It was the second time we've eaten at Culver's but first time at this location. It is well maintained outside as well inside, with plenty of seating all around. We had a large party of 10 and we found a nice corner booth that could everyone. For our meals, I got the Culver's Bacon Deluxe Value Basket, my husband got the sourdough melt sandwich, Wisconsin cheese curds, butterfly jumbo shrimp, and then we got the chicken tenders from the kid's menu for our kiddos. The biggest surprise was that a bonus menu item for the kids meal is their 1 scoop of custard, with a choice of either chocolate, vanilla, or Flavor the the Day. The food was delivered to our table, which came out nice and fresh. The Culver's Bacon Deluxe was absolutely delicious. Well portioned with the amount of bread to meat ratio, esp with the veggies. Stopped in today for lunch with my family. We ended up making two orders: one for burgers and fries and another one later for dessert. The place was busy bc we stopped right at noon. The line to order moved quickly and we were able to find a seat by moving a couple of tables together despite the dining area being crowded. They have both tables and booths, I would recommend a table or booth out of the way bc we got one in a walkway and were constantly ducking passing servers and patrons. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, two build your own cheeseburgers and a chicken sandwich. Most came with fries but I got onion rings. Our order came out promptly and was delivered to the table by our employee. All of the food was well prepared and I was surprised how soft my bun for my burger was and how much crispy bacon you got for a fast food burger. All in all a pretty good burger. After finishing our meals, we opted to order custard to go for dessert. The employee that took our order was new and struggled with the register so our stay and payment were more complicated than they needed to be. My daughter got a vanilla waffle cone (for ice cream you only have three choices: vanilla, chocolate, and flavor of the day), my sons and I got milkshakes and my wife got a butterfinger concrete. My chocolate shake was super thick and I had to let it melt and drink it once I got home bc I was driving and could not use a spoon. My sons said their shakes were thick also. My husband and I both had burger baskets (his was double and mine was single) and while the cheese curds were hot (but very salty) and the everything bun was good, the burgers were not hot at all (barely warmer than room temperature). We were warmly greeted by a young man at the door. He then took our order. It seems like the front end manager or manager is a very young guy but he is super congenial, polite and considerate plus super proactive. He is genuinely considerate and thoughtful of the staff he is working with them in how h speaks to them. When we arrived I went to use the ladies room and it reeked badly of urine. There was an employee using the bathroom and she went right back up to the counter and did not report the smell-shocked. I went to the manager and he was really great and receptive to the feedback. Been really wanting to try Culver's out for awhile so one night while still at work I placed an order online, since they didn't have delivery. Meh, if it's worth the drive I'll gladly do it. I scheduled it for 7pm and I ordered a Deluxe Value Basket with grilled onions added on to my Deluxe burger (Butterburger with Wisconsin cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, mayo), fries and a drink. He got a Grilled Rueben Melt (lean corned beef, Wisconsin Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing), with fries and a drink too. When I pulled into the designated parking spot at 7:12 (I didn't figure in how long it would take for me to get over there) I pressed the button in the email stating that I was here and waited maybe 5 mins before a staff member came out and handed my order to me. Really wasn't expecting that since the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building. I went on home. The food held up all the way there and was still warm when I unwrapped it. Presentation was not there but it lacked here was made up in taste. This is one of the more enjoyable fast food burgers I've ever had and I like their bigger-than-normal krinkle-cut fries. He enjoyed his sandwich and reheated his fries in the microwave because he ate later than I did and they got cold. They weren't crispy as before but they were soft and still just as good. For the customer service experience I'm giving them a five, food giving them a four because I don't believe their fries are that great. That being said, when I pulled up to the drive thru I had the cheeriest girl on the intercom, she was kind, patient, asked questions, and was calm, cool, and collected. I opted to get their sourdough melt, fries, and drink, got my hubby a double butter burger, and my kiddo an ice cream (don't judge, he ate dinner). After I pulled up to the window, I noticed that staff was wearing masks, which was comforting to see, and even the cashier was wearing gloves. I have yet to order at a Culvers where your order is done immediately after you pay, so while it's fast food, you will have to wait. They put a number on my mirror and I pulled up into a designated spot. About three to four minutes later, I received my food and was on my way. When I got home, I dug into my sourdough melt. Culver's was my fast food restaurant of choice when I lived in the Midwest. For years I'd hoped that I'd again live in a city that had a Culver's but I had no such luck in New England and on the West Coast. So I've been settling for Culver's during my travels. Recently, however, franchises have been popping up all around this area and one finally opened close to where I live. We went here the first time the day after they opened so we were not surprised to see a long line of people. Unfortunately, the dining room was closed so everyone was in the drive-thru lines. They moved relatively quickly that time but on subsequent visits, my experience with the efficiency has varied. I stick to the butterburgers on this menu but others in my family have tried the chicken sandwich and sourdough melt, both of which they enjoyed. The burgers that I've had here have been good, with the exception of a soggy bun on one visit. The fries are fresh, the cheese curds are delicious and have both white and yellow cheese, and the custard is as good as I remember. What I appreciate about Culver's is that they make the food fresh but that sometimes leads to the drink that they hand you at the window getting watered down or the custard melting while waiting for the food. But, overall, the process works reasonably well. I've been to this location almost every week since they opened and I imagine that I'll continue to be a regular customer. We waited over 15 minutes to get our food we had number 17 and there were numbers 13,14,15, 16 still waiting for their order and no telling how many people were waiting behind us. Food and experience use to be top notch at this place. Last few times we've been the foods quality has slowly fallen off and the service has taken a nose dive. They had some type of sauce on there it liked like mayo but it didn't taste like it. So let me know is Culver's had their own sauce. I got the meal with that chicken sandwich. The meal is the sandwich, fries and a drink. You can pick the drinks your selves they don't have that many options but still they are good soda brands. After that I got a custard, chocolate and vanilla, it was amazing. I couldn't stop eating it. The service was great. They got your food really quick. I ordered the fish dinner. It should be called the fish STICK dinner because that's what it was, basically. The fish was two previously frozen, candy bar-sized breaded fish sticks that took 10 minutes to get to me. Obviously, they're frozen and dropped into hot oil upon order. They tasted fine but for a $15 total bill, the portion is too small. The fries and coleslaw were OK. The fish dinner is not worth the price, IMHO. read more
