We were seated in Ms. Maria's section, and she was a wonderful server. She greeted us with a warm smile, brought us menus along with the lunch menu, chips and salsa, and promptly served our water. She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and was friendly, attentive, and very courteous throughout our meal. The chips and salsa were very good. My only suggestion would be to offer a salsa without cilantro for those who prefer it. We ordered the Create Your Own Combo Plate, which included a chicken flauta, a crispy taco, rice, and refried beans topped with cheese for $15.50. The taco was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, while the chicken flauta was covered in a flavorful red chile sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The rice and refried beans were seasoned perfectly and complemented the meal well. We also ordered the chimichanga, smothered in cheese sauce and served with rice and refried beans, for $16.00. It was well seasoned, delicious, and satisfying. The flavors weren't overpowering--they were balanced and enjoyable, making it a dish I would gladly order again. This was my first visit to Mi Dia From Scratch, and I came away very impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant also offers a nice outdoor seating area.
