It's funny how the standards for food chains have become so low that we expect mediocre food at best and we take it just because we're hungry or tired at the end of the day or even on a late Sunday night just looking for anything half way decent. Well, this Whataburger on Blanding really surpassed my expectations for sure!. I've never had an issue here, whether it be going through the drive-thru or dining-in. The lines are usually short, and the wait isn't long, and the food is usually "fresh". I've seen a lot of reviews regarding bad appearance and hygiene but luckily, I haven't, yet. read more

We were visiting our daughter who is a huge burger freak. She wanted to try Whataburger, the best burger joint in town. Let me start with that we're from S. Fla.... so maybe a little spoiled of what "we consider an amazing burger". I got the regular whataburger adding peppers&onions, mushrooms and cheese; hubby had the burger with bacon adding peppers and onions. We had onion rings on the side. The burgers were average, cooked to hot temperature and juicy, the toppings were fresh, onion rings were average. So, to US it was an average burger similar to our Burger King in S. Fla. The service was great. They assign you a number and bring you your burger. The restaurant was clean. I also went to the restroom and it was clean. Was it the best burger ever? Eeeh no, but it deserves 4 stars based on its appearance, the restaurant and the service. read more

Good food, fantastic staff, fair prices. Can not say enough good things about the friendly staff here. Prepared to order burgers are very good. Open 24/7 and they offer burgers anytime. I typically pass by here around 8:00-9:00am and ordering a burger is no problem at breakfast time. Wish i had more opportunities to visit, it is closest Whataburger to my home at 300+ miles away, so i only get to visit on road trips. Wish there was one closer to home. read more

It's a chain fast food restaurant nothing to rave about. The place was clean including the restrooms so that's always a positive. But the food was average similar to Burger King's Whopper. We asked for a LARGE chocolate shake and they told us they were out of the large.. okay fine, so we asked for a medium.. we also asked for a chocolate malt medium.. they charged us for the medium shake and a LARGE MALT. And they gave us a vanilla one instead. But when my boyfriend went inside to tell them they overcharged us, they told us they were "out of shake mix" when shakes were STILL BEING MADE IN THE PROCESS! so they overcharged us AND lied about not being able to remake the ones we were supposed to get! 7/13 We tried in vain to find a brewpub close to the beach to have a nice dinner but couldn't find parking to save our life. We finally agreed that Whataburger would not let us down! :) It nearly did. I went into the bathroom and I was appalled. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. It was nasty gross. I came out to ask my husband if we could just go but he'd already ordered. Hunger won out over my germophobic objections. The food is always awesome. The burgers are like dinner plate size, the fries (when hot) are salty and yummy, and I love that tray of condiments that they offer you. I tried a shake this time and it was fantastic. Really tasty. The service was fantastic. The young guy at the counter, Christian, really did his best to hustle and he was really friendly and helpful to the influx of people who came in at the same time we did. I'd give them a one for the bathroom but a five on service and food. I wish I could give 3.5. I also wish this chain went a little further north than Oklahoma! read more

I waited forever for the food in the drive-through. Which is typically for all (greater) Jax Whataburgers. I'm very clear with my order when I placed it. Everything on the receipt was correct. Yet the drink was wrong the fries were cold and the two add ingredients weren't there. Unfortunately was able to go back in and get everything redone. read more

I ordered a 3 pc strip, right? At the window, I asked the cashier, "Is it extra to ask for a side of gravy?" He said, "No, it comes with the order." When he received my bagged up food, he opened all the bags and said, "I'm making sure they gave you the gravy." Then he handed all my bag of food. Well well well, where do I even begin with this disgrace of a "restaurant?" My friends and I attended this particular Whataburger at 9pm on a Sunday. Let's start with the appearance of the employee working the register. I'm not sure what kind of drugs the kid was on but it must've been strong ones. I could tell just by looking at him with his crooked hat. When my friend got up to the register, she ordered a small chocolate shake, a small fry and a small soda. She was then informed by CHRIS that the shake machine was not working to which she replied: "that's fine, I'll just take the small fry and small soda then." Ladies and gentlemen, my friend was then given TWO LARGE cups. When we looked at her receipt, CHRIS charged her for a small fry, a small drink, AND a medium drink that she didn't even order. The manager even had to come over and assist CHRIS during this order and he STILL messed it up?? We then find out that another one of our friends ordered a milkshake and received it with no issues. Also, there were no vegan options. One of my friends had to go to a different restaurant to get a salad and bring it into the Whataburger. Overall, a less than satisfactory visit. Fresh fries tho. EDIT: APPARENTLY AN EMPLOYEE HAND SPUN THE MILKSHAKE MY FRIEND GOT BUT MY OTHER FRIEND WAS REFUSED A MILKSHAKE COMPLETELY. The friend who received the milkshake was a male and the one who was refused a milkshake was female. Sexism? I think yes. P.S. Why is there no #7 or #8 on their menu! I don't understand the hype but I am not from Texas. This particular location is extremely slow. The line was through the lobby but yet team members were eating at booths and their food was made before the customers. Not friendly here and this seemed like an older establishment. My fiancé enjoyed his avocado patty melt burger. The onion rings were the best part of the meal. Burgers reminded me of McDonald's in terms of bun and toppings. Food was cold. I am not ashamed to admit that I am addicted to whataburger. Since everyone going to whataburger will already know what whataburger is, this place doesn't really need a review. So I will write this for those who clicked on the whataburger yelp link wanting to be reminded of why they love whataburger. First of all, the large fries come in a cup. That's sick. It's a good reminder that you are stuffing your face. Secondly, for some reason the double tastes better than a single. I would fight off raccoons for a double burger. Lastly, and this may be too controversial for some, this place is In n' Out for those of us in the south without In n' Out. I say this with conviction. Oh, and this place is open 24 hours and it always tastes delicious. It's like a church for those stumbling home or have lost their way. What Can I say about a hamburger joint that I made fun of when I was in Texas. Thank You for building them in jacksonville FL. They use a certain seasoning combo that I like. Maybe it's the paprika or is it the amount of salt n pepper. I think it is the season all that I believe that they used. I have driven out of my way to get their burgers. The burgers are good, but when I bite into one... I definitely don't say "What-a-burger"! They have all kinds of burgers that you can get with french fries. They also always serve breakfast. You can find biscuits, hash browns, grits, and breakfast burritos on the menu. They have a dine in area as well as a side thru. It may just be my luck, but I always find myself waiting an awful long time for my good. For me, the long wait is defiantly a turn off. They are a little more on the expensive side. I think for fast food. This place is pretty decent. Its a clean establishment. They make a really good patty melt. Especially if you add jalapenos it's spices up the flavor. So if you want to get away from McDonalds or Burger King. Check this place out it's a little pricey but worth it. I don't eat this kind of food really anymore trying to be more healthy.
