Whataburger IS my favorite anywhere! It just has a unique caramelized, beefy flavor with mustard y goodness that no one else has. I have been eating Whataburger since I was a kid in the 60's. Also, their fries ond onion rings are amongst the best tasting that I've had. Throw in their special Ketchup, and it's a satisfying meal! My last visit, the restaurant was a little slow, so the manager struck a conversation. Also, spent time training the employees. The restaurant was clean and the employees responsive. I do appreciate a visible manager. I do like this location. My only issue appears systemic. It doesn't matter what restaurant I visit, 3 out of 5 orders will be wrong or have missing items. When I went to order my food, the young man named Nick, approached me and said "Hold on Boss". I then, corrected him gracefully and said, Nick when you are addressing an adult over 50, you should address them as Mr. or Sir, and Nick started disrespectfully laughing at me. Then I asked to speak with the shift manager, Isabella, he came over and continued to laugh in my face. When I addressed the issue with Isabella she was dismissive, but I kindly asked for the GM's contact information, and she wrote on a sticky note, the HR #800-624-7090 When addressing the issue, she started to smirk in my face. I then kindly asked her to make sure that she preserved the video, because you can clearly see the interaction. After this she went to the back and called her PM(?) and said that her supervisor told her to ask me to leave. As I just order my food, but didn't pay. She then stated that I was harassing her employee, when I never said another thing to Nick, and was kind to the other employees. I stated I will gladly leave after receiving my food, and she said no and that she was calling the police. I never raised my voice, called anyone out their name, or cursed! What is interesting, last week I came to curbside and my order did not come out until 10 minutes after the estimated time. And whoever made my burger literally threw it in the wrapper. If you care about yourself at all, Never and I mean NEVER eat here, even if you're starving. They are filthy, do not practice food safety, and are rude and nasty about they're bad practices and service. I took a bite of my burger, realized it was made incorrectly, old, and cold. I returned the burger, with my receipt, and was met with verbal confrontation. I politely explained I do not want anything for free. I just want what I paid for since I provided food and receipt. They tried to just scrape off the unwanted items, add the forgotten cheese and return the same burger!! Horrifying, unacceptable, and completely against food safety regulations. I bit the burger. Once it left their hands it has to be thrown away!! There was no changing of gloves. That entire kitchen was then contaminated! Really friendly and solid customer service. I had a great first time experience trying Whataburger and ordering via drive thru window. I was given many recommendations from friends on what I should order but I decided to go with the classic chicken tenders as it's be the perfect vehicle to try Whataburger's unique selection of sauces. The strips were nothing special but I enjoyed them- 3 strips were pretty filling as the combo came with toast & fries. Now, as a sauce fanatic, I was lost in the sauce... in the best way possible! I asked for the gravy, creamy pepper, honey butter, jalapeno ranch, and spicy ketchup. My top three sauces for dipping were the 1) gravy (creamy, black peppery) 2) spicy ketchup (not spicy but a fun twist on your classic ketchup, reminded me of a more savory shrimp cocktail sauce) and 3) honey butter (no other words to describe aside from 'yum'). Fries weren't special but I love potatoes in all its forms. I look forward to my next visit! read more

I grew up in Texas where Whataburger is the best! I've been in Az over 15 years and when I get a craving for it I give in like an idiot and go to my local Whataburger in Goodyear on Indian School, I tried the new one on Estrella one day but low and behold, they were out of hamburger buns! Yes! So I just went to Indian School and I have decided it is alas my last time going to that place. As per usual, I got cold chewy fries that were probably sitting there for a while, not even under a lamp because they were not the slightest bit warm. Finally, the manager came over and took my order. They were out of coffee at 7am. Does that mean they hadn't made any for the day? Then my breakfast arrives and again the manager brings it to the table. The biscuit was so hard I couldn't eat it. On the way back to the counter the manager steps over trash on the floor. Whataburger is nearby our house and it just works for us! I am from the East coast where I had never heard of this fast food place. Almost 15 years after moving to AZ I remember the first time having this crazy named burger. I didn't know what to get but it was for sure very tasty. Now that I have it as often as I can when I am in a hurry, or just as often as I do tacos, (hello? we do leave in AZ) I have been able to customize exactly what I like. I really enjoy their onion rings and being from Latin America, of course, I love that n a fast food place I can add avocado to my cheeseburger with grilled onions. YUMMM. The kids also enjoy the fact that sometimes they enjoy the nuggets which they call bites or they might want the chicken tenders. Sometimes I might even want one of those tenders, however, I always stick to the usual. My burger and onion rings. I know there are plenty of reasons why so many low reviews, specially for the customer service, thankfully, every time I have been to this location, which is usually the one I mostly go to. Not only did the boys LOVE their meal (scored me some momma points), but the manager, Juan, provided the BEST customer service that just isn't around anymore. He was super helpful with the order, offered to deliver the food to us, brought some extra fruit snacks for the players, and delivered the food at the exact time he promised. This is my first time trying Whataburger. It was decent. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with the sausage and egg taquito combo. The taquito was more of a mini burrito. It tasted all right. My boyfriend really likes the mushroom Swiss burger. I didn't really like the tanginess of the sauce. The hash browns were not good. They were soggy from the oil and did not taste fresh. Well, I want to rename it to WhataBADburger. I ordered a guacamole/bacon burger. I wondered why my bag was light as a feather. I had the thinnest piece of meat I've ever seen, that was cooked so well done, every bit of moisture was cooked out. I had to search for what little guacamole was on there. I asked for mine to be wrapped in lettuce and what they did is put a scant piece of old dark lettuce on top and another little piece of lettuce on the bottom. That's hardly a wrap. The saving grace was their creamy pepper sauce which was yummy. For this, I paid $7.60. To get a normal size patty, you would need to order a triple. I was visiting AZ with a friend and decided to stop in to the infamous Whataburger because of people's bold claims such as "It's WAY BETTER than In-N-Out." I looked over the menu beforehand and found many, many delicious-looking options to choose from. Upon arrival, one thing I can say with certainty is that the customer service is TOP-NOTCH --we were greeted and the staff was seriously super cool, especially Jackie (I believe that's her name). She went above and beyond, delivering amazing service. Her attitude was awesome and her bubbly energy was contagious. This poor rating has nothing to do with customer service being crappy; it's about the food entirely. The best way to describe the quality of the food is like this: imagine Jack in the Box having a seemingly endless supply of meat, buns, and fries that are about to expire...but instead of tossing it out, they donate it to Whataburger, who then sells it at an above decent price. The bacon cheese burger tasted extremely old and dry, and don't even get me started with the "fresh avocado"! This guacamole mix tasted bland and straight from a frozen bag. Biting into the onion rings was like biting into nothing but oil-soaked, tasteless batter. The sauces were alright, but absolutely nothing to brag about.
