This place is amazing. It is very clean and organized. I was waiting in line and the manager Michael saw that I was waiting for awhile due to a lengthy older and offered a beverage cup while I waited. That attention is a luxury these days and I wanted to make a note of that. The cashier would go from table and ask if anyone needed anything and we got into a discussion of how good the tempura green beans are. This is a hidden gem she gets everyday and I agree. It is lightly breaded, crunchy, and pairs excellent with ranch. Now I couldn't wait to rave about the burgers. Hands down the best "fast food". The burgers came out medium and perfect. I got the double and char burger with lettuce tomato, onion, bacon, cheese, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. The burgers came was juicy and reminded me of home cooked burger. Each bite the taste was of a cornucopia of flavors blending together of perfect harmony. I just can't give justice to these burgers you have to try for yourself. I stopped into Habit Burger and Grill for the first time and now I'm a fan. The restaurant was open and airy with an industrial feel while also offering and inviting atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly and my food was ready In about 5-7 minutes. After ordering I was handed a beeper. Once it went off I went back to the counter and picked up my food. I ordered the charburger with cheese and sweet potato fries with a fountain Pepsi. I was excited to see they sold Pepsi products;) I found a booth in the front of the restaurant facing Beach Boulevard. The table was positioned close to the seats which we liked. And the seats were cushy and comfortable. Half the burger was covered in paper so your hands don't get messy while eating. Nice! The sandwich included a chargrilled beef patty, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and caramelized onions. I love onions but caramelized onions took it to another level. And it was topped with mayo on a toasted bun. The burger was fresh and juicy and there were plenty of fixins. The sweet potato fries were hot and yummy. But my friends tempura green beans stole the side order show. They were lightly breaded and fried and served with a side of ranch for dipping. I couldn't get enough of them! Lunchtime again so I wanted to check out a new place. I ordered the Charburger Meal with a Charburger with White American cheese, ketchup and mustard, regular fries, and to my surprise, a Cucumber Limeade. At a fast food place? OK! It smelled really good when it was delivered but when I unwrapped it the burger was smashed, like the buns were squished together. It only took away from how it looked because the taste was just like a regular burger. The fries were pretty good as well but that limeade sealed the deal for me. Kudos to the restaurant for making the son feel comfortable, which not every restaurant does for kids with special needs. Ordering is by kiosk, which was pretty solid. You can choose the type of burger, bun and condiments, which there were a lot of options. The dining room was clean and service was quick. But other than that, you want to hear about the food, don't you? Fries - very thin, nothing special. Drinks - really cool drink options at tge drink center. The Bun - light and fluffy, and they have gluten free options. Burger - good , but to me nothing special. The patty was thin, but not smashed. It wasn't bad, it just was not that special. I couldn't have been happier when I learned that Habit Burger & Grill had found its way to JAX! It was a favorite of mine when I lived in San Diego and have to say it's great to have a reminder of my former home when it comes to restaurants! It's been here at this location on Beach Blvd for around three months now and, though new, the crew looked pretty up to speed and well-trained. I was impressed with the service I received. I asked a lot about what seemed to be missing from the larger menu offerings I was used to in San Diego. I especially was looking forward to their coffee shake again, but is not available here in JAX. It was an indicator as she told me the menu is limited here compared to what I was used to but will get expanded over the next few months (if I understood correctly). Nevertheless, what this Habit B&G offers is delicious and it was great to enjoy some favorites from the past once again! I will add, I was very impressed with the service and courtesy of the counter personnel! Keep it up! Do note that there are two kiosks available too, and looking carefully at them, appear very easy to use. The meal for the evening included the teriyaki char burger, the Santa Barbara burger, no salt fries, tempura green beans, along with the peppermint bark milk shake and a vanilla milk shake. All this came under $30 which was nice to see. The Santa Barbara was a fave of mine with its Cali-style focus. It comes with two burgers on large thick bread with avocado, lettuce, mayo, pickles, among other items that's delicious over and over again! It's a little pricey because of its size but it lasted into the second day as we took what was left home. The teriyaki char burger was also one the faves I've enjoyed from Habit. I love burgers with grilled pineapple and this one's got it! It blends in so well with the grilled onions, lettuce, mayo, pickles, among other items. Our fries were fresh and hot. I always get no salt fries to keep those levels down! But the fries at Habit are always good. Also, make sure you try the green beans tempura with the ranch dressing sauce! They are fantastic! Habit B&G is noted for making great shakes. They didn't disappoint this evening! I actually ordered the peppermint bark milk shake, which was, and remains for now, a Holiday offering. It was awesome! It did contain candy cane and dark chocolate pieces - so good I wish it was offered all year! But I do respectfully request this Habit to bring the coffee shake to us for order! Finally, the store set up includes regular table seating and chairs, which are wooden. There is a larger table of elevated seating in the front center, which is where I like to sit, as we did this evening. Spacing is good. Our first time here - it's cool that they make everything to order. We placed our mobile order and it took about 15 minutes to get our food (we placed the order on our way, so we only had to wait about 2 minutes once we arrived). It was a lot of food for the money - I would definitely choose Habit over. McDs or other chains. That said, the burger was good, but not fantastic - I'd say Shake Shack burgers have more flavor and are way juicier. The fries were cold by the time we got home 20 minutes later which was a bummer. The star of the show was the chicken bites - super crispy and really nice flavor. The spicy ranch was awesome too! We may be back if they run a promo or something, not sure if we'd make the 20 drive again. The staff was friendly and well informed, so they were able to make yummy suggestions to a vegetarian in a burger restaurant! I absolutely love The Habit Grill. I used to go all the time when I lived in Los Angeles, and it quickly became one of my go-to spots for a great meal. I was kind of disappointing, but it is what it is, and I'm not one to go back after I get home. Overall the price was good, for all the food we got. I had the char burger with cheese and onion rings. The burger was a gray hockey puck with no charbroiled taste. The onion rings were covered in salt. The burger was saturated with mayo with made the tomatoes and lettuce drip off the burger. There needs to be quality control checks on the food and how it is prepared. Very disappointing. The King has not been dethroned and that's a low bar to achieve and Habit needs work to get there. read more

I stopped in for a basic meal consisting of a hamburger, fries, and a drink, and it rang up nearly $13, which is far too much for what you get. The fries were terrible, and the burger was just okay. Nothing special and definitely not worth the price. Another big downside is that there is no drive-through. You have to park, go inside, order, wait, and then bring your food back to your car if you are taking it to go. That entire process, from leaving my car to ordering, receiving the food, and returning to my car, took about 20 minutes. That is not fast casual. That is sluggish. For comparison, if you are in the area and want a better meal for less money with a drive-through, go to Culver's instead. There you can get a butter burger, fries, and a drink for around $3 less, with far superior food quality and the convenience of a drive-through. If you want to save money, eat better, and get out faster, Habit is not the place. Avoid it and choose somewhere else. read more

Recently visited this location on 11/2 and if was a great experience . Ordering food was easy as you can do it at the self serve kiosk or at the counter . The burger options are simple and you can customize in any way you like . The counter server came assisted my nephew and i at the kiosk and was very helpful. I ordered a very large amount of food and it was ready in less than 8 minutes . The building was clean and well kept. With only one register and 1 order screen, the wait to give my order was almost 10 minutes, partially because the customers in front of me read the menu boards at the register instead of while they were waiting in line to give their order and partially because the person at the register was apparently not familiar with the menu and the register. It took me less than 15 seconds to tell him I wanted a charburger with mayo only and an order of fries; it took him nearly 3 minutes to enter my order into the system and hand me the call buzzer. Between 10 and 15 minutes later, my order arrived. The burger was charbroiled, nearly to a crisp, and was about 1/8" thick, served on an equally flat and unappetizing bun. I had read about the opening in the local paper and figured I'd give it a try. Nine dollars later, I can honestly say I will not be making a habit of going to Habit Burger.
