Not a bad experience at all! The customer service was wonderful and the options were plenty. Our food was delivered within the quoted 7 minutes timeframe (we asked beforehand because we had an appointment and wanted to make sure we had enough time to eat). My husband ordered the brisket nachos, but didn't take a bite because it wasn't what he was expecting. He said it looked like a plant threw up on his blue chips, HA. Nobody's fault as the ingredients are clearly listed on the menu, he was thinking it was something else. I order the quesa birria pork duo which was delicious. And my child ordered the Korean fried rice without jalepenos, she loved it so much. I have to point out the sweet tea wasn't super sweet as most Texas restaurants make, not a problem as there are plenty of other beverage options. All in all a good spot for fresh tacos in the Alliance area, we were just expecting something closer to Holy Tacos and this is not. But it's definitely better than Taco Bell, these tacos are made with super fresh veggies and ingredients. I have been to quite a few velvet tacos and normally have a good experience. I love their unique tacos with the different flavor profiles. The taco I got hit spot, but we were also trying to get some tacos for my kid and asked to do bean and cheese tacos. The person at the register, said that she could adjust the chicken taco and ring it up so it was just bean and cheese. Well my husband ordered 3 of them. When we got home, it was chicken, black beans and cheese, not what we wanted. Thankfully, I was able to take off the chicken, since I don't eat meat and eat the beans and cheese. But we had to get my kid something else to eat. Unless you want your kid to have a chicken taco, they really don't have any other options. I wish the person at the register would have said that verses getting our hopes up. I'll be back. But my husband and kid probably won't be. read more

Our personal favorites are the Chicken Tikka and the Quesa Birria Duo. I usually go for the Chicken Tikka Bowl, which is fantastic if you prefer your taco without the tortilla. It's about twice the amount of food as a regular taco (and about twice the price), but totally worth it. Service is always fast and friendly -- you order at the counter, and they call your name when it's ready. The vibe is energetic and fun, and the outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying a margarita on a nice evening. My only minor gripe is that the indoor space is a bit small and can get crowded, but that's just a sign of how popular this place is. I ordered the quesabirria tacos through their drive thru. The wait to order was not long but it did take some time to receive the food. The order was well packaged but that's it. The consomé sauce was cold and the taco had a tough corn tortilla folded in half with some sprinkled cheese and whatever leftover birria they had left. The order comes with 2 tacos, but both tacos were the same as shown in the photo. For the price and quality, I would rather drive 10 minutes farther down the road and get better quality AND quantity. Wife ordered Elotes and chips and was 6.00+. Tacos were 5.50 and up. The queso duo were overcooked, dry, cheese caked together the shell, the pickled onions were missing on one and just sitting on top of the other that was shut tied with caked cheese. Cashier was doing a fine job punching buttons on the register. Listening, not so much but par for the course for customer service now a days. Food was good but if you can't keep up with the dining room, I can't imagine how the food prep area is and don't want to think about it.
