After a fiasco of an experience at the nearby Braum's, I pulled in to this Whataburger. Haven't eaten at one in quite a while. Since breakfast was still being offered, I ordered two honey-butter chicken biscuits. My favorite breakfast menu item at Whataburger. Since everything is cooked fresh-to-order, the wait time was a little longer but well worth it. The food was delicious and, the restuarant was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. This location seems to not get a lot of positive feedback, but we had a great experience. The young lady working the counter was polite and we could tell she was new. I was one of the first people in line for the drive thru. I paid I was told to pull up to the white line nothing odd, but then waiting long enough for 3 cars to get there food and drinks. And my order was missing a large onion ring. I went inside and a dude helped me get some and had to cook them fresh but hands BURNT onion rings also while I was sitting there multiple people were missing items I work as a bartender and you can get busy and rush but messing up that badly is insade 5 dollars for that crap, would have rather given it to my dog to chew up. We were staying at one of the nearby hotels so we came here 3 times during our visit. First time 4/5 We got two meals plus two separate shakes. The burgers were just ok and were not very hot. But the fries, drinks and shakes were good. The service was quick and friendly. Second time 5/5 We loved the shakes the previous night so much that we had to get another one the next day for lunch and they were just as good. Highly recommend the Dr. Pepper shake. Last time 2/5u Big let down, they complete messed up our order, gave my husband the wrong type of burger, forgot my gravy for my chicken strips and gave us diet soda when we ordered regular soda. Worse Whataburger ever! Always a problem. This store needs to be shut down, employees hired that know what customer service is and how to provide the correct condiments. Order taquitos, you don't receive salsa; order pancakes you don't receive syrup or butter; order hash-browns you don't receive ketchup. I know they are trying to cut food cost, but if customers don't eat there they won't need to cut the food cost. I love this location, right up the street from my house! Their fries are always fresh, granted we have to wait every time we've gone. Pro tip: don't order fries or hashbrowns unless you're willing to wait a bit. Im so serious, every single time we've gone we've had to wait if we've had anything that has to be fried. Not a bad thing because you know they'll be fresh and hot, but if you're in a hurry it can be frustrating. Their burgers are soooo good though! I order the Monterey melt with regular ranch each time. Ok it's a year later, & it's the closest Whataburger within 10 miles from me, so I thought I would try it again, my mistake! My original order was wrong not even close to what I actually ordered. I drove back up to the store and waited in the drive-through for well over 30 minutes, and I had to repeat my order four times, maybe five. The manager snatched the wrong burger from my hand and flung it into the garbage with my receipt. I finally received my replacement order after at least 45 minutes total time. The line of cars behind me wrapped around the building. Worst Whataburger ever! It's eight months later, and it's worse! I can honestly say there is retaliation for a bad YELP review. I saw all the previous reviews and comments and I thought let me still give this a try. It's the closet one. We had been going to the other whataburger in Watauga, but last night we just wanted shakes. Surely they can't mess a shake up. Two banana pudding shakes came out like two banana pudding milks. Shake was watery, powder not even fully mixed in and clumps just sitting at the bottom. The line wasn't even long and they clearly could've took their time and made a decent damn shake. But I'll tell what they do have, ATTITUDE!!! If you want some ATTITUDE with a side of ATTITUDE they got that!!! Poor customer service, not friendly, rushed out food with no care. I went to the drive through. I ordered a breakfast on a bun and a biscuit and gravy. I was the 4th car in line. It was at least 10 minutes before I received my food. The girl at the window was pleasant and courteous. I got home and was ready to eat my biscuit and gravy. The only problem was I didn't get any gravy! Wow, haven't went to Whataburger in a while and decided to stop in. The food was terrible. They are always slow like they are making it fresh but when you get it the burger is cold and the fries are hard. I got the #1 with cheese and with 3 cars in line they were in full scramble mode. We had to pull forward and wait. This food had so much salt on it you couldn't even eat it. There were hardly any vegetables on the burger and this cold meat and cheese combo sucked. Soooo frustrating when they mess up your order and you don't find out until you are 10 miles down the road! We went through the drive through at 8:15 on a Monday morning. Guess I should have checked the reviews first. We ordered 2 sausage egg biscuits and 2 coffees, and it took forever. Got on I-35 heading south and then opened up our order, they were both bacon egg biscuits. I don't know how you mix up sausage and bacon. We had gone way too far to go back. So then I tried a sip of my coffee and it was stone cold. Not lukewarm, but cold. We had to stop at QT and get a new breakfast. I called the manager but he just said "sorry" and nothing else. Ok so first of all my girl and i never really like coming to this whataburger because they always mess up our order or take forever and we just know the fries are gonna suck but I mean we still eat the food however it comes out because it's fast food who cares right. I mean it's a fast food restaurant mistakes are easy to make. But tonight I was in line waiting forever like usual after placing my order and as I got closer to the window I was seeing cars pulling into the 2nd lane. I just assumed it was ok to do that because some fast food restaurants now like cfa allow you to do the same for payments plus I didn't see any signs or whataburger employees out there telling anyone that it was the online order lane. So I pull into the lane and the manager starts shaking his head at me through the window and comes out the side door and asks me "why did you do that? Why would you pull into that lane? Did you place an online order?". I tell him no and that I didn't know it was an online order lane. He then asked me again " So why would you pull into that lane?". And I get it, I accidentally messed up their rotation or whatever but he could have simply asked me to scoot forward back into the first lane and I wouldn't have minded doing so and just continuing to wait for my order. But instead he wanted to question me like if I was dumb or something. Then he goes back inside and through the window he asks me what my order was, I tell him and he just looks at me and waves his hand as If I didn't answer his question so I repeat myself and half way through my sentence he just walks away and tells another employee to make my order. He then comes out with my order and as I'm trying to apologize and pay he just walks away. Now Im a server/ bartender at a very high volume restaurant and I get it people will come in and do something inconvenient every now and then. But I have never intentionally tried to make someone feel dumb or expressed how annoying their mistake was. I get it they were busy but it was an honest mistake that could have easily been fixed. I mean I was more than willing to move my car however they needed me to to help fix the problem but instead the manager wanted throw a fit and be rude. The whole thing was just childish and unprofessional. So just an fyi whatever you do guys DO NOT pull into the 2nd lane unless you've made an online order or else you'll have a manager throw a hissy fit and give you free food. read more

Also, they asked "would you like spicy or regular ketchup" before we moved up to spot 1 to wait for our food and we said "yes, we needs regular and LOTS of spicy, and we order other sauces as well, and do you think we got those? This is the slowest Whataburger ever!!! It's right down the street from where I live and I never go there if more than 1 car. I went there this AM and was in line for 10 minutes and no one moved. I live close by and frequent this whataburger, it has been fine up until the other day. I went in to order food before work and ordered my food, when I opened up my burger there was ketchup all over the outside of the bun and I was like what the heck. So I went back inside and told them about it and they made me another burger. What completely disgusted me was that every sandwich they made was getting dragged across the same steel counter top which was not clean to anyone's standard. Growing up in Dallas, eating at Whataburger was a weekly ritual until 1996 when I moved to the West coast. I enjoy it as much today as I did then. Made to order, fresh lettuce/tomatoes/onion and mustard is the standard on their burger...Whataburger will always be my fave fast food burger joint. This particular location I've visited twice. Todays visit was during lunch rush. The drive thru was packed & at a standstill so we went in to place our TO GO order. Received an accurate order timely & way before the drive thru moved. Unfortunately there is only one entrance into the car park & its parallel with the drive thru so it takes some patience & keen driving skills to get thru the car park madness but IMO its worth it. Would someone build one in Las Vegas? Please?? read more
