    Jalapeño burger meal
    Kim l.

Was curious about this popular Texan burger place and it was dinner time. Ordered the jalapeño burger meal $16. Waited about 10mins. Jalapeño burger: 3/5 better than a Big Mac and whopper. Fries: 2/5 salty and could be cooked longer

First time ordering food from this food chain restaurant. After looking at the menu i decided to order a burger meal and extra (3) chicken strips. The waiting time wasn't bad but it was very chaotic and confusing. The food pick up was located on the other side of the restaurant where there was a staff member calling the receipt' numbers. Zero to none customer service was provided. My burger was not so great because the burger tasted greasy and the bread was soggy and it had too many little pieces of onions. As for the chicken strips they were tasty, savory and hot, a much better experience, the bbq honey sauce was a nice compliment for the strips. I have mix feelings about my dinning experience here but I was thankful because the choices for food at the time inside the airport were very limited. The seating area offers a charger station in each seat and I will suggest you to connect to the WiFi to get the best internet/signal connectivity.

We were excited to try Whataburger for the first time and welp it was a disappointment. The place was absolutely clean and maintained clean by the nice workers here during my visit. The burger was nothing special. The patty is thin and it was cooked well. The fries were gross, & had no flavor to them. I have never ate cardboard, but I would assume that these fries tasted just like it. The only thing I do have to give credit for is their prickle berry drink and their bbq sauce. Other than that whataburger is just hype.

Jr. two patties with cheese, upgraded to onion rings and had Arnold Palmer to drink. Love that the bun doesn't overpower the burger!

I had a several hour layover at Dallas Fort Worth airport and I was roaming back-and-forth between the gates wondering how to spend the time and all of a sudden an employee from Whataburger walked by with a large pallet of supplies so I followed them. It's been a long-standing debate, which is better Whataburger or In-N-Out and I was going to settle the debate today. Not gonna lie the location was definitely off on a side tangent from where my gate was but still the same area so I didn't have to go through security again or anything. When I got there, I like that the menu has Junior size and adult size food and I like that they do fries and onion rings, so I ordered the junior size double cheeseburger and paid a little more for the onion rings and got an Arnold Palmer to drink, but opted for the sweet tea since I was in Texas. The size of the burger is actually perfect. It filled me up without making me feel overstuffed. The ingredients of the burger blended really well and I also added ketchup. I guess they only put mustard inside the burger. Honestly, the best thing for me was the bun because it was so light. It doesn't distract from the burger that you were eating yet it is still strong and enough to hold everything together. The onion rings were decent. The batter was very light like a beer batter, but I don't think they're using that at a joint that doesn't sell beer. Do I think it is better than in and out? No, but if anybody wants to do a side-by-side comparison, call me. I would definitely eat there again.

My son and I were looking for something to eat and spotted this place at the airport. They had a kiosk to order from or the counter with a person. We chose the counter and ordered two burgers - one regular with everything and one bacon burger with everything. We paid and then waited about 10-15 min for our food number to be called. Seating was limited but we finally spotted two stools against the wall in the corner. Can I say we didn't like the burgers - we loved them!! The fries were just okay- kind of like McDonald's but not hot and tasted no salt. The iced tea was good. The staff at ordering was friendly but the person handing out the orders was not, however, we will be back sometime for another juicy delicious burger!!

When in Texas ya gotta get a whatabuger

Whataburger is Texas' IN-N-OUT so when in Texas it's our go to, we were pleasantly surprised they had one outside our gate while here for a 4 hour layover. All though we didn't expect much from an airport location it was just as good as the locations we've visited in Corpus Christi and Amarillo. The menu isn't as extensive as regular locations., but the staff was exceptionally friendly and cleaned each table as they were emptied. Nice lunch and the coke museum outside was a great time killer.

It's been over 20 years since I had a Whataburger and my flight has been delayed for ober 3 hours so I came across Whataburger again!! The service is warm and the people are incredible! It's so awesome to be home but it makes me miss Texas so much. This is a Texas staple. I love being delayed if I have to come here at DFW airport

I tried the biscuits and gravy combo and it was delicious. The hash browns were crisp to perfection. They were very busy but worked hard to get everything out. I was happy to have gotten to eat here.

Food - burgers. Kinda reminds me of school food that is a little better. But it's there and available if you desire a burger, fries and cola. Taste is ok only. Nothing to call home about. Service - ah, order at the counter and get your number called upon. Other than that, not sure what else. Ambiance - order counter, order delivery and a few tables to get you satisfied? Verdict - if you are in a bind for a burger, then I guess. If you are in a hurry and need a quick order, be cautious as sometimes they are fast but listen for your number intently or you could be waiting for more than 15-25 minutes. But there are also other choices at this airport.

Located by E27 at DFW - it's a trek to get to if you're not flying out of the satellite section of the terminal. No sitdown spots - I stood and ate which was very airport. It's a solid spot regardless but definitely the best airport spot for me with friendly staff. I love Whataburger and think the buttered bread is such a great touch for the burger. I also love their fancy ketchup. There's nothing fancy about Whataburger except maybe their pellet ice, but it's definitely my favorite fast food. It was shockingly fast and empty and clean here - never the case for whataburger at love field. I took the sky train and walked all the way from terminal A as I had a lot of time.

Very confusing line for both the self order kiosk and the cashier, the people here aren't kind or helpful.

This used to be the best burgers in Texas. I guess because this is the airport. It's okay just not what I remember.

The chicken pho, however does not require much. The stock, noodles and broth were already pre-made. I waited about 20 minutes and asked him what was going on. He said sorry let me get right on it. He then proceeds to scald himself on the hot broth. Clearly lacking prioritization and multi-tasking skills. I cant blame him entirely though. This is a management problem and shortly after 3 more employees showed up to help out. I definitely did not tip and the guy was adjusting the tip jar trying to guilt trip me into throwing a few dollars in for his mediocre service. Uncle roger would not approve of this place for pho. They used glass noodles and only provided lime slices as garnish. Nothing else: hoisin, sriacha, bean sprouts, a little jalapeño didn't kill anyone. For $17 after tax in dfw, it's a sad day here.

We always get the [Jumbo] Hot dog, which is not as big as you'd expect, but it's tasty. We enjoyed eating the Jumbo Chili Cheese Dog, Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, and the Char-Grilled Polish Sausage. These are all the hot dogs we typically order. We're not fans of the Italian Beef Sandwich nor the Big Beef Sandwich; they typically have a lot of gravy in them. The Char-Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich wasn't worth it. If you side the gravy and don't add peppers (an extra charge), you'd literally just get the bread and the sausage. The fries and onion rings are usually mediocre, but it's good served as a meal. On the other hand, the staff has always been kind, both in-house and drive-thru. The place has never been too crowded.

It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.
