, but they were busy, had plenty of customers. Came home and I go to take my burger out of the bag and the wrapper is drenched and dripping with grease. Screw it, I go to eat it. This Whataburger is so delicious that the drive-through line was long! Now, I don't mind a long line when it's speedy, but at the time of my visit, I waited over 20 minutes for fast food! There is a trend that I noticed with Whataburgers, and that is that they now have 2 lanes at the drive thru for faster service. An employee will charge you at your car (instead of at the drive through window) while you are waiting in the car line. In theory, the service should be faster, but all it does is create a mash up of cars. Some vehicles get there orders sooner than others and try to leave before the cars ahead of them, making a bigger mess. Two lanes just give the illusion that you'll be attended faster, but you won't. The person who serviced me didn't even look up, nor greet me. She just proceeded to tell me the price. I had to tell her, "good afternoon," myself before she mustard a smile. Whataburger we go way back. You're like that good old friend that you don't talk to all the time but when you do it feels like home. The grilled chicken sandwich (mustard, cheese, pickles only) has always been my go to. Mainly, I just want to order fries and use them as a spoon for spicy ketchup. Perhaps the slowest Whataburger I have ever been to. Unorganized, staff is not working as one. The person taking the orders walks off to help at the window, which is understandable, then steps away from there to check her cell phone. Comes to the counter to take my order and wants to rush me through it. Sad thing, I will be moving back to this area and this will be my closest Whataburger. This location got a great facelift! Parking is ideal,workers are happy and smiling and frequently checking to see if you need a refill, or extra condiments. They either got new employees or retrained the old ones on customer service skills because our visit was more than pleasant. The restaurant was very clean although I didn't make it to the bathrooms. Solid 2... second line never open..... even when it is you still wait average 20 min during lunch or peak hours... you can get to the whataburger on violet and get you're food and get back to calallen faster than getting food at 5 points. Horrible service! We approached the window to receive our drinks and a young girl giggled asking us if these were all our drinks. She then asked we we had, I began to tell her we had a power aid then she closed the window while I was talking. She left window & then came back to hand us our drinks. We pulled up as expected and waited for a good while. Then she came to our window and asked for our receipt & went back into the restaurant. After waiting again she back to tell us to move up to the curbside area. As we waited again my husband got down to see what the problem was with our order. My husband came back to the vehicle with our meals just to double check our order. We were missing cookies and all 7 of our meals were squished in one bag.
