I was excited to see this Whataburger at the airport since I've heard of it before, but it did not live up to the hype. I ordered a Whataburger meal which came with fries and a drink. If you've never had a Whataburger before, it's their version of a standard hamburger. The burger was about 50% larger than your typical burger, so you're getting a lot of food, but it was lackluster in flavor and similar to what you would get at a Sonics drive through. I will say that the cashier was very friendly and helpful and the fries were crispy. I saw some reviews about how Whataburger blows In N Out out of the water. I totally disagree...they don't even come close to the freshness and flavor of In N Out. If you are looking for a meal before your next flight, I would recommend trying something else at the airport. However, if you do decide on stopping here, make sure you have plenty of time before your boarding time. This Whataburger had a long line for both ordering and picking up. It took about 15-20 minutes to get my food and those minutes for getting to the gate and getting through boarding are precious. read more

I pass by this airport every-so-often and it's quite delightful that they have a Whataburger here. Since I live all the way in N. California, I don't get an opportunity like this very often. While I never really fully understood the popularity of this place, I find myself always coming back here. So far every time I've ended up at this location, there has been a pretty long line, but thankfully I had plenty of time to wait in it. When I was able to order, I noticed on the menu that there's a jalapeno cheese whataburger. Ohhh, as someone who absolutely loves jalapenos, it's an instant winner with me. So I ordered myself up a meal to-go so I could eat it on the plane. Also a plus, they have spicy ketchup! I rarely ever see that at any burger fast food-places. Unfortunately the service was absolutely terrible and the food was not very good... the guy working the cashier looked like he couldn't care less about his performance. You have to want it! Unless you're at one of the 10 gates in this corridor it's very out of the way, but it's Whataburger so it's worth it! I got my favorite which is the patty melt meal. Service was very fast considering the long line. Whataburger itself doesn't have any seating but there's plenty of seating at the adjacent gate. read more

Worst fast food experience ever. It's fast food, so my expectations are not very high. They just got everything wrong. They were out of many things, gave me the wrong order, blamed it on me, slammed the food in the garbage in front of me to show me their frustration, cold and soggy fried chicken sandwich, and completely flat soda. After a travel day from hell that included canceled flights, lost luggage, coming home 36 hours late,...I went the distance from terminal D to Terminal E to Whataburger. I was greeted by a sweet lady taking my order, and my food was fresh and fast and made all the stress disappear. But the BEST part was the manager, Ronnie! I went back to order a Whataburger to bring back with me to California for my dad. I asked Ronnie if I could get a plastic container for my sandwich because I was taking it on the plane with me. Ronnie personally took care of my order. Not only did he put the Whataburger in a plastic container, but he put all the toppings in a separate container so the burger wouldn't be soggy! I have to say... I am so happy that there is finally a Whataburger in the DFW airport. It was a big hike to get there but we had a long layover from our trip to the Cayman Islands. We made the home and were not disappointed. Whataburger is one of my favorite fast food restaurants and the quality is still there, even in the airport environment. Wow. I'm glad I stopped here. I live in southern Missouri and heard about whataburger. I have an 8 hour layover in Dallas. I searched for food. I read enough reviews to see it is worth taking a shot. Waiting for a plane, I tried to go to this whataburger. However... once I got to their location (which was convoluted and hard to get to) I found that Whataburger at DFW... was closed. At 4 PM. One star. I didn't even get to go there despite the many signs pointing me to the restaurant being open. I'm not one to complain often but this is horrible. I've been looking for a whataburger and the one I finally get to is closed without warning!!! What a shame, because I remember their food fondly. So I'm a employee at DFW Airport and I always walk way across the satellite to E27 Whataburger location for breakfast. I went in today on my 30min lunch and ordered a Taquito as I usually do. I get my food and walk BACK across the satellite to eat and I was VERY disappointed to see 1 there's NO cheese on my Taquito and 2 they took a freaking sausage PATTY and sliced it on the Taquito!!! This is ridiculous and now I had to walk back across to address the issue and the ok n duty manager handled the issue so damn crappy and unethically. I did refund my order BUT I left the drinks at E34 and he didn't even give me that on the strength of THEIR strew up!!! Nice to have an airport location but not quite the same experience. Working at an airport restaurant is hard. Hamburger bun was stale, fries weren't warm, and the place was super busy so this shouldn't have been due to food sitting under the warmer (or on the counter) for hours. I'll try again next time through DFW and see if it improves. read more

We had to board our plane after we ordered our food (completely our fault for running late) and couldn't wait. The manager on duty (03-11-21 @ 8:24 pm order #3323) offered us a refund but we didn't have time and told him not to worry about it, he actually delivered our food to our gate and it was brought to our seats! Now that is service!! Any time I am in the E terminal you can guarantee I will choose to eat at Whataburger and THIS location!
