I went in to this whataburger today for lunch. Placed my order and waited twenty minutes before going back to the register to find out where my meal was. The manager told me that there were orders before mine and my food would be out shortly. I went back tonmy table and watched for ten more minutes as people that came in after me were served their food. After that i just got my money back and left without eating. No idea how the food is but service could use a tune up. read more

Mostly just feed up with lies. A bit of a back story...I had a bad experience at another location in Orange Park. I was offered a free meal if I dropped my name. I requested to use another store closer to home. I just went in to receive my meal and the manager refused to give it to me. Said my name wouldn't be on any list of book. He wouldn't even check the office. If I was told there was an expiration date I would've just requested either my money back or gift card. They are slowly losing a customer as Whataburger is my top choice for fast food, which they are not fast. So just go ahead and plan it will take forever to get your food and it will nearly always having something wrong with your order. read more

One star for the fries which were nice and crispy and one for the strawberry milkshake which was very good. Acceptable price for flavor though not a 'good' price. However I will never go here again because they got my cheeseburger order wrong even after the read it back to me twice! Other things about the wrong burger? It was cold. COLD. Not warm not lukewarm or room temperature even. After paying $12 for a burger fries and shake I decided not to lose my cool and drive back up there since I would probably just get the same thing all over again. Whataburger has great breakfast food, but this place only employees 2 people on their morning shift. Always a long line in the Drive-Thru and a long wait inside during the morning Rush Hour. Unfortunately because of the long wait I don't stop there as often as I would. Normally I wouldn't write fast food reviews cause these places are usually hit and miss. But when I stopped by this whataburger while in Jacksonville. I was very impressed they took our order quickly, had fresh hot food. The manager really cared about his store and it shows by him taking the time to ask his customers if everything is good and if we needed anything. This one in particular impressed me with their attention to cleanliness. I placed my order and the woman that was at the register took my cash then after the transaction sprayed her gloves and sanitized them before picking up my food from the kitchen pass through/shelf. Another worker was sanitizing the food trays and even the little number marker they give you for your order to be delivered to the table. Everyone was wearing their masks properly. The Mushroom Swiss burger is my favorite but all the burgers are good and plentiful. I love the onion rings as they are the last remaining restaurant that does not use the corn meal batter that makes them too gritty and rough. Whataburger onion rings are perfect. The service is always spot on and friendly. I used to like a competitor known for their 1/3 lb. Mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings until I had a bad experience with the way they handled my food in an unhealthy manor. Honestly, I think the Whataburger is more meat with two patties. read more

The food is good at times but the burgers are too salty most of the time, the employee's leave a little to be desired. For one example, I had went to the Walmart behind this store to pick up a couple things and while in there picked up an ice tea from the McDonald's inside the store. I don't buy food from McDonald's and wasn't really hungry when I went into Walmart, but after shopping I got hungry and decided to stop at Whataburger on the way out of the parking lot. Since I already had a drink I took it inside Whataburger with me and went to the counter to order. I placed my order and they saw my McDonald's cup and told me I couldn't have it in their store. They told me the only way I could have the drink in their store was to pour it into their cup. I declined their cup and told them the cup I had fit better in my drink holder of my truck. They told me I would have to leave and take my business somewhere else. That was a woman manager that treated me that way. I called corporate and told them what happened and no one ever contacted me about what happened. I have been into a few other fast food restaurants, for example Hardee's with a cup of coffee from McDonald's and no one has ever cared or said anything. They were happy to get my business and were not insecure about someone bringing in a drink cup from somewhere else. A second example is a female employee there by the name of Peggy that has been with them for five or six years, she does not have a personality that a front line person should have. She never smiles and never seems happy to be there doing what she is doing. She goes through her job procedures like she should but really lacks the successful retail personality to make a customer happy. There are better locations available than this one. Since corporate didn't seem to care about what goes on in their store and never contacted me I think I will go to some of the locally owned restaurants that tend to give a better personalized service. read more

Went to this location at midnight during the weekend of the Spartan race, Welcome to Rockville, and prom, so it was not surprising that they had a rough weekend. They were completely out of bread, which was fine because I don't eat bread anyway...ordered chicken tenders and fries and waited for 30 minutes. I politely asked for a refund because we had to be on our way home, and the manager was so great. She refunded my card and asked us to please stay, because she would personally get our order ready right away. So we ended up with a free dinner for 2 for our troubles, and she even threw some cookies in the bag and was very professional and apologetic. Great management! I have heard from friends that this place has great food. So I am game for a good burger. First off the place was exceptionally clean, great start. The lady that helped at the register was very helpful, guiding me thru the menu. I think her name was Charlotte. I decided on the Chop House Cheddar burger meal. The burger was awesome. They must cook the burgers on a flat top because it had a nice crust on the burger. The onions were a welcome surprise, due to the fact that they were cooked nice and caramelized. Again a it was a great burger. The fries were average nothing fancy. I also ordered the Whataburger jr. This was a nice treat. The veggies were lettuce, tomato and onions, uncooked this time. Good but very similar to Wendy's jr deluxe. While I was looking over the menu, I asked if their apple pies were baked or fried. Charlotte says fried. Well I better take one of those. This apple pie took me back to my childhood and going to McDonald's and getting an apple pie. I have not had an apple pie from McDonald's since they started baking them. FRIED APPLE PIES ARE THE WAY TO GO. I will definitely be back. I see they have biscuits and gravy for breakfast. I will be back for that for sure. read more

I don't know who in the heck trains these guys but their customer service is constantly out of this world whether you visit at 3a.m or 3p.m. I accidentally forget to say no lettuce loud enough for the guy to hear one night around 2a.m, was bummed out later opening my burger and seeing the lettuce. One of the worker lady walked by and suggested I go tell them so they could be more than happy to fix it. I've never seen people so happy about fixing a messed up burger before. It's like that's what they was waiting for the whole night. In the end, I got to keep the burger but I hate lettuce so ended up giving it to a friend, got a new one in 2 minutes afterwards, and a free apple pie. Best customer I've ever had EVERYTIME. read more
