After driving by this spot for a years and seeing mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try. The menu is a little hard to follow as a newbie but I did go through their drive-thru option so perhaps there is more signage inside. I ordered a classic cheeseburger, onion rings and fries. I was really pleased with the friendly staff and how quickly the food came. The onion rings were so good - some of the best in town. The fries were equally as good - I wish I could have tried them with ranch. Next time! The burger tasted good at first and then I realized quickly how spicy the regular cheeseburger. It kept getting spicier so I opened the burger up and it looks like there was some chili or something cooked to the bottom of it, almost like it was cooked right on top of a previous chili burger of some kind. Ok so to make one thing clear: I love an old fashioned, divey burger joint. It's gotta have character, it's gotta be good, and it better be terrible for my health. Country Burger hits that with a little something more. The burger is exactly what you want when you go to a place like that. The fries, onion rings, AND tots are all perfection. The prices are amazing, the portions are more than enough, and the staff is genuinely the sweetest people you've ever met. The inside is a wild one too, it's almost entirely a shrine to Selena and includes a small arcade. Country Burger on Hampton Rd The first time I came here I thought this place was a little overrated . They do have a couple good things really going for them. First thing they have a drive-thru and they seem to be pretty fast and efficient. The second thing is they've been around for a while and people seem to gravitate toward this place. In this time of over inflated prices, they do have a combo meal that is somewhat reasonable and compatible to Whataburger. Overall the burger tastes pretty good now they're fries and onion rings they need to do a little bit better and give you a little bit more for the price. Originally I would have gave this burger restaurant a three out of five stars but I think they deserve a four-star rating at this time. read more

The food is good but the location is really bad. It's kind of dangerous once you go over there. It's hard to get out of there. You have to go to another area to get out. I remember my grandma taking me to country burger growing up and I hadn't been since I left Dallas in 2009. It's decent. The Burgers remind me of Whataburger. The fries are ok. Service is always nice BUT they don't wear gloves when preparing your food. You can see the food prep line from the drive through window and this was the second time I've seen my burgers being prepared without gloves. That's a bit of a turn off for me. I rather got to Crown Deli down the street for a burger. read more

When I think of a country burger I immediately think of a thick, seasoned ground beef patty cooked well done with plenty of toppings and either a toasted or buttered hamburger bun and that's probably messy to handle and delicious to eat. That was not my experience here. It was just a thin, unseasoned patty that was pink in the center. The burger was super basic, the cashier working couldn't explain what made any of the burgers listed on the menu different other than saying cheese. Country Burgers taste like something from Dairy Queen or Sonic so I definitely would not ever make a special trip here. I do like the picnic table dining room set up though. read more

The location of the drive through is awkward and confusing. Aside from that, I went to order myself a burger and a plain patty for my dogs. Was told that they don't sell patties individually and that I would have to be charged for a whole burger. That seemed unreasonable so I ended up canceling my order. The burgers here are SO good. One of the best drive thru burgers you can get. The managers special is our go to order. It's such a great deal. We always just pick up food in the drive because I feel like it's too bright inside and not that exciting of an atmosphere. Great food and great service. Been going for years. But, yesterday, 10/11/23, there was a couple there and I am sure the lady was doing drugs in the restroom. She had a box of Narcan in her purse, not even hidden. I was there around 25 minutes and she was in there the whole time, because she went in after me, when I noticed the Narcan. This place used to be one of my favorites growing up into Oak Cliff. After a few years of not having it, I drove 30 min out of my way because I've been craving it for some time. To my dismay, I found the experience anything but pleasant like I imagined. The temperature felt hot inside. There was a party of 4 and another man in front of me and waiting for them to order it took me 15 minutes. I finally placed the order for my kids and I. Two kiddie burger meals, two ten piece nugget meals and a country cheeseburger meal. My receipt shows 5:48 as the time I paid. About 15 min later my order gets called. I took the order to the table to realize none of the nuggets were in the bag. I went back and made them aware of the situation. No apologies, they just started looking for the nuggets. There was one cup of what seems like 4 nuggets ready to go so one of the employees put some in the basket to cook. A few minutes later another employee that was attending the drive thru came up and started to take the nuggets. The first employee made him aware that those were my nuggets I was waiting on to which the drive thru employee responded "drive thru first"... and continued to walk away with my nuggets. The first employee makes the manager aware of the situation and the manager made the drive thru employee return the nuggets. That late to w small confrontation between the three of them while I stood there and watched. I finally interjected and told them I had been waiting on those nuggets for twenty minutes now. The manager briefly apologized to me and gave me the nuggets. To make matters worse, I Take them back to my girls, they took the first bite only to realize we were given CHEWY AND UNDERCOOKED nuggets. I went back to the counter and Asher for a refund and showed her the nuggets. She gave me back the money with another half assed insincere apology. I never got to eat my food, I was so disgusted with everything and so upset I lost my appetite. That is THE LAST time I step a foot in that place. It's a shame that what was once a gem in Oak Cliff went downhill so bad. If the drive thru employee had given those nuggets to the other customer, they probably would've driven home before they found themselves biting into an undercooked nugget. What I observed from the time at the counter watching all of this go down is that there were no timers or beeps indicating full cook time for a he fries/nuggets/onion rings... which makes me wonder how many other times employees at country burger have served undercooked food. That is a safety hazard and I felt hat anyone who takes their time to read this reconsiders being a customer of this establishment. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. read more
