In lane "B" they come out to your vehicle at 9" feet height or below and take your payment. Which feels a little like a Chick-fil-A with just less employees . The food is always hot, fresh and so delicious . Whataburger is what Texas is all about This is a pretty good location is right off of I-30 and easy to get to. Visited the metroplex area for a few days and although I am from California and loyal to our local favorite Hamburger - you know the one, I have to have a Whataburger when visiting my Texas Fam. This location was a newer location, and relatively clean. By that I mean tables were a bit dirty and needed a wipe down, but it's a busy location and I am not that uptight. The staff was friendly but not attentive. This I can say is a noticeable difference with my local fav - they have energy! The double is the go to ! Fries are ok, I could pass them up and order two single burgers instead. read more

Time and time again I go there to pick up orders for Uber just to find that I have spent my gas and time driving over there and the order is not there anymore because the manager there can't seem to get it instilled into his employees heads that they need to be having the delivery person confirm the orders before they hand them the food because all they're doing is stealing the food from Whataburger. It's not that hard to require the delivery person to confirm the order that way the order is now in that person's hands instead, they just hand it over without any thought whatsoever, which is just utter stupidity. So I got to where I would not take a delivery from there knowing that somebody stupid is gonna be in there handing food out. It's almost like the employees are in on it because how can you just be that stupid every time we go there it's some ordeal. And then Uber is so ignorant that even though we've marked the order as picked up by somebody else, they just turn it over to another driver and then that driver shows up and goes through the same bullshit. By the time it's over four or five drivers have driven down there with no compensation mind you just to have some ignorant fool who probably gave the food to their roommate so they can all eat when they get home, tell them that someone's already picked up the order. My partner and I are from NY and came down to Texas for winter vacation. Southern Hospitality really showed itself on our visit to Whataburger. We weren't expecting much because it's a fast-food joint and people didn't hype it up as much as other places (ie. In-N-Out, Shake Shack, Chic-Fil-A). The serviceperson was extremely kind and patient and ecstatic when we told her our background (we asked for suggestions). We went with a classic burger and small fries, but were delighted to find an apple pie on the house since it was our first visit -- amazing! However, the apple pie did not bias my opinion -- the Whataburger was somewhere between a McDonalds burger and a Burger King whopper, but more actual burger patty flavour than either, and not the dull onion flavour that McDonalds has. It actually felt like we were having a real burger, and I find myself craving it again as I'm writing this! read more

Had to make a quick stop to take a friend some food on Thursday, this place was close. I love a good Whataburger, but I am plant-based right now so I opted for the Whataburger with no meat. The service was fast and the staff was friendly but when I got home, my fries were a little soggy and cold. I always turn on my seat heater in my car so my food will stay warm, but I think these french fries were beyond repair. Pulled in at 10:30 on a Saturday night - was in line for 45 minutes. Could I have left, sure. But I was hungry. It looked like the people in the kitchen were more interested in screwing around than expediting the food. One sandwich was wrong and was given with a hamburger patty instead of grilled chicken. The other sandwich, the chicken strips were so hard... certainly from some combination of over-frying and sitting in a warming tray too long. Long story short,... I drove 20 mins to order here. Trish took my order & was extremely rude, rolled her eyes, threw my food to me, etc. all b/c I ask for an extra sauce. I ask for a free one b/c I spent 20 mins waiting in line to order and receive my food. I asked for a corporate number after her rudeness & a manager came to aggressively tell me to get it off the front doors with a horrible attitude. I ask for a refund b/c I felt it unsafe to eat the food after being treated so horribly, but the manager refused me a refund b/c she said, "It's manager's discretion." Even though I paid cash & corporate told me it is policy to give back cash refunds. Then she proceeded to call the police on me, took my receipt & wouldn't give it back after asking her multiple times. She completely ignored me. I felt so embarrassed. A whole HOUR! for her to come out and ask me if I ordered something that I did not order, had to repeat my order, that took another 20 minutes. While driving through Texas we spotted an In-N-Out. Like what the hell is this doing out in Texas?? But then I remember Texas has In-N-Out now after they built a meat processing plant. However this reminded me of these tales I've read through the interweb about a burger joint that is exclusive only to Texas and the southern states. That secret is Whataburger. There are Whataburgers everywhere in Texas. Even at the airport. I went with the Monterey Melt, and instead of fries got onion rings. It's not that I didn't want fries, but my friends got them and so why not have it all? Fries were good, onion rings were decent (the ranch sauce was what made them really good so be sure to ask for some). As for the Monterey Melt, it was pretty darn good. It comes with 2 beef patties, grilled onions, Monterey Jack Cheese (duh), and bell peppers. On top of that I added some Jalapenos, cause jalapenos make everything better. Burger was awesome, and kinda felt like a Jack-In-The-Box burger but better. It would probably be the best thing on the menu at Jack's. So I'm glad I got to try a burger joint exclusive to Texas, and also that it was good. Kind of like having to try White Castle when you're on the east coast. Thieves!!!! Truly appalling service. I was the designated driver for my friends for the evening and stopped at this location to get my friends some food. Once I got home, I realized I had left my purse under our table. Immediately, I called the location, described my purse, and asked if the employee wouldn't mind looking for it. Without pause, she said she didn't see my bag. She hung up, and I realized she didn't take down my name or phone number. I called back immediately and insisted she take my information, at least, just in case. She refused. At that, I told I would come back up and look for the bag myself. She pushed that I not, because the bag 'wasn't there'. I told her I believed her, but I would still come up and look. An hour later, I made it back to the location and IMMEDIATELY found my purse EXACTLY where I said I had left it. I told the woman running the register that I was upset because I had been told my purse was gone, and I found it in seconds. She rolled her eyes at me and exasperatedly said 'ok.' Honestly, if I didn't know better, I would say the woman on the phone saw my purse and was planning on keeping it for herself. Never going back. This location is just plain unsafe. I really hate to leave a review bc of my name but I Fr lost my shit today, came to the drive through and normally you have complaints about night shift but not this time ordering at 5:40 pm and this lady with the worst attitude starts taking our order no biggie we trying to work with her despite her, having a language barrier. No shame in that props to her. But is the attitude that got me made us repeat our order 4 times and she still wasn't understanding or maybe not wanting to listen to us.
