First time I've ever seen this location full on the inside, and a big line at the drive-through. Apparently, they upped their standards here! The food was Whataburger quality, came out reasonably quickly. Their onion rings are good, but they aren't the best I've ever had. Typical Whataburger atmosphere, however, clean and well maintained. I'm know I'm being repetitious here, but it's so surprising to see employees hurrying around, and highly concerned with what customer thought! I usually only come here when I have a coupon, but I'm rethinking that now that it seems to be a really good place to come back to! Patience is a virtue, they say. And this Whataburger, especially, is going to test it. I landed late, and just needed to pick up something before I went home, and there was no on there. Not inside, nor in the drive thru. Score. I pull up to the speaker and am told they will be with me in a minute. It was more like 6 minutes. I ordered one taquito and was told to pull up. Where I resume my waiting. When he finally came to the window, he was friendly. And possibly the only person there, because there didn't seem to be any movement inside. But the whole thing took just under 15 minutes. The taquito was good and it was freshly prepared. However, I will say, since they've gone corporate, it seems the portion sizes have gotten smaller and yet increasingly expensive. One taquito is going to cost you $4. read more

We came late at night and ordered via drive-thru. The wait time for food was longer than normal, had a car infront of us and we both had to pull forward to wait for food. My onion rings and burger were fresh but the other order we had felt older with flimsy and squishy fries. The main issue is our sweet and spicy bacon burger was made wrong since they left on onion and mustard. Frist time trying this restaurant as we don't have whataburger in Florida. I was excited until we started ordering the cashier asked me about 3 -5 times to donate which I politely declined. Then after paying I checked my receipt to find out that I was charged for another meal that I didn't order. The cashier argued with me and refused to fix error. Thankfully the manager on staff tried to fix issue and cashier walked off the register. This was very strange but the manager quickly fixed order issue and food was on point. In the past, this Whataburger was not as good as the other Grapevine location over by Bass Pro. It is just rundown, service was hit-or-miss, and the crowd could get a little weird being this close to downtown. Late night crowds can get rowdy. Another downside to this place is the drive-thru. It can take quite a long time to get through, so you may be better off going in and ordering takeout if you see that line go past the menu/speakers. Lately, though - the quality of the food has been good. I haven't been very often due to trying to lay off of meat, but I recently discovered the Whatacatch sandwich. I had no idea WB even had a fish sandwich, and I am glad I found this. I've had two from here so far, and both were delicious. The breading is crisp without being greasy, and the fish actually tastes like fish. You can probably get this sandwich without tartar sauce on request - it can be a bit much if you aren't a tartar sauce fan. I'm glad business is still good for them with all the COVID happenings - just be ready to wait some for your food as this place gets super packed at times. I wasn't familiar with Whataburger at all when I went here the first time, but over the course of the next week, I went back several times. I didn't know what to expect and I had the standard Whataburger each time. I really liked them and that's why I got the same thing each time. The place is clean and fully staffed. The wait time was really nothing since I ate inside each time. They bring the food to your table. I've got nothing but good things to say about the place. Also the restrooms are clean and I saw someone check it at about 15 minute intervals and I heard a manager ask if it was clean one of those times. This happened each time I was there. DO NOT EAT AT THIS WHATABURGER! Literally go to any other location, I received the rudest service tonight. Wish i could leave no stars! Waited 40 minutes with no food, 2 people that ordered after me got their food before i did and the restaurant was dead. We were the only people in there. Around the 30 minute mark i went up to ask how much longer and the new girl went to ask the manager and said she started working on it. They were understaffed and after an additional 10 minutes of waiting with no food we went up and asked the manager for a refund because we had to go. She gave us and the new girl at the counter attitude. She said she remembered making it and ended up finding our food under one of the counters in the kitchen where it had been the whole time we were waiting. She blamed the two teens and berated them while processing the return. When we asked for the refund receipt she refused to give it to us. She then snatched the drink we had been sipping on while waiting and told the new girl to throw it away. She was so mean and acted like we were inconveniencing her. Been living in Grapevine area the last 22 years and this location has provided THE WORST FAST FOOD EXPERIENCE for as long as I can remember. First of all- there was a bug in my girlfriends burger.... (I will) Do not got through the drive thru unless you feel like repeating your order 8 times to the employee (just for it to be wrong), waiting 20 minutes per car, and being treated like pond scum by the attendant(s). I can't be more serious, anyone who is from Grapevine will attest. The lady working the drive thru tonight (Tuesday, 8/8 around 9pm) was so rude. When I pulled up to the window I asked if there was mustard on the burger (I got it dry, speaking from experience here you need to always double-check that it's right). She gave me the NASTIEST look just for asking her a simple question and SLAMMED the window while I was talking. Flabbergasted. I mean come on. You aren't trying to solve world hunger or cure diseases here. How hard is it to hire employees that possess at least BELOW average customer service skills? The ones here now have NO customer service skills. Every time I pull up to the drive through line I feel like an utter inconvenience to the employees. This was the last time I go to this location. I would say the one in the town over is a bit of a drive but I think I can still beat that 2-car drive-thru line. Just close down or fire everyone honestly. The car next to me told me they aren't monitoring their online orders. So I went in and waited. And waited.
