Ordered three items, two out of the three items were wrong. Cheeseburger made with incorrect toppings, ordered a plain cheeseburger with grilled onions, husband checked my cheeseburger to make sure it was correct and it was not, he had it remade, and the response of the person working the drive thru was "my bad ". The second item that was wrong was a chocolate malt, we received a chocolate shake instead, not the same! It was 7:15 PM on a Friday and not busy I visited the same location about a month ago and the only item that I ordered, a plain cheeseburger with grilled onions, in which they forgot the cheese. The reason I returned a second time was the burger tasted really good the first time although I had to add my own cheese at home. The second time cheeseburger was not so good. So I've been to this location twice and three out of the four of the items I've ever ordered from there were wrong so that is a 75% failure rate. I will not go back. We came here for dinner around 5:50 pm, and there was no drive-thru line at all -- it was quick, just as it should be. I'm guessing the other reviews about long waits were referring to the dinner rush, because we didn't have to wait at all. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. This location is great! The place was absolutely spotless. SO clean!! The Whataburger experience is getting better in KC. The food here is just as good as the TX locations I've been to. That's not the case everywhere in town. But this one and LS are rocking! The staff was so kind and made sure we had ketchup, HOT ketchup, salt and napkins when we needed them. I would love to give a review on the food but I've tried 3 times to get breakfast here and have yet to get any. I have stopped in my home from work 3 separate times over the last month, on each occasion when ordering biscuit sandwiches, I am good that they have (or not enough) biscuits for my order and will be a wait while they make them. I was told this morning that they dry out so they don't keep up on them. Done trying, both McDonald's and Burger King have no problem having food prepped and ready. read more

Whataburger has been in our town for quite some time now. I finally went in to try it while on lunch on a work week. As I walk in I stood there for a bit looking at the menu. I want to see what the hype is all about. Nothing too different then any other burger joint in town. It's an upscale burger joint. They provide better service. They bring the food out to your table. The burger itself was not too different than a burger from Sonic or Wendy's. Pricing is inline with the other burger joints. The atmosphere in the dining area is bright and cheerful, clean modern bright orange deco. read more

This was my first whataburger experience and it won't be my last! I haven't traveled in Texas much so I had never had this chain before. It's new to the KC area due to Patrick Mahomes bringing it here. The portions for their regular combos are extremely generous. No one needs to ever be ordering a large size anything here- the beverage for the medium/regular combo is more than enough. Overall I was impressed by the cleanliness and the staff in the restaurant. It's pretty standard fast food fare but that's exactly what I wanted- if those are your expectations then you won't be disappointed. read more

With the location on 135th and Antioch being such a mess, I decided to roll the dice and try this new location near Town Center. I've been pleasantly surprised on all of my visits. I'm not sure if this location just hasn't been discovered yet, but the wait times here are practically non-existent. The longest I've waited is 10 minutes, and that was because they were waiting on fresh tenders to get done. They were worth the wait. Each time I've been, my order has been accurate and fast. Food is what I'd expect from Whataburger... better than your national chain fast food, not quite an In-n-Out or Five Guys. read more

Ordered two burgers and two shakes on the app, and when we got to the restaurant we put in the parking place we were at and were promptly greeted by a shantae , letting us know that the shake machine was broken. They refunded our money for our shakes, and cash gave us two sodas for free, gave us two brownies, and also gave us a coupon to come back and get shakes for free at another time. Iv tried to like whataburger a few times and every time I'm highly disappointed but my husband loves it so I will return a million times. I tried a Buffalo chicken salad this time and it was over run with blue cheese YUCK. The boy taking our order couldn't tell me the difference in the whata chicken and the spicy whatachicken. Not acceptable. I just ordered the spicy. The salad was not good. My husband on the other hand always eats a burger and gets a second for the road. What a great Whataburger location! Visited here recently for an early dinner through the drive-through and was really impressed by the experience. The drive-through only had a couple people in it so it was nice to see a location not super busy! The younger gentleman that took my order was super friendly and really did a great job. I ordered the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger on Texas Toast (thank you Whataburger for that option!), fries, and a Coke Zero (and thank you again for having this!!). The food smelled so delicious and ended up staying warm for the 30 minute car ride I had afterward. The burger was seriously so flavorful and might be the best sandwich I've had from any Whataburger location so far. I hope to visit this location more in the future and really appreciate the great customer experience I had here. read more

I'm gonna be extra harsh on Whataburger because of all the hype about this place. All KC heard about for a year was how great Whataburger is and how Mahomes is bringing it to the area. Was it worth the wait? NOPE! So I appreciate the free burger from the app, but I wouldn't go out of my way in the future for this place. I got a single with no mustard, add jalapeno, add creamy pepper sauce, grilled onion, lettuce, tomato, extra pickle. It reminded me of a low quality Burger King burger tbh. I was sitting there thinking....hmm, what is all the hype about? I couldn't even taste the grilled onion. If you want grilled onion on your burger you can actually taste, go to Cosmo. I honestly think Wendys is better. The meat at Whataburger doesn't have much flavor to it. I'm not surprised the other location has 2 stars and that this one has only 3 stars.
