There were plenty of tables and they were spread out so it never felt crowded. I had a single burger and one of my friends had fish & chips. He said he really liked the fish and there was plenty of it. My burger tasted good but the super thin patty was well done. I don't necessarily like a whole lot of meat but that thin patty just didn't do it for me. I'll try it again but next time I'll get a double. read more

I've visited this location a few times since the summer. During the day around lunch time I think the service is best. Later in the evening, the employees don't seem to care about service or quality and simply wanted to mess around and talk to each other. Customers seem to be more of a bother. Burgers are sloppily put together in the evening as well. I had tried a few other Culver's locations in Jacksonville as well as other states and usually enjoy the burgers. My son is a huge Culver's fan and loves their burgers, they probably rate in his top 3 burger restaurants. I like that the burgers tend to be a little crisp around the edges and have plenty of flavor. The buns are tasty and I love adding the grilled onions. The fries are fine, the cheese curds are ok and the onion rings are ok, nothing special, but what I tend to order. I really like the root beer and is what I prefer to drink at Culver's. The restaurant tends to be kept clean and like I said service seems to depend on the time of day. Overall it's a good burger restaurant and we will keep visiting when we are in Jacksonville. read more

We went to Culver's for lunch and ordered the Cod Fish Sandwich. This is my wife's favorite. It was the first time I've ordered this at Culver's. Yes it was very good and cooked just right. One thing I did notice is that it wasn't greasy at all. It had great flavor! We also ordered the ice cream of the day which was Turtle Cheese Cake. It was delicious! Food at this location is good. The fries were a bit burnt, I was missing one item and another item came out wrong. We asked for a plain burger, however it had cheese. I sent it back and after 15 mins or so the item arrived to perfection, with the item that was missing as well. Definitely service needs improvement. Heard about and passed Culver's so many times, today was the day I stopped by. The Butterburger is thick n juicy. Picked my toppings. Seasoned right, not too overwhelming, not too bland. Right in the middle to make it delightful. Definitely juicy in every bite. The french fries are hot, fresh n crispy. The Buffalo Chicken Tenders are good . Inside is juicy, outside crunchy. I'm not big on fast food. Not that I don't like it, but I just try to eat healthier when I can. That being said, I will come out of retirement for something that might be worth it. Culver's cod sandwich is highly reviewed as being very good, so I took a chance and lost big. We all know that in America, you can't possibly expect the food that you receive to look like the ad but even this was pretty bad. The fillet was half the size of the bun and had more in common with a fish stick than a fish fillet. The worst part was that it was dry and chewy. There is no way it was freshly prepared. Maybe that only applies to their burgers. Needless to say, I'm going back into fast food retirement for a while. I'm very disappointed I wasted my hall pass on this. Well, that was a first. Ordered and asked for mashed potatoes for my side. Had a discussion about which gravy and was first time here. Brought out french fries and gravy. Advised I ordered mashed. I offered that they could take the fries back. I wasn't trying to get more food. They said they couldn't bc they already brought it out and would check on mashed. This is a bit tricky for me - as a native Wisconsinite (where Culvers originated), I love the place. I love the butterburger deluxe, and me and my father In law (and my gf) love the fried cod. They used to have a very very tight franchise arrangement. But this location? When I've gone inside to get my order, i see employees just standing around. Trash on the floor. Good spot for a restaurant being right across from Costco. After hiking through that maze you need someplace to grab a bite. I won't say their burgers are the best, but they are served hot and fresh, and their fries are always nice and crunchy too. I opted for the bacon burger. One thin slice of beef with a couple small pieces of bacon, served with lettuce, tomato, and red onion (which I removed as it was incredibly hot). Dining room is always clean, and they are very fastidious about keeping it that way. Always someone out on the floor checking on folks and cleaning up tables. Staff is always friendly and helpful. My first time at Culver's and this 5 star is for Miss Jill! She is the definition of southern hospitality and charm that we normally don't experience in JAX. The moment we came in she greeted us and helped with recommendations. She delivered our food and checked in on us, they forgot my fixings on my Alaskan cod and she offered to have it remade. It wasn't a big deal because she was so sweet I just asked for it on the side. The Alaska cod came out piping hot, the battered shrimp was great for a fast food joint and the chili was definitely better than Wendy's! I was not a fan of the fries it was a bit cold and hard and the Ice was out but because of Miss Jill minor things can be overlooked. The ice cream was also delicious. Jacksonville get it's very first Culver's, one of Wisconsin's pride. They officially opened on Monday (1.11.2021). Prior to the opening, the closest Culver's was in Middleburg, FL, so this new location makes for an easier drive. Culver's are known for their Butter Burgers, Cheese Curds and their Frozen Custard (made fresh throughout the day). And aside from this, they also have many Sandwiches, Soups, Salads, Fish and Shrimp Baskets, Shakes, Malts, and many others to choose from. I want to give some Kudos to the Culver's staff and management. It was busy like a madafaka but they all jelled together as if they have been working together for months. Was in a pinch for lunch as my baby had fallen asleep in the car while I ran some errands and if you know anything about babies, you do not wake them up from their nap. My only available choice with a drive thru was Culver's and it was just opening so the wait for my food was minimal. While I am more of a 5 guys fan myself I did enjoy their burger and was happy to have their delicious cheese curds. If ever in the area again, I won't hesitate to stop for a quick bite. The problem was with the butterburgers, These were the thinnest pieces of meat I have ever seen. one of them appeared to have a large bite taken out of the meat then placed on the bun and the other one had a hole in the middle of the meat. Anyone complaining about service must have went on a day that Debra was not working. I have never had such amazing service from any server I've ever had! I've been to 5 star restaurants that didn't have as good a server as Debra, and this is a fast food place that, at least in my mind, didn't even need to serve you after you left the counter with your food.
