It took more than five minutes for our order to arrive at 11pm at this location but we didn't complain once. Why? Because the service wasnt slow they were cooking our burgers! When we got them they arrive as we ordered them, hot and our fries werent cold. What more could you ask for from a low grade fast food, burger joint? Dont get me wrong Whataburger is no Five Guys or Twisted Root (for those of you down from Dallas), but why anyone would ever go to McDonald's or Burger King rather than here makes me wonder. When comparing the two Whataburger is much better but this is only fast food we are talking about. Nothing more and if its late and most places are closed at 11pm you're pallet would appreciate a trip to Whataburger than the others. If other places were open we wouldn't be here. I've been to this whataburger for about a year, the service is relatively the same. However, the food itself is mediocre at god's will, let me explain. Over the last few times my order has either been wrong, cold, or disgusting. Every time I order a coke, it always tastes like if there's soap or some chemical that isn't part of Coca-Cola. I'd give it a 1.5 if I could on the basis that the fries are delicious when they're not cold and the new drive thru system which is way more efficient, though they could retouch some details such as the person behind me receiving their food first and having to wait on me since they're trapped inside the line and I haven't gotten my food. TL;DR- Coke tastes like soap, food servers are ok, the food is a slot machine with a 15% chance of your food having some sort of issue. read more

I had stop going to Whataburger because the last time I had went my fries were cold ( I don't know about y'all but cold fries aren't great.) and my burger which was #1 with cheese was soggy. I took one bite and throw it away. So stop coming. I decide it's been awhile and I really wanted Whataburger, I give it another chance yesterday. Once again fries were cold. I gave them to dogs. This Whataburger location is extremely convenient for me, and therefore I have given it many attempts at proper service, and operation. My last four visits have been spot on, with accuracy, and friendliness of the crew. The food is prepared fresh, hot, and to order specifications. I believe that the management team has taken notice of the ratings, and negative comments, and are making an effort to correct their deficiencies. The drive-thru continues to be a little slower than other locations, in the area, but it is improving. As a life long fan of the company, I will continue to patronize the company, at all locations, and just hope for continued improvement, where necessary. read more

I hope they get the phone records between 12:22am-12:40am Sunday morning for this location. I still have the tangible evidence to back up my times and my experience as I saved my receipt. Maria doesn't know how to ring up the Get a Free Whataburger with a purchase of a Medium fries & Medium drink. She will hit one button and print a receipt and NOT ask, "What would you like on your burger?" I looked at her. Paying separate orders as I was told to do and I had to tell her, "Aren't you going to ask me what I want on my burger?" She responded by saying, "What do you mean? The number one." She's looking totally confused. She looked out of it. No cups given. She immediately brought in her, orange, clear apron "manager" to talk to me and she asked me what was going on. I thought the managers wore white or brown. Maria laughed at one point to where my girlfriend saw and I decided not to buy from them with that snarky attitude. I spoke to the real manger, Marc, and he did all he could to get my (2) nephews and my girlfriend's orders completed, but I was starving. I left without anything just waiting to be asked, "is there was something that I could get for you?" At that moment, I didn't trust anybody else to help us out. I called @ 12:22am to get verification on the names of the employees because the entire restaurant looked like chickens running with their heads cut off due to the fact that all their customers' orders inside the restaurant, where wrong. The staff was visibly stressing about how Maria was ringing the orders incorrectly. I know this because one of the employees wearing glasses had muttered it loudly as he passed her. Trays were being slammed. Cups falling to the floor as people placed their orders from her. IT GOT WORSE! BELIEVE IT OR NOT! I called the restaurant and a man named Juan M. picked up and refused to give me the name of the employees from about 30 mins earlier. He lied about the manager's name because JUAN M. claimed there wasn't a manager whose named started with the letter 'M!' I was referring to Marc. Turns out JUAN M. is a WHATABURGER MANGER WHO HANGS UP ON CUSTOMERS WHO NEED TO VERIFY INFO THAT IS GOING TO BE FORWARDED TO CORPORATE. All this was on speaker so I wasn't the only person in my car to hear the lengthy call. Marc told me she was "young." She was still in training. He kept on asking us what he could do to make things better for us. But I couldn't believe that WHATABURGER EMPLOYS MANAGERS like JUAN M. that PURPOSELY HANG UP ON THEIR CUSTOMERS. what can you say about Whataburger? It's comfort food to me. Nothing else tastes like a Whataburger ! Besides the bacon cheeseburger, I would say the chicken biscuit is my next favorite. and the cherry pie and the lemon pie. I wish they were a little faster at this particular location, but you can't blame them too much as we don't have a lot of options in Kyle. I usually stop at this location in route back to home and it used to be that service was fast and I could be in and out, but these last few visits I've noticed that they must be under new management or something because they are consistently under-staffed and the drive thru takes forever. Ordering just a medium drink took around 30 minutes (no joke). Meanwhile I'm watching slews of employees leaving and none coming in -- whoever is running this location needs to seriously re-examine their traffic and schedule accordingly. This is the only Whataburger in the area and one of few restaurants open after 9-10pm so you should be scheduling accordingly. read more

For fast food style burgers, I place my trust in Dan's, Short Stop, and of course Whataburger. I find that a really great way to break the ice with strangers is to ask everyone to do Whataburger guy impressions. It's pretty hilarious. Sadly, I recently found out that Whataburger didn't renew that guy's contract. What?! He was a Southwestern staple (in my heart)... :( Anyways, this is my burger/chicken joint in Kyle. Every burger, aside from the Chop House, from Whataburger is ace! So greasy and fulfilling... I just think the Chop House is kind of gross. That's just my opinion though. Get chicken stuff from here too. It's so flavorful and blindingly white. The line moves slow because they make your burger when you order it. Once again the Whataburger in Kyle seems to have changed their morning staff. It is lacking proper service training. I have gone twice in the last 4 days and have been ignored by the same morning personnel. When I drive up my order is quickly taken, but when I arrive at the window, I get ignored. You see them moving around cleaning, which is part of their duties. You also see them standing talking, which is not part of the duties. I am a creature of habit, in that I always get the same thing. The #5, bacon cheeseburger, no onions. So last Friday placed my order and got a burger with onions and no bacon, but at least the burger was tasty. Today I got a burger with onions and no cheese, but today's burger was dry and the meat was tough and overcooked. The fries bland and unsalted. I can't believe that both times I waited 15 minutes for a poor burger. Both times I waited almost 10 minutes before the window person collected my money without so much as a good morning or a thank you. On Friday after paying, I was asked to move to the next window, which was strange since I was the only car there. Today once again it was 10 minutes before being acknowledged. So I guess it's time to go across the street to McDonald's, at least there I know what to expect food wise. But quicker and less expensive. read more

Best service ever. Young adults ran the driveway like champs. A girl took my order never repeated it and had a family of four applied perfectly in the register. Then the next young girl asked us to pull to the side where our food was delivered vered with napkind and just the right amount of ketchup. We are a car if special requests. I've never had a perfect order and am totally impressed with how these young adults - all I saw were females ran this Whataburger. If closer to me I would scout my next employee at this Whataburger. F-A-S-T and friendly service. I just read all the revews for this Whataburger and have never experienced the drive-thru delays mentioned and we go there at least 3 times a week. This place is always crowded at breakfast and lunch because it is a well above average Whataburger in my opinion. I have seen 20 cars at the drive up at lunch and they get folks' orders fast and give you your food quickly. I have never received an incorrect order and always am greeted with a smile by whoever waits on me (unlike several Whataburger's in Austin who routinely screw up my order and greet me with a caveman (or cavewoman) UGH instead of hello. read more

We were told the call in orders were backing them up, but they need to fix this issue so the drive thru isn't wrapped around the building and you don't get your food finally and it's cold. If I could give a lower star, I would... first it took 30 mins for an app order...our order was wrong... ya ok. Called talked to the manager (she was super sweet, understanding, and apologetic) and she said she would have it fixed because my kid is super picky. Came up there and she said she would get the order taken care of. I'm waiting to where I can see the whole kitchen. I notice that one of the employees literally had cavicide wipes on his station, he pulled a wipe out and wiped the burger including the surface area.... ON THE BURGER... I asked the cashier what those wipes were and couldn't understand what she said... the order still wasn't ready and the manager walked by again, I asked her what those wipes were, and she told me. I told her those were totally unacceptable to have a the food station and extremely toxic. I was very nice to her and the employees removed them. These burgers were for my kids... it makes me sick to think that some one got a burger that had those chemicals on it due to an uneducated and lazy employee. I went in today and after eating my meal of course and using the restroom to wash my greasy hands. I noticed they obviously have a bug infestation problem. My fries were barely warm and the burger was the same. I waited for a good 10minutes for my food to not be fresh. Interesting how that works. As I was filing up my tea I heard crickets in the back in the kitchen area directly behind the fountain drinks. I didn't think much of it until I stumbled across several other issues. I just assumed they were outside. Like I stated. When I went to the bathroom after my meal I saw a dead cricket on the floor. Alive beetles crawling on the ground as well as several dead ones next to the trash can. The bathroom had toilet paper all on the stall floor and also dead bugs on their window seal. I didn't even utilize the bathroom facility after seeing all this. This will be the last time I eat here and when I asked for my money back. The manager Tracy never even apologized for the situation. So I was driving late at night to San Antonio for the weekend, needed to make a stop for food, I walk inside, use the restroom, it was dirty and disgusting. Ordered my food and made a mention of this to the counter person. She goes to tell the manager "Donald Saathoff" who is in the middle of doing the employee of the night thing and recognizing them, spends about 5-10 minutes talking to his employees while people are waiting on food in the restaurant at like 10:30 at night and trying to leave. "Yulissa" who was the cashier? that's the name on my receipt, walked around the counter to empty trash bins, then without washing her hands or anything walks back around and tries to hand my food to me. Absolutely disgusting! I won't eat here again. Waited on my food for about 20 minutes cause they were too busy and then having someone handling trash without washing hands touching food. read more

This Nana and Papa had our precious 4 year old granddaughter staying with us. She asked for pancakes for dinner...not breakfast, so like most grandparents we aimed to please. McDonalds doesn't serve pancakes in the evening, so we tried Whataburger. We were greeted at the door by the manager and we asked him if they served pancakes at this hour. He said not until 11 pm. Seeing our disappointment and informing him of our granddaughter's request, he told us to come on in and they would specially make pancakes for her. Do you know any other fast food places that would do this? All of the staff were very friendly and the place was clean. My favorite quick burger to buy is the Whataburger Jr.. Most smaller burgers have nothing but ketchup and pickles, but not Whataburgers. It tastes just like the bigger burger but less calories. read more

I am not going to totally slam this place because they just opened their doors 2 weeks ago. I went to this place 2 days ago to get breakfast. The line at the drive through was 6 cars deep, which is totally understandable with the breakfast rush. I finally get to the window and the line is backed up so much that I have to yell my order at the speaker box. I finally get to the window and the guy takes my money, but has to ask again what kind of drink I was drinking. The food was taking too long, they made me pull up to the 3rd drive through window to wait. Meanwhile, the guy behind me go his food in this monster pickup truck and I was blocking his way out. I was handed my food almost 25 minutes after I had gotten in line. The tater tots were hot, as was my biscuit; but, they had given me the wrong order. I had ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and I got a sausage one. It was not a total loss because I do like sausage and the food was fresh. I spoke to a few people that have gone to that Whataburger, they all agree that the drive through line takes entirely too long. If you have to go to this place, skip the drive through and go inside. You would have thought that your drink would be ready for you at the window. If you have a breakfast rush, you would also think that they would have everything ready to go to put your breakfast sandwich together to get you through the drive through lane.
