Now I tried to give it a first time flaw when they forgot one of my burgers the last time I was there, but tonight was unheard of. Driving for hours and decide to give them another chance because it's late and I don't have other options at this hour. But to totally forget 3 items out of the 5 ordered is insanity! Now I have to go inside after waiting in the drive through just hear someone yelling "I need a receipt" as though I'm lying, then for me to produce said receipt just to get the items with an attitude. I'm good. Never again Ps. Just to get all the way home after typing this and realize as I take an enormous gulp from my soda only to realize it's the wrong kind!!! Ok universe I hear you. Not ever again.

A Whataburger in this part of town was very much needed! There's actually a lot of new restaurants in this State Farm Parkway area. The service here is exceptional with very friendly staff too. I love the chicken tenders here and they have sauces galore. It's hard to choose what sauces I want sometimes! Their fries are delicious too. This location is still very clean and relatively new (under 2 years I think). I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this location.

Location Location Location! Prime spot on Lakeshore drive You can't miss this new spot. Dropped by today at 6 PM and let's just say it was super busy! From a first-hand glance, lots of ample parking and great curb appeal. My friends and I were greeted with really warm hospitality and quickly ushered to the menu. The location was extremely clean and well kept. For food, I was very inclined to go for the infamous patty melt, however, I knew I should have been eating healthier so I went for the grilled chicken sandwich combo. I substituted the french fries for onion rings and got a drink. Portion sizes were great! The grilled chicken sandwich was extremely juicy and the sauce perfectly paired with it. Onion rings were fresh out of the fryer and very crispy. I personally think they could have had a little more onion in it. As for condiments, I was a little let down here. Perhaps I am a newbie at Whataburger, but typically I have no issues getting condiments for my meal. When asking for a few sauces here today, I was informed that I had to pay for them. So just a heads up if you typically like to get sauces. Other than that, it was a great time. The hospitality was great and the food tasted wonderful. If you are ever in the area, stop by!

Ok ok ok. So what had happened was!!!!! There really isn't a Whataburger on my side of town. I wanted to check the menu and ended up installing the app. It gave me a free burger which expired today so I went to get my burger. I do not line their app. An app should allow you to pay in store and method the verifies your card is not satisfactory to me. When I return, I probably won't use the app again. The servers there were nice and thanks to them my drink turned out well. The Arnold Palmer I ordered wasn't that good but a complimentary drink was nice.,This was my first time at that shop so the setup in not what I was use. The workers would have me make a return visit.

Been waiting after ordering for 10 minutes and still haven't paid

This is the worst and slowest whataburger in the world. You will always spend at least an hour in the drive thru. They are slow and stupid.

Absolutely delicious and crave worthy. The burger was juicy and flavorful everything I wanted. The bun was toasted to perfection. My husband got the regular hand cut fries and I got the sweet potato fries. Literally the best SP fries I've ever had they were crispy and perfect balance of salty sweet. Yum! I wish we had one in HSV guess I'll have to drive back just for the burgers lol. They also serve different styles of hotdogs and fried pies for dessert. They have a few beer options and fountain drinks. Our food came out quickly and the whole place had a funky cool vibe.

They have a wide variety of specialty burgers, hot dogs, and sides, and I feel that I could try something new every time I come here. I chose to order the Vulcan hot dog, named after an infamous monument of Birmingham. I love how they have so many different types of hot dogs with varying toppings to make your order truly personalized. I chose the spicy option with jalapeños and it did not disappoint! Also, these are the best fries I have had in Birmingham if you are looking for a plant-based option here. When I ordered, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome. She told me it would be right out, and my order was given to me within 5 minutes. Besides the great food, the ambience is the best part of this place! There is an upstairs area with additional seating, and the interior of the restaurant is covered with vintage, American decor. The walls and decorations really sell the All-American vibe associated with burgers and hot dogs. If you are looking for a new, local burger spot that feels like home this is a great option!

Fresh, handmade and not overly greasy. The sauce was not too overwhelming and paired well. This was easy to digest and honestly I could have sat there and ate two. I really wish they had fries to pair with it. Chips only. For 3 sandwiches and 2 small drinks, our total was $25.08 with $1 tip. Fast service! My burger was made before I paid with the person at the counter as she was trying to get a togo order together. Parking is overall fairly easy. This is a good solid choice for lunch/ dinner. We added the sweet tea and everything was pleasing to the tastebuds. The cooks and checkout clerks were friendly held welcoming conversations. When over this way I plan on returning. Again, everything was really good.

Located across from Planet Fitness and beside Davenport's Pizza, they share a fun common area with Taco Mama and Paneras. There's plenty of tables outside with artificial tuff and kids toys for entertainment. There's also comfortable indoor seating if you want to keep away from the outside heat or cold. The tables are bare so you have to head to the cleanup kiosk by the entrance to get your napkins, cutlery, cups of ketchup and packets of mustard. In another corner is a large upright cooler that houses the bottled water and canned drinks. Finally there's a large counter to place and pick up your order with a large viewable kitchen directly behind. The Standard is owned by a Korean couple, Young Shin and Kookie Kim. This the second Standard with the first being in the Pizitz Food Hall downtown across from the McWane Center. They make their beef fresh from scratch every morning and want to be "honest" with their food. Being newly open, the dining room is immaculate. There are not many decorations on the walls as two walls of their dining room are clear glass which makes the dining room look much bigger and brighter. Their menu is the definition of simplicity. 3 categories: Under Burger & Sandwiches they have: Cheeseburger, Black Bean Veggie Burger, Double Bacon Cheeseburger, Patty Melt, Fried Bologna, Pilly Cheesesteak & Chicken sandwich. Under Hot Dogs: Birmingham Dog, Grilled Cheese & Plain Dog. Under Add-Ons: Fried Egg, Bacon, Smashed Avocado, Pickled Jalapenos, Grilled Onions, Sauerkraut, etc. Paul and Linh both got a Cheeseburger. It looks Yuge and must've been good because they both finished it. Matthew got the Patty melt. It was also big with 2 burger patties mashed together between 2 buttered slices of bread, pimento cheese and onions. Tammy tried the Philly cheesesteak. The slices of meat were smoothered with white american cheese, grilled onions and drizzled with garlic aoli. It was pretty good. I tried their Chicken sandwich. My piece of chicken was Yuge! It was nicely breaded and fried. It's nice when the chicken is larger than the buns which were buttered and lightly toasted. With the mayo and pickles, it was one of the better chicken sandwiches I've eaten. Finally we all shared a large order of their tater tots. I love tater tots and these were hot out of the fryer Yom Yom good! A prickly afterthought was the fact they add a 3.5% non-cash fee. So if you're paying with anything other than cash, you will be billed an additional 3.5%. So for my total of $34.50, my fee was $1.21. No big deal. So if you're planning a date night, stop by The Standard for a quick bite then walk ove to the AMC for a nice movie. Welcome to Vestavia, Standard.
