    Double w jalapeños (small bun)

This location is great! The place was absolutely spotless. SO clean!! The Whataburger experience is getting better in KC. The food here is just as good as the TX locations I've been to. That's not the case everywhere in town. But this one and LS are rocking! The staff was so kind and made sure we had ketchup, HOT ketchup, salt and napkins when we needed them. It's close to Fidelity and Andy's, so we'll be back. Pro tip: ask for the small bun on a regular burger. The bread:meat ratio is better. ;) (pictured)

This new location was already up to speed (the day after opening) during my dine-in breakfast visit. My honey butter chicken biscuit ($3.59) was brought to my table just three minutes after I ordered at the counter, while the dining area was clean and new but without background music. This location offers two drive-thru lanes.

Whataburger has been in our town for quite some time now. I finally went in to try it while on lunch on a work week. As I walk in I stood there for a bit looking at the menu. I want to see what the hype is all about. Nothing too different then any other burger joint in town. It's an upscale burger joint. They provide better service. They bring the food out to your table. The burger itself was not too different than a burger from Sonic or Wendy's. Pricing is inline with the other burger joints. The atmosphere in the dining area is bright and cheerful, clean modern bright orange deco.

This was my first whataburger experience and it won't be my last! I haven't traveled in Texas much so I had never had this chain before. It's new to the KC area due to Patrick Mahomes bringing it here. The portions for their regular combos are extremely generous. No one needs to ever be ordering a large size anything here- the beverage for the medium/regular combo is more than enough. Overall I was impressed by the cleanliness and the staff in the restaurant. It's pretty standard fast food fare but that's exactly what I wanted- if those are your expectations then you won't be disappointed.

Eh. I'm underwhelmed. It was my first time here and maybe I just didn't know what to order. My sandwich was warm, but I would've liked it hotter. I'm afraid it was just sitting under a heat lamp, already prepared and waiting for someone to order it. The fries were undercooked and I threw most of them away. The workers in the drive-thru lane (there are 2 lanes, which is nice) were welcoming and kind, and I love that they serve Coke products.

Solid food would be better if they knew how to get an order right. Asked for honey barbecue and they gave me mystery sauce.

Overall - fun and quirky environment with lots of yummy food options…read more Menu: EXTENSIVE menu with lots of options to choose from... to the point that it can get a lil overwhelming. Thankfully most items have a reference picture so it was easier to gauge what you're getting, which I appreciated. I'd recommend getting the Honky Tonky (with bbq sauce on the side) bc it was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Other burgers were good too (not all were shown n some I forgot the names), so high chance they'll turn out good. Appetizers id recommend (not shown) is the Spare Parts Appetizer that lets you sample a lot. Several were good like the jalapeños n cheese curds. As for the price and portion though, I don't think it was that worth it.... The burgers aren't that big compared to other places and the fries portion was kinda small too. So for the price of $20 after tax, just not worth it. Yummy but I could always get burgers somewhere else too. Atmosphere: if you're into cars, bikes, all the edgy garage and western decor, you'll like this place. It was fun to look around and see how this place was decorated. It can be a lot though. In terms of space wise, lots of rooms and tables around. We had a party of 11 and were thankfully able to make it work on a busy day. Service: our server was chill and patient with us. Felt like our burgers came out at a reasonable timeframe. Summary: was good and even though yummy, probably more of a 1 visit every few months bc the portion to price ratio isnt it imo :( especially if I can get burgers and fries in bigger (n refillable) elsewhere. Would highly recommend trying though!!

I tried the peanut butter burger and yes peanut butter is dry but it needed some sauce to go with it. Maybe a jelly ? PBJ BURGER? I chose cinnamon on my fries and sadly it was forgotten. I did like the ambiance and how it was themed a cool car garage! The service was nice and they even had a raspberry beer.

It's very good, but there are a couple that are better. I ordered a double cheeseburger as they prepare it. I didn't love the pickles. They were weird. Not your typical dill pickle, which I prefer. The guys working behind the counter, insisted that I use the QR code to order instead of talking to them. There was no way for me to add mustard on the website, which is what I would've preferred. I was able to do that at Cosmo Burger in Lenexa City Center when I was able to speak to a human. This location still had excellent tater tots, even though the burger was greasy and not how I preferred it to be topped. The bar that Cosmo Burger sits in is excellent! The bartender was attentive and kind. If you want a soft drink to go with your burger, you buy it at the bar and it is $3.90. I gave him a five dollar bill and left another dollar on the table when I left. I also tipped the guys at Cosmo Burger. So, it was $26 for a cheeseburger tots and a Coke. Yikes!

Easy to find off of 87th, the space is not huge, but there's plenty of seating, especially at the bar. Daily specials and a happy hour that runs until 6 PM during the week, so there is plenty from which to choose. Burger night (Mondays?) is $2 off the specialty burgers, and I recommend that Diablo Burger if you like a little heat. Sliced jalapeños & pineapple atop a 1/2 lb. burger with a sweet heat sauce, this burger will hit just right. Service is friendly and fast and the prices are right on par with the market. You can get in and out with a couple of burgers and a couple of drinks during special time for around $45 and that's a pretty good deal with a better value to boot.
