I went to Whataburger tonight to get a couple of salads and a burger. After getting to the window we were asked to pull up so that they could make the salads... After 15 minutes of waiting I decided to go up to the walk out door and knock to make sure that they didn't forget us since we had already paid the $30.70. An employee opened the door and a manger walked by and I asked them about the salads to which they replied with "this door needs to stay closed" as they pulled the door shut in my face. I called the store to ask what was going on and someone answered and told me they would take care of it. After a few minutes I called back and the phone had been disconnected... After another 10 minutes of waiting I pulled around to the front to go into the store to at least get my money back, but as soon as I got out of my car someone was there with the food and told me everything was freshly made. Upon getting home (which is literally 2mins away) and eating, the burger was already fully room temperature with everything on it even tho I ordered it a specific way. The salads didn't come with everything they were supposed to have on them and I ended up sitting in a Whataburger parking lot for 30 minutes. The onion rings were good tho. read more

amazing place - inexpensive, feels like Texas (which after being here 35+ years I've only recently come to the visceral realization that Texas is not the same thing as 'The South', Texas being it's own individualistic state and state of mind) and always tastes great! Great shakes, burgers, Monterrey Melt - i order it without the creamy sauce, it's 'fine'!! The cleanest, the nicest, the best place to eat a burger. Every time I come here the staff is warm and welcoming, the food is delicious and the place is ultra clean. This has been our spot since we have moved here a year ago. We had a problem happen today and they resolved it whole heartedly. We ordered via "car pickup" because we were on a time frame. Unfortunately, we waited longer than the time they said we were going to wait. My husband was upset and explained his frustration and they apologized. What they did not tell us is that they super sized our drink and our fries and added in an extra portion of food. Thank you for your superb customer service. We will continue to come to you! I hadn't dined inside a Whataburger for a while. Upon seeing that the drive-through lanes were long, I parked and went in. I ordered a junior Whataburger. It took a while to be served and I have no idea why. Now Whataburger gives you a number tent to put on your table, and they bring the food out to you. My burger wasn't that great. I've had a better burger there. What's cool now though is that the server has a tray of condiments for one to pick, including napkins. This makes great business sense. It prevents waste and hoarding by customers. Good for Whataburger. If you park on the right side of the building, it might be hard to exit if the second drive-thru lane is blocking the exit lane. This is bad planning but maybe Whataburger is trying to speed up service and prevent one line to back up all the way to San Felipe. read more

My first ever Whataburger experience and we had the Honey BBQ Chicken Strip sandwich which was incredible and two Whataburger Juniors and washed it down with some Chocolate Shakes. Our new best friend Isaac came around to our table and brought us our food and we experienced some fine Houston hospitality as Isaac provided us some incredible service and made the experience here next level. I will be recommending this location to all my friends and can't wait to come and try more All-Time Favorites which really make this place stand out. read more

Gravely disappointed. And i usually LOVE whataburger :-( This particular whataburger's drive-thru is set up all weird. First i had to wait ten minutes behind a car whose driver was being flirted with by the window guy only to find out that i have to drive all around the restaurant to come to the front of the building to place my order. Finally once i find my way over to the elusive ordering speaker, the guy cant understand a word im saying and i cant understand a word of his cuz he is too busy having a laugh-out-loud conversation with his mates. I make my way back to the original window i started off at and place my order. Whatasize my meals and pay them good money for triple-meat burgers, all the while hearing about the bra size of the previous customer. Lo and behold my order is wrong. All mediums, wrong drinks, the whole nine. This guy was so distracted by the boner the previous customer gave him that it completely stopped bloodflow to his brain therefore prevented him from paying attention to a single word i said. I will not give this location another shot. After a 45 minute wait and wasting so much money and not get any service or quantity of food is unacceptable, and im all for second chances but not from this level of unprofessionalism and incompetency. read more

For a fast food place, Whataburger is great. I think the only place that beats Whataburger in terms of customer service is Chick-fil-a. The employees are pleasant and always greet you with a smile. I've had a few instances where my order was incorrect, and I didn't realize it until I made it all the way home, but I called to let them know, and the manager has been very nice in correcting the issue. They want to make sure you are satisfied and getting a great customer service experience. I'm a fan of the food also. My two sons and I can share one meal (we don't eat a lot) so that saves a little money since the portions are large. read more

I was in Houston for four days and I couldn't tell you the name of one street. All I know is that I stayed somewhere around the Galleria, so I'm going to guess that the Whataburger at this address would be the source of the best damn meal I had in Houston. Did you ever read the book "What's Eating Gilbert Grape"? Remember the Burger Barn? I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this place as we drove past on the way to the crib, for it is just as I imagined the Burger Barn to be. I actually wish I had gone in the restaurant just to see the uniforms the staff are made to wear. Next time. In any case, holy hell, that burger was bigger than my head! As was the drink. I had the meal delivered to my quarters, and my delivery boy super-sized that shit. Everything really is bigger in Texas, cause that super-size puts McD's to SHAME. The burger was meaty-tasting, which I loved, though just a tad dry, but stellar for a fast food establishment. The fries were not too crispy and not too soggy. Just perfect. And they stayed that way for a while. The drink was like the biggest of the Big Gulps and was consumed over the next 8 hours. Awesome. I had to look twice to make sure I was in Whataburger--this is a fast food place right???? I was confused.... After seeing the long drive through line, I decided to be a rebel, park it, and get my spicy fish sandwich inside. I walked in, and was immediately greeted with a WELCOME to Whataburger! There was no line, ordered my Fish Sandwich for Lent, with some awesome onion rings, and presto, they were out in minutes. I was given a number, in which when it was called, a nice lady brought my food to me, along with a tray of "fancy" ketshup, salt ect. I felt as if I accidentally wondered into a restaurant. Everyone, the customer service here is fantastic for how crowded it is, and they can't help that! Every time I've been, (yes i'm ashamed to admit I crave whataburger jalapeno cheeseburgers) the customer service has been outstanding. It is not their fault they have a very small lot, and they unfortunately are the only fast food joint on San Felipe for quite a bit! Food is good the service is good but DO NOT use the drive thru. They have made it super narrow and there is a curb that sticks out near the call box. If you are too close as you would expect to be after ordering, it completely scratches your rims. After looking at this spot more i noticed the curb has a lot of damage which means a lot of cars have that problem. It's such a bad design and small location for the amount of traffic this place gets. You can always go inside but if it's busy there is no place to park as it is small. Would rather go to a different location that has a more accessible lot when they have lots of business. The staff seems friendly and the girls working there try their best. read more

ok, again... traveling... on a budget... tried the steak sauce burger which was pretty greasy even if you are in the mood for greasy, and I'd say the same thing about the onion rings. Now, keep in mind that the medium in Texas is like the supersized size in California. I liked the honey biscuit better on my last trip to Texas. But what saved my trip was the chocolate pie and the strawberry pie. I took them to go for a snack on the road. The crust was flaky and good, The strawberry filling was delicious, and at a later time, the chocolate filling was wonderful. They are only available for a limited time. And, I just have to say... I live around the corner from this Whataburger. Tonight is definitely the last time I'll visit this place. The guy taking the drive thru orders was incredibly rude, and not in a "I'm hangry so I think everyone's rude" way. The Hispanic kid delivering food orders at the drive thru was cool. I was slightly annoyed but then became totally annoyed and shocked when I noticed the black guy who was taking orders rolling his eyes at the person he was currently taking an order from over the intercom AND THEN PRESIDES to call her a not so nice term that rhymes with "stupid ditch" after he turned his Janet Jackson mic thing off.
