Okay, I wasn't really feeling this place. I think my burger was just a little bland however the fries were good. I was excited about eating here because I just love a good burger. The taste just wasn't there for me however someone else might feel different.

Ventured here for lunch while in the Post. This place is in the beginning of the food court. I ordered the burger that comes with some type of sauce & Texas toast instead of a regular bun and I hated it. I should've stuck with a regular burger. The staff there were very nice and helpful when I asked for a regular bun, even bringing it to the table. I would order a regale burger here not any specialities. They are a bit pricey also.

Freakin incredible. More than edible. It is delicious. Amazing Service Clean workspace. Everything a great american burger should be. Just the right amount of grease. It held up nicely. Hot cheesy meaty bites every time. Every bite was like the first bite. I will be back 10/10 Thank you Johnny Good Burger -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

If there is anything Houstonians love, it's a good burger. If there is anything the youngins that parade POST Market on a daily basis love, it's Johnny Good Burger. Out of all the food concepts, I sense that this is the one of most approachable and relatable stalls in the entire hall. As for the food, it's a solid burger and a good option for drunk food post boozing at places like Return to Sender. (#1) Like any burger and fry joint, the menu is extremely simple. The Double Good ($12) is a double patty with American cheese with pickles and their signature sauce over a toasted bun. After throwing in a combo for fries and a drink, it really comes out to be just under $20 for a meal. The burgers have some solid add-ons that include cheese, jalapeños, bacon, grilled onions, and a fried egg. There are also alternatives, such as the Golden Frisco ($12), which is exactly like the Double Good, but with onion jam and Texas toast. The Beyond Swiss ($13) is their plant based option and the Wagyu Hot Dog ($12) is for anyone who's not feeling the burger life. The latter is probably their least appealing option and it's certainly not better than the hot dog joint across the way (#2) I think my favorite option here is the loaded fries ($12), which is really the burgers deconstructed and laid over a bed of fries. The real selling point is their cheese sauce drenched over the burger patty and grilled onions, along with their special sauce. It's a pure gut bomb of a meal, but an intensely satisfying one at that. Service has always been done with a smile. The guys behind the counter seem like they know how to have fun and are so good about getting food out to folks to keep the wait time short. I realize that POST Market has so much variety, but keeping it simple for $20 and less, might by the reason why Johnny Good Burger is an easy destination. ___________ (#1) Return To Sender: https://www.yelp.com/biz/return-to-sender-houston (#2) Yoyo's: https://www.yelp.com/biz/yoyo-s-hot-dogs-post-market-houston

VERY good. 3.5 stars. Ok.. the burger was OK.... But I just had a Yoyo's hotdog right before and was kinda full so that might skew the review. BUT NOT THOSE MF'n FRIES! Those were GREAT. I'm sure the loaded fries were just the ordinary battered loaded fries but it was MUCH better than the loaded fries from that taco place on the other side of POST. I was 100% full and STILL wanted to eat more those fries. Post Yoyo's, it hit. Would I go back? Probably.... But I'm going back for Yoyo's first. Service was great. Very nice staff.

The Post is an interesting place. The food court is like the one in the malls but seems to have more variety and choices. I had The Double Cheeseburger but only one patty. Get two patties if for no reason other than the proportion with the huge bun. It was quite good. The young lady at the counter was very polite and friendly.

I had the Swiss burger and it was phenomenal . The fries were on point . The burger bun was so fluffy and toasted to perfection

This is a spot for a standard American burger and fries. Good quality ingredients except for the fries and the most important part: the beef patty. The burger patty is paper-thin. I opened my burger to see it as it looked kind of charred from the outside. This was such a thin patty, there were actual holes in it through which the bottom bun peeped. Very disappointing for a $10 burger. Forget about ordering to temperature, what you will get is overcooked, there is no other way. If you want enough beef, you might as well order the double for $3 more. The fries are also disappointing. For a whopping $5 side you get a good amount but not good quality. These are the fries that are pretty obviously from a bag. They're not exactly crispy, but they only slightly crunch in a strange, over-fried way. (Still soft in the middle). For an $18 combo after tax and tip, I would not come back. Thought the burger had good flavor, it's not a good value for having almost no meat.

While I was in Houston my friend and I just happened to come across Johnny Good Burger while looking for something to eat at The Post. We were soooooo happy we gave it a chance. Our food came out very quick, fresh and hot. I was surprised there was barely a wait. If you're a burger lover, you'll enjoy any burger from here. Our meal was a pleasant enjoyable surprise. Johnny Good Burger lived up to its name 1,000 % . I am Soflo girlie but if I am ever back Houston I'll pick up one of these burgers again for sure!

My boyfriend and I were both pretty hungry, so he finally decided it was time to try one of the famous burgers at Johnny Good Burger. We had passed by the spot countless times at POST and always thought their burgers looked amazing, so it seemed like the perfect choice for the day. Honestly, I expected him to grab a burger while I found something else nearby since I'm a pescatarian. But as soon as we arrived and I glanced at the menu, I saw they had a vegetarian cheeseburger, and I gasped--loudly. I may have startled a few people, but I couldn't help it! I had no idea they offered a vegetarian option, and I was shocked in the best way. We placed our order, and the food came out surprisingly fast. After hitting the drink station, we found a kiosk and sat down. No more than five minutes later, our food was ready. And let me tell you--the food was incredible. My burger was everything I didn't know I needed. The bun was soft and fresh, and all the flavors in between worked together perfectly. My boyfriend was equally impressed with his order, calling it a "solid burger," which for him is high praise. Overall, we were so happy we finally gave Johnny Good Burger a try. Delicious food, quick service, and a menu that truly surprised me--what more could we ask for?

I didn't have much, but what I did have was enough to make me want to come back! Johnny Good Burger is located in the International Food Hall inside the Houston POST Market. This was our first time in Houston and we heard the POST was a must stop. There are a ton of food options in this one spot. We were not here for a full meal, just browsing the scene and checking everything out. But when I walked by Johnny's and smelled the food, I had to try something! Loaded Fries!!! Simple...but amazing!!! Fries topped with chopped beef patties, grilled onions, and a generous helping of nacho cheese sauce! The meat on this was so good. And essentially it's the same patties they use on the burgers! I wanted MORE!!! Really wish I was able to grab a burger here, after getting a taste of the flavor of the beef patties on these fries. Not sure I will ever be back in Houston, but sure hoping some day Johnny makes his way to California!

Egg on a burger automatically makes it a great burger.

A pretty solid burger place, which is a good staple for a place like The Post. The menu is simple, with a few derivatives and a hot dog available, so there isn't much in the way of options. I'm always appreciative of a burger with egg and bacon. The buns are great, though the patty is on the thin side. I'm not usually one to go for a double meat burger, but I'd probably do that next time. I'm also not usually one for fries, but JB's are some of the best I've had. They are thick cut with delicious seasoning. If you're craving a simple burger and happen to be at the Post, JB will satisfy. But I can't say it's a go-to Houston burger joint considering the many options in the city.

    Cheeseburger yummy

I ordered the loaded fries on a Saturday afternoon. Food was great for the money. Couldn't eat it all at one sitting. Service ok I guess.

The best part of POST Houston for me is the history behind the building. Knowing the history of the…read morespace adds a lot more character and appreciation to the experience than simply looking at it as another food hall or entertainment venue. The building itself has a large, open industrial style interior with plenty of natural light, which gives the space a distinctive feel. There is a lot of room to walk around and explore and since it wasn't particularly busy during our visit, we were able to take our time looking through everything without feeling rushed. There weren't any events happening while we were there, so the overall atmosphere was fairly quiet. I could see the appeal of coming back when there is an event happening, as I imagine the space has a much livelier energy when it's being used for its full range of activities. We primarily went to check out the POST Market, which has a food court style setup with different cuisines and food options. (I'll be reviewing each of the places we tried separately.) The selection was varied, although I wouldn't describe it as particularly extensive. Unfortunately, the food experiences we had were consistently overpriced and underwhelming, which made the overall trip feel fairly uneventful. This was probably one of the more disappointing aspects of the visit. Considering the market wasn't particularly busy when we went, I was surprised by how many tables were sticky or visibly dirty. The washrooms were also in fairly rough shape and could have used more attention. The condition of the common areas was noticeably below what I would have expected from a venue of this size. Parking was convenient and free for the first hour, with charges of $6 applying after that. Overall, POST Houston was a pretty average experience for me. The history and character of the building, along with its open industrial design and natural light, are what stood out most positively. Based on our experience, I wouldn't make a trip back specifically for the POST Market. That said, I'd be interested in coming back for an event to see how different the atmosphere is when the space is busier and there is more happening. Hopefully, more businesses continue to move into the space as well, giving people more options for shopping and dining and creating a livelier overall experience.
