I used the drive thru again and had a positive experience. They have two lanes for the drive thru so the outside lane gets personal service for payment. I was using a coupon for a free Whataburger and it didn't throw her at all. I requested no onions and extra lettuce and tomatoes on my burger. They nailed the onion and lettuce request, but either the normal tomato amount is poor, or I didn't get extra. That said, the burger was hot and tasted great. I will not be going to this location ever again after they served my wife raw chicken on her Buffalo Chicken Sandwich on top of giving us watered down drinks, no cheese on my cheeseburger, and an overflowing chocolate shake. This location hasn't always been the greatest but this is just unacceptable. You're better off going to one of the other many burger places or driving to the Cedar Park location. read more

Disclaimer: I FREAKIN' LOVE WHATABURGER! Now that that's out of the way and we're all on the same page, on to the main course, the review. This location has come a long way since it opened. They get orders out in a timely fashion now and orders even come out right! They are morphing into the well-oiled machine that the Cedar Park location currently is and it just delights me because... I FREAKIN' LOVE WHATABURGER! Did I mention that already? This location is also close to Chateau Simmons so it's super convenient to pop in on Saturdays for lunch while out on my weekend adventures... erm... errands I mean. I really dig their Whataburgers with cheese, some extra onions, and hold the pickles. You are of course free to order you burger any way you like, but mine is pure heaven on earth. The fries are quite awesome too and I love that the drink dispensers are out on the restaurant floor and available for immediate and frequent refills. And yumm yumm yumm that Whatachicken! OK, right up front: I'm not one of Whataburger's 'true fans' as I've had very variable experiences when it comes to food quality at this chain. However, I have to give credit when I come across a well-run outlet, and this is one of the best. It's brand new at barely a fortnight old as of July 2021, but they're still hard at work shaking out their opening-week kinks. My favorite item on the Whataburger menu hands-down is their Patty Melt. For the young'uns out there, the patty melt was invented in California circa the late 1940's. Traditionally, it's a hamburger patty on grilled rye bread, topped with onions and melted cheese (often Swiss). Whataburger swaps out the rye for a griddle-browned set of Texas Toast, a couple melty slices of Monterey Jack, and a dash of creamy pepper sauce. And you know what? It works! My order came out promptly, and both the entrée and the fries were piping hot. Service is still learning its trade (cashier still learning all the buttons, for example) and the staff is kept busy keeping things clean. Two thumbs up, and here's hoping that they're able to keep up these standards long term. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. It's great to finally have a Whataburger locally but there is some room for improvement that I believe is mostly from staffing shortages. Because of staffing shortages, you will always wait a long time here. If you're okay with having to wait a longer time then it is worth the visit still. The location is modern and well decorated. It's still Whataburger but it is one of the nicer locations. Finally, the food is consistently what you'd expect to receive at Whataburger. read more

Ok, ok I know it's fast food...but it's still a product that costs money ($30!!) and should be served as promised. My order that an 30ish old adult MGR handed me was: 1) missing onion rings. 2) had an expired salad 3) the bun on my special of the month burger was like a rock and stale 4) I 'bout chipped a tooth on beef grizzle 5) the grilled chicken sandwich looked like it had been on a sit N spin before being wrapped. So I called. Got a different mgr OTP who DID: Apologize Offer to make it right that night or the next day Gave her name Did not offer a money refund. Excited to finally have a Whataburger here in Leander! Apparently the whole city shares my excitement because this place was PACKED last night. The double drive thru line was down the block, and there wasn't a parking spot to be had. I waited in the drive-thru line for 30+ minutes which hopefully isn't the norm, but I understand they just opened and have some kinks to work out. I usually will order from favor or Uber eats for lunch/dinner and never any issues, will occasionally stop on my way home, they are much faster and get my order right compared to other locations. However, I got breakfast from there the other day and something didn't taste right. So I found a few grey spots in the egg, which I know can happen when cooking super high temperatures and being heated (cause fast food) but...there was an entire rubbery gray coating on the entire bottom half of the egg which was really gross! read more

Cedar Park, TX on Bell BLVD (183) The employee at the drive thru window was rude, I was the only vehicle at the drive thru, and he told me to pull up to the end of the driveway, when I questioned him he rudely told my because that's the rule, and the new manager implemented this rule. I guess I'm an either a glutton for punishment or or I believe that with enough negative reviews changed would be made. I love Whataburger . If there is one positive , it would be the food is good! However , this store is in desperate need of a management change. My wife wanted Jr. burger tonight so we drive to Whataburger. We were the only car in the drive thru. But but nobody came over the intercom to take our order for over 5 minutes after we got there. I finally called out "Hello!l and a guy comes back asking me to wait a minute. Then I wait another 2 or 3 minutes. In order my wife's Jr. burger with no onions and tomatoes. When we get home , it's a large burger with everything on it. This whata offers by far the worst customer service I have ever received. For one, I have waited over an hour within the drive thru lane. Second, the times I have ordered inside for takeout have been horrendous. When being inside I have to waited at the front for an extensive amount of time without being helped by staff. I have had to flag them down in order to order. The staff is also very rude. Many time I will receive my order and then forbid I need ketchup or any other condiments, because that will take another additional 20 minutes to receive. The manager is always aggressive rude reflecting a toxic environment on her employees. Writing this review as we have been sitting in our car waiting 20 minutes now for our food. Can see the employees inside moving at a snails pace. This one in Leander is awful! We sat in the outside lane to order and the guy key skipping us which should have been our first sign LOL We then moved to the other lane and finally got our order in Update: after watching several cars leave with their orders while we were still waiting, my husband got out of it our vehicle and went inside the restaurant. Apparently they lost our order while another employee said our order was given to someone else. The girl at the counter told my husband that he was the 5th person to come in tonight with their order given to the wrong person. My husband was pretty upset and asked for our money back. That took a long time too as the manager couldn't find our ticket. If this is a franchise, I would be very concerned about their business! read more
