    Chimichanga Dinner with horchata
    Desarae C.

It was very quiet when I went in on Saturday night at 8. I live very close and it's usually quiet. I order a beef fajita chimichanga dinner to go. It took about 10-15 minutes for it to come out. I got a chicken chimichanga instead of beef, BUT it's delicious! I'm actually glad I got chicken. The Horchata is very good. A good amount of spice to it. I will be returning for a quick good dinner!

    Brenda's #2 at Bissonnet & Woodfair

Brenda's has 4 locations, this one being the 2nd. After living 7 years in the general neighborhood and having ate at their Gessner location a few years back, I stopped in to this one earlier in the week, before making another visit to the Gessner location. I returned a 2nd time to this location, yesterday evening. The interior is your typical Fast Food Joint looking place and that's different than the original's look The place SHOULD be much busier than it is, despite the sketchy neighborhood it borders, on Bissonnet at Woodfair. Don't let the empty parking dissuade you from dining in, or doing takeout, including the drive-thru. It is perfectly placed, located as it is between the 59 & Beltway 8, but has the unfortunate fate of having a Pappa's as a close neighbor, a Whataburger near the 59, and a Popeye's near BW 8. 3 Metro Buses can be caught on the corner and the Westwood Park & Ride is an easy walk nearby. The counter lady was friendly. The menu is varied and the prices affordable. It is Open 24 hour 7 days a week. I had the Burger & Fries and the Pechuga De Pollo Chicken Breast Burrito both of my visits, doing takeout. All very tasty and recommended. I will return to try other items on the menu.

I ordered the shrimp burrito dinner , The taste is just "okay" for the price and it came very quick to the table

I ordered the shrimp burrito dinner with a side of fries and a lemonade ... very huge portions ! The taste is just "okay" for the price and it came very quick to the table. This is one of those convenient mom and pop shops , and you get what you pay for , service was fast and friendly . No complaints. And LEMONADE TASTES DELICIOUS !

Ordered the chichorron , chicken amd steak tacos and burrito and it was so good. These are real tacos with cilantro and onions..not the fake ones..the burrito was smothered in real cheese and stuffed with rice, beans, meat, avocado and sour cream

This place closes at fucking 3t they are either too fucking stupid or dont realize on google and on their own neon sign says their open 24 hoursam to 6am for cleaning ye. I drove 15 mins to get here and they were so fucjing dismissive about the fact that I'm pointing that their sign says 24 7 thats lit while telling me they arent 24 7. Fuck this place and their fucjing "open 24 7" sign.

Barbacoa taco and chicken breast burrito
    Tom S.

This place is a pleasant surprise, cheap good food just what you'd expect from a late night Latin restaurant but the waitresses speak really good English. I tried the chicken breast burrito and a barbacoa taco on flour. The burrito was just okay, chicken was cooked well but lacked flavor, it was filled out with the usual stuff lettuce, tomatoes, beans, sour cream but I was disappointed it didn't have any Spanish rice. I had to add their salsa to give it more taste. The barbacoa taco was phenomenal!!! The meat was hot, really juicy but had hardly any of that greasy oil dripping out that you usually have when eating barbacoa. Onions were a nice white color and perfectly crunchy, cilantro looked fresh and clean. I highly recommend trying this! The chips and salsa they had are fantastic, that GREEN SAUCE is on point!!! It's creamy with just the right amount of kick that sneaks up on you. I did not try the red sauce because I was too busy swallowing the green sauce. Prices for everything are very reasonable and the overall restaurant vibe is clean with that typical Latin feel. I definitely plan to come back to try their tortas and gorditas, the gorditas my friend had looked even more delicious than my taco is.

It was my first time trying out Tex mex style. It was so busy on a Saturday evening. The chips that were given to each table was incredibly warm and the sauces paired so well. At brunch, the papas bravas come as small cubes of fried potato with an airy crunch that gives way to a soft, pillowy center - the kind of deeply satisfying bite that makes conversation briefly irrelevant. Crisp prosciutto adds salt, aioli brings richness, and smoky chile sauce keeps it lively. They're served with cactus-handled toothpicks, which are almost offensively adorable. The chilaquiles divorciados are another hit. The chips are dressed with salsa rather than drowned beneath it, so each one arrives ready for the perfect bite. It's a small distinction, but an important one. Then there are the enfrijoladas: rolled quesadillas in fluffy tortillas, covered in creamy black bean sauce and plated with more care than bean and cheese might seem to warrant. The dish is fundamentally simple, but that's the point. Soft tortilla, savory beans, melted cheese, bright salsa. Familiar ingredients transformed into something deeply comforting--the culinary equivalent of curling up beneath a warm blanket on a cold morning, even if Houston rarely provides one. Dinner shifts into another gear. The crudos are sensational, especially the tuna tiradito - a rolling wave of flavor and texture. The tacos are excellent across the board, but the crispy maitake mushrooms are unmatched. The short ribs arrive juicy and tender on a mole negro that doesn't sit politely in the background. It lands dark, complex, and full of flavor. And then there's the masa cornbread, a masterpiece of unapologetic indulgence. Humble cornbread meets savory-sweet mole, smoky, earthy butter, and caviar. It sounds like too much. It isn't. Every element earns its place. The cocktails deserve their own warning. They're the kind that convince you to keep ordering the same drink all night. By the end, you may have forgotten what was in it. What you'll remember is that it was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and exactly what you needed. Maximo makes ambitious food feel generous rather than fussy. Come hungry.

The experience started poorly with the valet attendants, whom we found to be rude, dismissive, and very unprofessional. It was such an unpleasant first impression that my wife and I mentioned it to the hostess when we went inside. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The hostess seemed completely unconcerned about our experience and simply informed us that the wait for a table was approximately two hours. While deciding whether our party should wait or go elsewhere, I went to the bar to order a drink. After ordering, the bartender told me that if I was only having a drink, I needed to move. Apparently, sitting at the bar required ordering a meal. At that point, we had experienced enough. Between the unpleasant valet experience, the indifferent response at the hostess stand, the two-hour wait, and then being told I couldn't sit at the bar simply to have a drink while we decided what to do, the overall message was clear: we did not feel welcome here. My wife, the rest of our party, and I decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere. A busy restaurant is understandable. A long wait is understandable. What is much harder to understand is making prospective customers feel unwelcome at nearly every point of contact. Needless to say, this was an exceptionally disappointing experience, and we will not be returning.
