My mom got a whataburger jr. with cheese and bacon with small fries. And a strawberry milkshake. My husband got the honey bbq chicken sandwich and onion rings. Stopped in about 1030 for an early lunch before heading on into Corpus Christi. We ordered a breakfast bowl and my standard four meat patties with cheese on each one, but this time I added four pieces of bacon to my order. When I went to pick it up, there were no bacon pieces on my burger patties. I asked about this and the employee said no you told me in a rude loud voice "you told me to put them on the breakfast bowl". And I said you're not the person with whom I placed my order, I have never seen you before so I don't know where this is coming from but seeing that you are angry about this, I'll just move them over myself. She gave me a very snarky look, and then rudely turned and walked away with a huff. Very rude not Customer Service oriented. They also had no water and no drinks available that day which I know happens it's probably not their fault but it just added to my frustration that we would not have stopped if we knew that was the situation. I would give this place a 1 out of 5 even though the food was ok. 3 people a head of me plus the drive thru traffic and I waited 20 minutes for my food. Counted 8 employees working. They really did not bring me my order until I complained, the employee went searching and complained to the cook(?) who told him the order was right in front of his eyes. The nearby employees got a good laugh. The employees area floor was a mess with food every where. The drink counter looked flooded and no cup tops. My order was for 2 chicken wings with fries. It was okay. Oil isn't being changed out frequently. I can tell by the fries. I use to work fast food many years ago and our fries would come out looking darker when it was time to change the oil. Definitely better than a 2 star rating but I have to say there is room for improvement. The wait for a Burger and Fries was too long if the fries were not hot and fresh. I ate less than half of the order if that tells you how disappointing they were. The Whataburger was good but even it did not seem right off the grill considering the wait. There was no staff shortage; quite the opposite, but it is 40 degrees outside --an anomaly for Texas--maybe that is the reason my food was cold? I'm still a believer. The Mineral Wells Whataburger has always been a great facility. The management hires physically & mentally challenged individuals and takes great strides to train them to be efficient employees. Other employees are good to help them be successful. We have observed this practice for many years and commend this management for their efforts. I highly recommend not to stop at this Whataburger. The service was completely awful as the workers were rude or unwilling to help us. The food was okay, but I think for the service we got it was for sure not worth it. My family came in simply to order and while the workers inquired about the specifics of our food, they asked in a way that they were seemed already aggravated despite these just being simple questions related to the food. As a fast food worker myself, I don't see any excuse as to why me and my family received such rude and unhelpful service. Twice in three days we had the worst experience at this Whataburger. To begin the floors were filthy, many booths not clean and left our family of 5 no where to sit together. I won't go into the restroom, but let's just say I wouldn't allow my youngest to go there. Elizabeth, the woman taking our order was so incredibly rude. She 100% should not be the face of your restaurant. She looked so put out to take our order and wouldn't look at us. Our food took forever to come out. A family of 5 came in behind and received their food before us. " When we asked for the manager, Amanda...she also looked put out to talk to us. We couldn't believe how she handled the situation. She was equally rude and dismissive. We will NEVER go back there! Passing through town, we've never been to Goliad and this was The most delicious Whataburger I've ever been to! The grilled chicken was So flavorful and perfect! The outdoor patio is very nice to sit and enjoy your food, especially if you have a pet with you :) the staff was super friendly and accommodating, would recommend going here! read more

I went to the whataburger with my family. I went to the restroom to wash my hands only to find an employee masterbauting on the toilet. I was disgusted and traumatized. If the Russian mafia made me choose between eating my own fingers or at this Whataburger, let's just say I'd be saving a lot of money on gloves. It's not that the food is terrible, it's about what you'd expect from a Whataburger. However, the customer service is so bad it should be the subject of a trial at the Hague. On my last and final trip to this eatery I was actually snipped at by one of the employees at the drive through for inadvertently confirming I had ordered a #7 when I had really ordered a breakfast taco. When I was given the wrong drink I kindly told the employee that that wasn't correct and it should have been an oj. Well this Irma Grese wannabe standing next to her says to me in a nasty tone "Well YOU told me YOU had a #7!" I was so shocked that an employee would talk to a customer this way over a simple misunderstanding that I couldn't even respond. So she proceeds to toss the bag of food on the counter and walk away. Look, I get it, fast food jobs aren't the most rewarding occupations but there is NO excuse for snapping at a customer like that for no good reason. YOU made the decision to work there, not me, and if you hate your job then find another one. But I'll be damned if I receive the brunt of your frustrations when I'm just trying to get a damn taco! Customer service is a dying art in this country and its because of people like this. This place just lost a customer forever.
