Talking about WB in a general, chain matter, the burgers vary and specialty burgers are always being added (and taken away :( so sad). They also have chicken strips, sandwiches, and some other stuff that I find myself brave enough to try after a bar crawl. I do like their fries on a fast food, chain level. And WB isn't everywhere (only in the southwest region or so I'm told) so it's worth a try during a visit. Now to this WB specifically. This one is pretty standard for the El Paso area. Generally clean. Fast service. Hot food. Everything you want in a WB. Ordered a 3 piece chicken tenders with cream gravy. The tenders were more like slightly larger chicken nuggets. The cream gravy (no lie) came in a small container about the size of half a cup but only 1/4 of the container (so 1/4 of half a cup) of gravy. Ordered through the app a couple of weeks ago and they completely forgot an order of onion rings. I called immediately and told them and the girl, named Deedee, said she was sorry and that I could go back anytime (no time restriction) and get my onion rings order that was owed to me. So I go back today because this is the first opportunity I have to go, and the manager I spoke with, Cynthia, said that it was so long ago that they could not do that, and that any complaints need to go through the app- which I have always called and they have always replace my order this way. This is the absolute WORST Whataburger location. It took us almost 30 minutes to get TWO items and it doesn't stop there. The girl taking my order wanted to argue with me that breakfast was over and when I said it's not 11am yet, she goes completely silent. We get to the window finally and the girl asks what our drinks were, I told her we didn't get drinks. She then pauses and asks what we ordered. After another while, she hands us a bag and I look in it and it has taquitos or something. Completely WRONG order. I hand it back to her and told her that wasn't our order. She just goes, "Oh." I would understand if she told me they didn't have regular biscuits, but not a freaking peep. I hate jalapeños and what if I happened to be allergic?? The whataburger on Zaragoza has always been my least favorite location of this heavenly franchise. However since there recent renovations I have been pleasantly surprised on numerous occasions. The honey butter chicken sandwich was on par and the same goes for the burger and fries. Worst whataburger location! Twice in a row I've gone and I gotten my drinks wrong ! Last visit I asked for 2 drinks , a Powerade and a sweet tea, when i received the drinks there were 3 in the cup holder. I told the young guy that I only asked for 2 drinks that this is not mine, he told me that the extra drink was just another sweet tea for me to just take them. When I drank my "Powerade" it didn't taste like Powerade although it was red in color, it was not Powerade, the other 2 drinks one was coke and the other raspberry tea, none which I asked for ! Today I asked for 2 powerades and received 2 sweet teas, how can someone get a tea confused with a Powerade?!? But that's not all, I also asked for onion rings and was charged for onion rings and I didn't get them! Although I am a bay area native and in and out is in my blood, This place was not bad. Pretty filling and tasty. Nothing comparable to 5 guys, In and out, shake shack and all those other chain burger joints such as white castle. Solid burget and fries. You can pretty much customize your burger to whatever you like. From just the patty and bun, all the way to all the sides on the burger. So I waited in a long ass line for a cold ass burger. Literally you can tell someone got a cold patty that had probably been sitting there for a while an threw a piece of cheese on it. You know how I know because the cheese wasn't even remotely melted. Last night I went to this whataburger, I had ordered through the drive-thru and I got what was supposed to be my biscuit sandwich and it was something completely different from what I ordered. I went inside the restaurant and I believe it was the manager, Oscar, that assisted me. I told him what happened and he just went absolutely above and beyond for my trouble. Not only did he make sure my order came out right but he upgraded me to a combo. He was extremely kind, and understanding and made sure I was taken care of and I wanted to say that he did absolutely more than provide excellent customer service and hopefully I can bring recognition to that.
