Burger was ice cold, fries unsalted, and they gave us the wrong milkshake flavor. Smell inside too.

When I got to the window to pay, they were confused about what I ordered. By that time it had been about 20-25 minutes so I just left. They weren't that busy. Service was horrible the last few times we have been in there. The car in front of us had ordered a ton of food. Instead of having them move up so we could get our chicken biscuit, sweet tea and hash browns. We had to wait 30 minutes. The people in front of us had 2 large bags of food. I went in side because our order was wrong. While I was in there other people's orders were wrong as well. The manager on duty was very rude. We will never step foot in the Cuero whatabuger again. Came through the drive through for a quick breakfast at around 10am so we could get on the road again. There was a small line, but the wait was maybe 5 minutes max before we got to the window. Then we got to spend 32 minutes casually sitting at the window watching all of the workers sit around (with another car pulled ahead of us waiting on their food, who they didn't even realize was still up there waiting because they tried to have us pull up to where they were parked) for chicken strips to be eventually fried for the honey butter chicken biscuit. When we finally got our food they hadn't put the breakfast potatoes with either of the entrees, and hadn't included basic syrup/butter or utensils for the pancakes. Luckily we only parked next door to check our food, so we had to go back to get all of that, which took another 15 minutes of waiting inside for them to finally give us what we ordered. I Just Have To say a Huge Thank You to the entire crew that was working Jan 9th 2024. I wasn't able to get anyone's name. But they were the Best. Was in Victoria visiting my family. Everyone got sick and my mom ended up in the hospital so wasn't having a great time. This crew had me and my niece laughing and smiling so much had my jaw hurting. I just wanted it known that they were all so nice polite kind and funny turned my trip around. Service was so slow took forever to get our food it was a little full but they took their time and still shorted me a whole meal

I realize it's a bummer yo work on a holiday, but there's still not time to be grumpy that customers have shown up - to thank you for yummy food. The one exception was the gentleman with braids - super fast and super effective. He was going from table to counter to parking lot to drive thru to table and around again. We have eaten here forever and a day but over the last few years this business is going down slowly but still has a lot of business why I don't know. I used to work here and we had to move fast. Now you're in line for almost an hour with a full staff inside. Food is ok but not like it used to be. I had to get out of drive thru to literally go inside after 40 minutes in line waiting with 3 cars in front of me. This particular day there was 4 drive offs. There was hardly no one inside to have waited so long. Inside picking up my food the little girl with blue hair has no customer service skills what so ever I'm waiting at the counter for 5 minutes and she just looked at me and turned her back to just be procrastinating on the fry station in which she never dropped my chicken bites and had to replace them with chicken strips they had to grab from the grill side. The girl said "No one told me I needed to drop bites" with a whole screen to see what she needs to drop the little girl with blue hair has the ugliest little attitude with very ugly remarks towards to customers in line waiting in drive thru. I was mentally prepared for a subpar experience after reading the reviews of this particular location. We were on our way home from the coast and the kids were hangry so we decided to just go for it. We were all pleasantly surprised! The wait was longish, but nothing unheard of for lunchtime. Five of us ordered something different with different toppings on the sandwiches. One of us even ordered "no bun" and other special requests to be gluten free. They got our order perfectly and the food was hot! We were all glad we rolled the dice and decided to go. Honestly, I hate to write a bad review. I am a constant Whataburger app user to order my food from this fast food restaurant chain. However, I can't believe I actually have to write a worse review than the one in Beeville. Great Customer Service! Bad fast food rate as there is absolutely nothing fast about this particular fast food chain. Today I ordered my food on the app just as soon as I got out of work at 6:15pm, I drove to the restaurant and parked at curbside and put my number in the app at 6:25pm. I am just now getting my food at 7:12pm, and that is because I had to walk inside to get my food. It was just sitting on the back counter by the French Fries. I told the young woman at the front cashier counter that I've been waiting a while for my food. She just turned around and added fries and my apple pie into the bag that already had my burger. I had to get my own ketchup and my own drink. It's fine and it's not at the same time. I live an hour away from my work place and this just set me back that much more. The drive thru workers don't care about their jobs so they are rude to paying customers. Sometimes things you order and pay for are not in the bag and they mix items up. Xmas eve, 3am 2016. Ordered a #10 and extra side order of onion rings. This was as they were cleaning one off the fryers. Food was hot since I was the only customer. Tasted ok. I love Whataburger, but not this location. They always get my orders wrong. I was asked multiple times if I wanted cheese on my burger and I said yes. The burgers still came with no cheese even though I was charged for it. Normally, I don't like to post reviews, but today they scanned my buy one get one free coupon and still charged me for two. The drive thru person's excuse was that they don't receive enough mobile coupons for them to know how to redeem coupons. We had to pull up to the window to place our order because employees were all yelling at eachother in the background. There was no one inside the restaurant so they were not busy at all. They were just not doing their job. The window person blamed everyone and they still didn't stop, when I asked where the manager was, I just got dirty looks. So typical for fast food employees but I hold Whataburger to a higher standard I guess. I guess I should have know better. I will not be stopping back here again. Sad, because we make this trip about once a month. It also took 10 plus minutes to get our food and I counted at least 8 people working whole we time we were at the window waiting. I used to really like Whataburger. It has been about 5 years since I had one. I am not sure if it is just this location or if Whataburger in general has gone downhill, but I did not like my hamburger at all. Just get worse and worse. Drive thru is an easy 20 minutes wether one car or four ahead of you. If your lucky you will get someone at the window that is at least robotic. If not I can tell you first hand you can place your order at the menu in back. After that there may not be a single exchange of words from then on through the entire transaction. My husband and I are Whataburger fans so we keep trying to give this one the benefit of the doubt... it's on a long drive we take often so we'll stop for a halfway snack. We never ask for anything outrageous and at this point, it's a game as to see how bad they mess it up! We ordered two sweet teas, one being half and half sweet tea, and an order of fries and we got one HUGE sweet tea and one medium half and half - fries were great though. Truly awe inspiring. If you've made it this far - here's a good one: ordered the special buffalo ranch burger when it was out but wanted it on Texas toast with an order of jalapeño ranch and got a honey bbq chicken strip sandwich on a regular bun with a side of creamy pepper?????? This Whataburger really knocks out the volume everyday at lunch. From what I can tell the staff cares and are older folks that have worked there awhile. The food comes out the same yummy quality every time. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but, I believe that it is because the restaurant needs an expansion. What's the deal with Cuero? It took us a half hour to go through the drive thru and get our order and the line was not long at all. The only plus was that our food was good and warm. The Sonic in this town is also extremely slow. We will be stopping in Victoria on our trips from now on. Too bad. read more

Went through the drive through and the lady taking our order was sooo sweet and patient. (We have lots of special requests). She made sure she heard what I was saying and read my order back to me!
