It is truly sad I have been going to this location for over 10 years. And o have seen the service go from outstanding to a level that is hard to describe. I have watched the prices rise and the quantity and quality decrease. Today was a prime example of the poor service. Jersey Mikes prides themselves on being fresh sliced. Well if that person doesn't know how to run the meat slicer and short strokes the cut. It not only cuts the customer portion it also causes the meat and to chip. This creates more wasted meat that you see accumulate under the blade. The problem of this is caused by the workers rushing and not carrying about the quality of the product they are producing. And I was the only customer in the store so no need to rush. This is just so sad to see business deteriorating mainly due to poor management and employees not caring about quality of the products they produce. read more

Our sandwiches were good overall. Jersey Mike's definitely loads them up, especially with the meat and cheese, and then adds the toppings of your choice. I wish that the online ordering site had room for comments. All three of us wanted light lettuce, but there was no way to communicate that and we were unable to call which was why we were ordering online. I'm sure they've probably used their bread forever, but I wish it was more New York style -chewy and crusty. Don't misunderstand these are not complaints just things that in our opinion would make the sandwich go to the top of the list . We had to order three sandwiches, one bag of chips and one brownie. The order was correct with the exception of a small error on one of the breads which was ordered wheat and came in white. If there were a 3 1/2 stars, I would take advantage of that, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and four stars along with it. When we think about an easy meal, even from a takeout perspective, it's always a sandwich. If you tried Jersey Mike's, it may end up being the ONE for you! read more

This is a solid location. My sandwiches have always turned out as requested. They are very generous with their deli meat, and since I find it to be more than I want, I ask for half. They're surprised but they accommodate me. The vegetables are fresh: crisp lettuce, crunchy pickles, firm tomatoes. The bread is also always soft. The employees seem to work together well. No one stepping on anyone else's feet. Parking isn't great due to the number of businesses that share the spaces, but it's worth looking for one to grab a sandwich here. read more

I ordered a sandwich yesterday, they were already busy and as the young woman started my order, more people were spilling in the front door. It was unreal. And then more people came in and then more, I'm not kidding. There were so many online orders, too. So they were working my sandwich in with those. I'm sure it gets a little tricky working in the in store orders with online. You should have seen how many tickets were on the counter. They were just working non stop. A few men waiting on their online orders were standing at the very end of the counter just staring at them the entire time. Talk about pressure. One man even spoke to them rather impolitely and the young man he spoke to handled it very well. These young people still managed to make our order perfectly and address me with a smile on their faces. I appreciate your hard work and doing well under pressure, too! Just a quick note: I saw a review where someone stated that he came in and waited on his online order for 30 minutes. When he finally got it, he said it had already been ready and he just didn't realize it. He feels like this is their fault. Yes, there may have been a mistake on their end, but to wait 30 minutes on a sandwich order without asking them expressly to check for his name on an order is really the customer's mistake. I'm sure I might have waited longer than necessary too, but I would not wait a full 30 minutes without asking them to confirm that they hadn't overlooked my order and I definitely wouldn't give them a one star review because of that simple oversight. A great spot to grab a quick lunch! I always use the mobile app to order ahead, and this particular visit I had enough points for a free sammich-SCORE! Order was ready on time, I walked in and walked right out. Staff was friendly even amongst the crazy lunch rush, but they were pumping out sandwiches right and left. This location is in a super busy area so parking can be a nightmare at times during lunch, but definitely save yourself some time and order ahead on the app! So easy. read more

Confession time: I have a complicated relationship with Jersey Mike's. On the whole, they're a reasonably well run chain. They're not that good at handling peak times, but the staff I've met are at least good-natured about it. Yet I'm always conflicted on recommending their sandwiches. After waaaay too much thought on the subject, I'm convinced that it all comes down to their bread. They use a delightfully soft bread, even for their Rosemary Parmesan. This is the kind of bread that angels would frolic upon. However, it becomes a mushy quagmire when you put anything 'hot' on it. Meatballs turn it into a saucy mire. Pastrami Reubens sink into a sump of sauerkraut. But...when cold deli meats are sliced fresh and draped over it, then it's heavenly. I can honestly say that their signature sub, the #13 Italian Original, is hands-down the best Italian sub offered by a national chain. The provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni blend together a meaty gestalt that Guy Fieri would approve of. So do yourself a favor. Get the #13 or any other cold sub and lead yourself not into temptation by ordering any of the hot ones. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. One thing is consistent in this life time...people take short cuts. I am sure they want to get home. But if that is the case...change your hours to say 8:30 and take the hit with missed business. This Jersey Mike's location is aweful. They take no pride in checking their to go app orders or servicing customers. Check your orders before you leave the store! Ordered two sandwiches and three bags of chips. They were out of two bags of chips so they just didn't put them in. Drove all the way back and the excuse I got was "I didn't pack your bag so..." Get back in the car and open up the sandwich that was supposed to have no peppers on it, tons of peppers. Just silly to run a sub shop and not be able to get app orders right when it's typed out for you. Horrible! 100% horrible! When I went to the counter the woman (the only woman working there) was rude. I arrived 2 minutes early because I know that Jessey Mike's is well staffed... if you arrive late, your sandwich might get soggy... the rude woman informed me that it wasn't ready yet. Anyhow, the woman was rude, and 5 people got their sandwiches AFTER I arrived (this is the second time this has happened) do I look like a hobo or something????? The main offender was that after the crew took care of the 5 people in line they all went in the back laughing and hollering. The woman actually went on break while I sat there sandwichless @_@ I recieved my sandwich 10 minutes after the pickup time... and I had to go up to them and ask, "Is my sandwich ready yet?" I probably would have had to wait a few more minutes if I hadn't approached the counter and inquired about my sandwich. My sandwich was sitting there... for how long???? I'm not sure. There was FIVE employyees working. FIVE!!! And my sandwich sat there!!!!! I'm beyond disgusted with Jersey Mike's. This is a very sad day.  I have pictures and videos of this. I'm throughly disgusted. Lastly, I was thinking, "My sandwich isn't ready, but they will probably hook it up!!"  WRONG!!! It was the weakest, worst sandwich I ever saw from Jersey Mike's!!!! Didn't get beginning of service for about 3/4 minutes just standing waiting... then attitude was was given because I didn't want cheese or Bell peppers, just set the bread aside and didn't assist anymore for over 5 minutes another employee got around to me... with meat and cash definitely should have paper under the sandwich when it gets over to the register, but no, slid the bare sandwich all the way over before wrapping it, and sticking the wrapper in a big juice or some kind spill on the counter... read more

Not all Jersey Mike's are the same. I had tried a Jersey Mike's previous and was not impressed. The craving for a BLT had me come to this newly opened location. There were only a few people waiting for sandwiches. It gave me time to review the menu. To my surprise, there was no BLT listed on the hanging menu. The gentleman who was making sandwiches asked me what I wanted. I asked about the BLT and he said they had it. So he proceeds to make my sandwich. The next man asked me what I wanted on it. Then he stops me and adds more bacon to my sandwich. Turns out he was the manager and knew the amount of meat each sandwich should have. Trust me, there was a ton of bacon on it. The sandwich was delicious. A week later, I tried their chicken cheese steak sandwich. It tasted great but it was skimpy on the meat. This was the reason of minus 1 star. Inconsistency. That sub was stacked! The secret ingredient for a really good sub is their Cherry Pepper Relish (CPR), its absolutely delicious. I put that stuff on everything. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I guess its about time I do this review. I have been coming here regularly since they opened a few years ago. Between 2006 and 2008 I moved back up to the Boston area for work reasons, and found a little sandwich shop called Royal's (or something like that) that had the very best Roast Beef sandwiches. They roasted a beef shoulder every morning, and thin sliced the beef directly onto the samdwich. It was and is the best roast beef sandwich I've ever eaten. Moving back to Texas, I was delighted when after they opened here, that Jersey Mike's has this exact Roast Beef sandwich. I haven't found an equal in any other Austin area sandwich shop. But they have this just the way I like it. I asked an employee, and they confirmed that they cook a beef shoulder fresh each day. And when you order the sandwich, it is thin sliced when you order. One detail is thay the Roast Beef is not piled high. My recommendation is to order the Mini sized sandwich with ectra meat (extra cost). I do not get it "Mike's Way" but with lettuce, tomato and Mayo. When ordered that way. it is the best. They have other good subs. Tonight I ordered the Regular sized Meatball Sub with light sauce (tends to be a little too saucy for my tastes, otherwise). In all other regards, this is a good sub shop. I think quality overall is better than Subway. But their Roast Beef is my favorite. If you've been looking for a grest Roast Beef sandwich (cold Roadt Beef, by the way), definitely try the double meat mini. read more

Probably my favorite sub shop in Austin and maybe my favorite chain restaurant. Almost everything on the menu is tasty, this location is clean and unless you get the giant, the food is tasty enough that you wouldn't mind another bit even though your hunger has been satisfied. They also have good Soda choices and the tea is for real. My only warning is that you can't get the hot subs and drive very far before they get soggy - it is best to eat them at the location or in a nearby park. The majority of employees are friendly and efficient. To me - that speaks of good mgmt and providing a decent working culture. The Jersey Mike's app can be frustrating at times when they offer a good special - the app is easily overwhelmed and will often refuse to take my order or process my CC. But you can always just give them a quick ring on your way over since I don't change up the ingredients or condiments from what is standard. read more
