I asked if I had to order with the and the gentleman just nodded. He had a terrible attitude towards taking my order and when it was time to take my payment, he just held the reader close to him. I'm supposed to know when I'm ready to pay with no indication? No "hello how are you?" No "thank you have a great day". I understand times are tough but leave your bad day at home when you're getting paid to work a service job. Been in the industry for decades and attitudes are never rewarded, can't forget about the person at the window not greeting or anything until it was just time to hand me my food. We really don't like leaving negative reviews, however I know as a customer I would like to know about disappointing customer service. We have been coming to this location for years. Unfortunately our orders have been incorrect most of the time, we always order a Caniac Combo and more. Many of times we ask to substitute one of the two caniac sauces for a honey mustard sauce and every time they always charge us extra. We also substitute cole slaw for fries, extra crispy. Upon receiving our combo we have continuously noticed its the same amount of fries and majority of time not crispy. This time we dined in and encountered the same problem. When I asked for a manager, Uryless approached the counter and I humbly asked I have been having this issue of getting charged for an extra sauce. Can you please tell me what to say so we dont have this problem again going forward. He only said can I have the sauce back and ill give you the refund, he did not apologize. He made me feel like I was trying to get a free sauce. We always express our appreciation for them working late and being there to provide yummy Canes for our hungry belly's. These are all over the place here in Texas, But in the Bay Area we have none (there was an article they were going to open one in Oakland recently...but we shall see.) Anyway - I always admire the concept of any restaurant that has a hyper limited menu. (In-and-out for example) - but this is even MORE limited. They ONLY offer the following food items in various combinations: -fried chicken fingers -texas toast -crinkle-cut french fries -coleslaw -(I won't list the drinks - but apparently they are famous for their lemonade, we didn't try it) I got the 3 finger combo, which includes: 3 fingers, french fries, sauce, a drink and texas toast (My quibble might be that I would like the toast to be grilled on BOTH sides). The chicken is all "freshly fried" to order. The fries were excellent! There are a few fried chicken finger fast food chains here in TX, I was previously disposed to Slim Chickens due to their delicious potato salad, but Canes may have won me over. Loads of calories, so maybe just the rare treat. read more

Not so sure about their "we only cook to order" bit, when I was in and out of the drive through in probably 30 seconds. But anyway, it was still well packaged and warm. The fingers are remarkably tender and juicy. Whatever they're doing to marinade the chicken is working. I'd rather have a crunchier coating on my fried chicken, but overall the fingers are pretty good. Just a bit too greasy. The crinkly fries are above average. The Cane sauce has a good flavor, I just found I really didn't need it on anything. Texas toast is a nice treat, but it really should be grilled on both sides, Cole slaw provides a refreshing counterpoint to the fried things, but is so creamy it also adds more decadence to the meal. Overall pretty enjoyable for fast food, but so over the top greasy and decadent, could not possibly do more than once or twice a year. read more

I love me some canes. We ordered a 50 piece tailgate with a pan of fries, lemonade and 18 pieces of bread. But - when we got home, there were NO FRIES! So we call and we get two not awesome options: come back and get your fries, or come back and get a refund on your fries. It's a good 15 minutes there. Canes is amazing. Having been in New York the past 2 years, the things I miss about Texas: Guns, BBQ, Tex Mex, and this place: Raising Canes!!!! This place is basically a fast food joint for Fried Chicken Strips. Very very basic menu. I typically get the Box combo which comes with 4 strips, a Cole Slaw, a toast, and a Cane's sauce. Please note that you can substitute the cole slaw for another toast. Not sure if you can substitute the Cane's sauce as well. The Cane's sauce is what everyone raves about. The fried chicken strips are relatively small. Sometimes I hope hope they pick larger strips for me. The Cane's sauce that is used to dip it is a rich, tangy, full flavor sauce, that seems to be made of ketchup, mayo, Worcester sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder (disclaimer these are just my inferences). I always subtitute my cole sale slaw for toast, as I definitely enjoy the toast more than the slaw (although both are good). Apparently the toast is just Holsum BBQ bread with butter and garlic salt, grilled. TRY DIPPING TOAST IN CANE'S SAUCE. I think the biggest flaw for Cane's are their fries. Fries are typically a little on the mushy side, with only a select few fries that are crispy, but then again, fries are not their specialty, and they do really well with the chicken strips and sauce. 3.5 stars for this fastfood joint. read more

When I walked in no one was in line and the cashier was bent over adjusting a knee brace. So I patiently waited until she was finished so I could place my order. I ordered 2 $10 gift cards and a box combo. She asked my name and placed a medium size cup in front of me. I wanted lemonade but there was none in the dispenser behind the cashier. Before I was done filling my self serve drink, my name was called. I told the person my strips looked visibly hard, he said you think they look hard I said yes. Do you want different tenders he asked I said yes. So I continued to make my drink and get ketchup. When I sat down he called my name. The tenders were visibly old. So I sat to eat before I died of starvation. My fries were cold to the touch and strips were hot but old tasting (how did they achieve that). My slaw was good and my toast was perfectly toasted. For my drink, I mixed the Hi-C and orange Fanta! The flavors were not there! So when I finished my coleslaw, toast and what I could salvage from the worn tenders I approached the counter to inform them of my fries and drink. The manager looks me in my face from the kitchen and says order up front. I told the cashier my fries were cold and the Fanta and Hi-C was out. Picked Cane's in Las Colinas to place a to go order today hoping they would be as convenient and on the ball for a larger order as they usually are with a one off order. Went inside since I had several orders (didn't want to clog up the drive thru during lunch time) and they were BUSY. Again, it was lunchtime, so I wasn't put out at all that they were busy inside, but I was surprised. I had no idea this was a place people came into to have lunch. I waited my turn at the counter and started my order, I had 9 meals to order with 9 drinks - sub this- sub that- sub literally everything and add sauces, when I was finished the young lady that took the order read back word for word what I had given her. We are off to a GREAT start. I am told it would take a little while to get my order together (no surprise, I am ready for a wait) The wait was minimal and once I received the order it was perfect. This was my first visit to a Canes chicken place ever. The drive through was super super fast. It's like they already knew what I was going to order! I had the 6 piece chicken strips with slaw and fries which included 2 containers of dipping sauce. I googled their sauce and it's supposed to be the best dipping sauce ever. I ate my chicken fingers with ketchup cause that's my thing. So the sauce did nothing special for me. I still had chicken left over for dinner. The portions of chicken are very generous. Glad I tried this fast food. Was not a bad experience for my first time eating Cain's food. I even googled the story behind this restaurant, it's a rather interesting story. Maybe it was the high expectations, maybe it was the cost, maybe it was because they only offered their "cane's" sauce and I really hated it, but they were way disappointing. First off, it was really expensive for the food I got, I think I ended up spending over $8 for my combo which definitely could have been better spent at a place not fast food. The chicken was very fresh, and tasted pretty good, but it didn't have a lot of flavor to it. It really just tasted like chicken. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the place definitely didn't wow me. The french fries were totally unseasoned and bland, the chicken was just regular chicken. I'm not seeing the big deal? On 4/5/22, my family stopped by Cane's for a fundraiser for my kid's school. My wife put the order in and paid and then immediately let the cashier know that it's for our kid's school's fundraiser. Come during off-hours and you run the risk of receiving food that has been under the heat lamp for a bit. Luckily for me, the stars aligned for my arrival at Cane's on a Sunday morning at 11AM. I ordered the 3 finger combo, and everything was insanely fresh. The chicken fingers were perfectly fried with a light enough batter and tender hot chicken underneath. The fries were also great - not too soggy, but a good balance of crisp and soft. And the Texas Toast should go without saying how it was soft and buttery. Pair all of this with the legendary Cane's sauce and you've got a solid fast food meal. Hopefully I will be lucky enough to come in at the right time for my next visit to relive the deliciousness of this visit :) read more
