I have been coming to this location for years, even before the pandemic. My food is always fresh and hot! The manager Sarah is the best manager of a Whataburger I have experienced. Service is always very slow. I stop by for breakfast on they way from work and it always takes 15 minutes to get a taquito early in the morning. Shelbi is the BIRGHT STAR at this location. I'd really like to see her move to a different location or even organization where she could be appreciated and excel. Shelbi remembers everyone's order. She is kind and helpful. I used to go to the drive though and started going inside after she moved to a new position because my order would not be correct without here present. This is my favorite location to come to. The food is always hot when I order for lunch. Ali there is super attentive and courteous. This is a very dirty, disgusting Whataburger option. There is one on 59 if you head back towards the Galleria just a few more exits. You should probably go to that one - it is much cleaner and respectable. The only reason you should end up here is if you are driving from Sugar Land into downtown early in the morning and you just don't know of anything else that is going to be open this early. Because the food/service/cleanliness is basically a huge joke, and something that Ms. Whataburger herself would never let happen if she still paid attention to the business, rather than off enjoying her fantastic wealth in the Netherlands Antilles. This is kind of like a bus station restroom. If you absolutely need to use it, then yeah, don't tell anyone. You can do better. You can do a lot better. read more

It's your typical Whataburger serving up food "just how you like it". The building itself is an older one and the exterior has seen better days but then again this particular area has seen better days. The aesthetics do not take away from the service, at least in my experience. The employees and manager that I've encountered were friendly and didn't make me feel rushed. My orders have been correct with no food left out. I've always gotten my food to go here and never dined in. From what I did see, the dining area was mostly clean with a couple tables having leftover crumbs & errant fries from previous customers who obviously knew nothing of tidy eating. The employees did clean up. As with most Whataburger restaurants, the food was served hot, fresh and tasty. I'm a fan of the honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich as well as the burgers. Whataburger has some super great malts no matter which one you go to. They're especially good made with extra malt which they will gladly do for you. The only hit or miss here are the fries which can at times be not so crisp and lean toward the soggy side. Other times they're great. The onion rings are just okay. While this isn't my usual Whataburger, it's not a bad place to stop for a burger when I'm passing by. read more

I have only been here a few times, but the few times I have been here, my order has been okay. The food is always hot when I get it and the french fries are delicious. I a a fan of the chicken fajita taco. It is grilled and I believe it is 380 calories. I do not order many different things on their menu. I stick to the chicken strips and the chicken fajita taco. I think for fast food, the prices are a little pricey, but it is right up the street from my home. One time, I needed a late night fix, and the food hit the spot for me. Since I love Whataburger so much I had to leave this review in the hope of someone do something about this location. This is one of the worst locations I have been in. Very rude staff, when I was going to get my food the girl was fighting with one of her coworkers and the yelled at me asking me what did I order when there was only one person behind me, so it was pretty obvious which was my order, so my response was a puzzled face and now she yelled at me : why you looked at me like that? My mom and I we usually have breakfast at whataburger on Thursday's the one beltway 8 and beechnut. Since we were closer by 59 and bissonnet we decided to have breakfast here. As soon as we step in the line was a bit long it's understandable for being breakfast hour. As we got closer to order one of the cashier was telling the manager she needed change but she was completely ignoring the cashier. When it was our turn the manager and the cashier disappeared. They didn't bother in telling us if we could wait or to give them a moment. The cashier went to the back and the manager went inside a closet behind the register. 10 minutes passes by and nobody had taken our order. Everyone is doing their own thing and talking. Until a lady name Claudia notice and asked us if we have already order. We tell her no she notices the manager is gone and apologize saying the manager is supposed to be the cashier. We go sit down to wait for our food to eat inside. Once our food is ready the manager brings it to us she didn't bother to greet us nor look at us. I was reaching to get the tray from her and tell her thank you but at the same time she basically slam the tray on the table and she left. She didn't bother to ask if we needed any napkins,jelly or something. Which other whataburger do. Claudia was the only person to actually help us and was the only one to greet us leaving. I would give absolutely zero stars if that was possible. I had to repeat my order 4 times to the "kid" taking the order. It was like he was purposefully not listening. Then I get to the window and they have messed it up. Don't offer to fix it or make it right. I should have gone in right then and demanded my money back. Instead I call the manager and ask her to credit back the wrong part of the order and she says if I come back she'll do it. Absolutely NOT. I was already there I don't want to go back.
