Bluffalo Wings has been on and off my radar for years now…read more When I first moved back here, they were located in Flour Bluff (hence the name). They have since relocated to Corpus' Southside off of Yorktown, and have subsequently closed the former location. It's a great open-air sports bar, with good American bar food. They also have a plethora of draught beer, which is another reason why I believe they are so popular. The management and staff appear to be on top of things. Most of the service staff are young adults (I assume university students) who appear to have found a niche that suits them. One of the reasons I've been frequenting them so much recently is their burgers. You can customize them to your liking, and they are actually really good. Like many places I return to often, the servers have grown accustomed to my ordering habits, and it is now a flawless exercise. Easy peasy! This place may or may not be worth going out of your way to visit if you are a visitor here, but if you live near or around the Southside, it is definitely worth your time and money, IMO.

They've got a nice variety of wing options--good flavors, good heat levels, and everything came out fresh. The only thing that could use some attention is the music. It wasn't bad, just a little off in terms of vibe and volume. A small improvement there would go a long way. Other than that, solid service, good food, and a comfortable place to relax. I'd go back.

This is the type of place where you know you are getting what you are expecting. No frills. And I…read moremean NO FRILLS! We ordered the 5 piece tenders with the fries and the most buttery oily moist yeast roll ever with a side of coleslaw. And we ordered their iced tea. I have not seen a chicken express in over a decade and a half tbh and so my excitement was unnaturally in comparison to my baseline state LOL. If I had a heart rate monitor on I am sure you could see my heartbeat increasing in anticipation of the fried glory that was about to be bestowed upon us. The chicken was as greasy and delicious as I remembered it. The coleslaw tasted better because for the last several years I have been eating it at another tenders place that seem to be popping up everywhere and it was so much better in comparison. The gravy that came with it was enjoyed by my partner but I have never been a fan of their gravy so I am glad I asked for the ketchup. On their drive-thru window they write that if you are going to need anything besides the meal then you need to ask for those specific condiments. And I am glad I read that because the combo with the ketchup is what I remember my tastebuds enjoying back in undergrad. Now I feel like I can write a whole thesis on their iced tea. The iced tea is great on its own but I don't think the 21 year old me who used to have their sweet tea every Tuesday would be able to withstand the sugary tea in 2026. I got the half sweet half unsweetened tea and that was sweet itself. I really enjoyed reliving one of my favorite spots in undergrad. If I ate like how I ate back in the day I would probably not be alive right now but as a special treat this chicken is the perfect excuse to double up on your cholesterol medication. Overall, the service at the drive-thru, the price point, and the food itself deserve a respectable three stars. You know what you are getting and that's that. Can't wait for another road trip where I come across a Chicken Express!
