Good burger spot located inside Post, they have their dishes on display so you see the size and look. They definitely grab your attention with the American melted cheese. I tried the double good burger and it was good I like that it was not too salty or greasy. Also not too heavy either I was able to eat most of the burger and not feel bloated. The bun is soft and the cheese is melted, patties are a good size not too thick or thin. Fries were good as well although they do not come you have to add them. This restaurant actually came up as the 2nd most recommend restaurant in the POST and I had 1 hour to kill so I tried it one weeknight. There were no other customers at the time, but that's to be expected for a slow Monday. The menu is quite simple with just 4 different entrees, 3 different ways to order fries, and a few soft drink options in a cold case. Everything here is a la carte but there is a combo option where you can save about $3 off the regular menu pricing. I chose the "Double Good" and added a patty for $3 more figuring the patties are most likely very thin. The burger comes with lettuce, onion tomato, pickles and special sauce. I subbed the American for Swiss, but the Swiss ended up being a Swiss-American blend, so it tasted mostly like American cheese which I hate. I keep having bad luck with Swiss lately. The patty is about 1/4 lb and tastes similar to a home cooked burger. I ended up setting the burger down and just eating the patty with a fork since I didn't like the taste of the cheese, sauce, or the entire burger as a whole after a handful of bites. Something about a burger joint in a food court just screams mediocrity in my head, so imagine my surprise when I took a bite of their Double Good and discovered that it's one of the best burgers I've had in a while. I can't quite identify any single ingredient that made the burger pop out; everything had simply been cooked right. The cooks even paid attention to detail by delicately stacking each layer, leaving only minimal signs of handling behind on the toasted buns. I didn't mind the classic fries, though I'm not sure I'd get them again for $5. They felt too crispy for my liking and lack any sort of seasoning that sets them apart from other fries. Out of all the food concepts, I sense that this is the one of most approachable and relatable stalls in the entire hall. As for the food, it's a solid burger and a good option for drunk food post boozing at places like Return to Sender. (#1) Like any burger and fry joint, the menu is extremely simple. The Double Good ($12) is a double patty with American cheese with pickles and their signature sauce over a toasted bun. After throwing in a combo for fries and a drink, it really comes out to be just under $20 for a meal. The burgers have some solid add-ons that include cheese, jalapeños, bacon, grilled onions, and a fried egg. There are also alternatives, such as the Golden Frisco ($12), which is exactly like the Double Good, but with onion jam and Texas toast. The Beyond Swiss ($13) is their plant based option and the Wagyu Hot Dog ($12) is for anyone who's not feeling the burger life. The latter is probably their least appealing option and it's certainly not better than the hot dog joint across the way (#2) I think my favorite option here is the loaded fries ($12), which is really the burgers deconstructed and laid over a bed of fries. The real selling point is their cheese sauce drenched over the burger patty and grilled onions, along with their special sauce. It's a pure gut bomb of a meal, but an intensely satisfying one at that. Service has always been done with a smile. The guys behind the counter seem like they know how to have fun and are so good about getting food out to folks to keep the wait time short. Very disappointing for a $10 burger. Forget about ordering to temperature, what you will get is overcooked, there is no other way. If you want enough beef, you might as well order the double for $3 more. The fries are also disappointing. For a whopping $5 side you get a good amount but not good quality. These are the fries that are pretty obviously from a bag. They're not exactly crispy, but they only slightly crunch in a strange, over-fried way. (Still soft in the middle). This was our first time in Houston and we heard the POST was a must stop. There are a ton of food options in this one spot.
