First, I have to mention that I have never been to a Whataburger because I don't eat meat. Friends were in town and wanted to try this famous restaurant. The customer service was beyond abysmal. I heard so much about this place being the In N Out of Texas so I had to give it a try. Now I would not say they are the same especially with the fact the size of the menu here. But what is comparable is the freshness of the ingredients and food was made to order. So there is a bit of a wait in getting your food. The people here were so nice to me, I really appreciated the customer service. More importantly the food is delicious. The drinks are cartoonishly huge, like a super-sized drink from mc donalds back in the day. I came twice and tried two separate meals. First time was the pattymelt with bacon and extra sauce. Unless you like salty food, don't add the bacon, it was too much salt for me. Otherwise delicious carmalized onions, lots of cheese, and a great beef patty. I also got their sweet and spicy burger. This was amazing as well. Great complex and tasty food profile. I recommend trying either one. read more

Make sure to check your order prior to leaving the parking lot. I got an old spicy chicken patty, with the smallest piece of lettuce, pickle and the butt part of the tomato. Additionally I was missing the creamy pepper sauce I was charged 40 cents for. Quite possibly the worse managed whataburger in North America. Whenever you get to the window, they have two vehicles double parked in front of you waiting on their orders so you can't leave after you receive yours. After one left the window worker told me to back up and go around the vehicle in front of me but it's almost impossible when another car is right on your bumper in the line. The night manager has the BEST customer service EVER!!!. I love coming to this location mainly because of him and Lee. This store always stays clean and the whole shift mimic excellence on every visit. You can tell theY are driven by good leadership. Lee and the night manager treat us customers like family. Both intentionally take the time to get to know their regulars and make us feel like we are their only customer at the moment. The night shift manager, manages the crew very well, great at keeping the flow of business and the food is always piping hot and fresh. Lee (jr i believe) has a smile out of this world and has such a wonderful personality. You can walk in this store depressed and by the time you leave, Lee & the night manager will have you sitting on cloud 9 and feeling on top of the world. Both are silent hero's who get's some of us out of our funk without them knowing it. Let's face it, working with the general public can be brutal and not easily done. Worst Whataburger ever. I had to pick someone up at DFW airport by 6:30. Their flight arrived at 6:10 so we figured it would take about 20 minutes to disembark, collect luggage, etc. 5:45 my stomach is growling. I haven't eaten anything all day. I'm nearby and decide a burger sounds good. I have had horrible experiences here at the drivethrough, but surely dine-in is faster, right? Last time I ate at Whataburger it was in a restaurant on i35 by San Marcos, and service was really fast. So I go in. By 5:50 I placed my order. Eric, the cashier, was as disinterested as can be. "What do you want" and not one more word. I pay for my bacon cheeseburger combo and sit down. The tables are filthy and sticky. 6:00 no activity. There are about 6 or 7 guys in the kitchen but no one is doing much. A guy comes from behind the counter and sits down and starts playing with his phone. I notice there are very few cars in the drivethrough and only one other customer inside. Another employee comes inside around 6:05 reeking of pot 6:10, 20 minutes after I placed my order, I get tired of waiting. I need to get going as my friend texted me that he's waiting for his luggage and I don't want to make him wait. I go to the manager and ask him for a refund because I have to get going. He says, "No no, I'll make it for you" and grabs my ticket and goes behind the counter to prepare my burger. THEY HADN'T EVEN STARTED ON MY ORDER YET. When I finally got it I rushed out, bag in hand, around 6:17. On the car, driving to the airport, I grab a fry. It was kind of cold. I open my burger and take a bite. It's barely lukewarm and kind of undercooked in the middle. I give up. I wasted $11 and half an hour of my time. I have no idea how this place stays in business. I wonder if that five star review below was meant for another location, because there's no way this place deserves five stars. I've made the mistake of trying to get food here three times this year - once at the drivethru around 10pm, once trying to pick up an online order around 8pm, and once inside at 9pm, so not even at busy times- and every time it's been extremely slow (at least half an hour). The overall attitude is "Your order is an inconvenience to us". When I got there, 20 minutes after placing the online order, they hadn't even started to prepare it. my burger was dry on the outside and undercooked on the inside. You do get to see the staff enjoy interesting stuff on their phones, which is a lot more engaging than preparing burgers or serving customers. It was supposed to be done at 12:03 at most. It's now 12:37. There is 4 people in the drive thru. No one has gotten their food. Workers are on their phones and playing around in the kitchen. I just observed one taking selfies. Last meal in Texas for what could be a while, so it had to be Whataburger. A Texas institution beloved (mostly) by its inhabitants. As far as the condiment game goes in the world of fast food, nothing can beat the spicy ketchup. Decided to load up the calories for this meal. The mushroom swiss burger I opted with Texas toast. Juicy, well cooked burger patties under melted cheese and sauteed mushrooms. The double Whataburger was as always, true to form. Could've done with a bit more crunch (same with the fries) with the Whatachick'n sandwich, but nonetheless the seasoning was on point, and the chicken itself was moist. I regret not taking a batch of their ketchup with me, but I know the winding road of fate will bring me back one day under the famous Ws. Ronald McDonald ain't got nothing on this. read more

Shout out to our local Whataburger!!! Had people helping me pull wet carpet and we were starving. 4 pm on Sunday. The line was daunting!!! As was my order. 2 Dbl. both special order; 3 Whataburgers; 1 special order. 2 large fries, and AMAZING onion rings, extra crispy. Got home, every special order was cooked to perfection, ample napkins, both spicy & regular ketchup, enough for 6 adults, not like 2 Packets that some places give you! Bonus points!
