This location continues sinking into the abyss of poor food handling and unsatisfactory resolutions... Last night (4/10/20) as I approached the drive-thru window I handed my credit card to Alysha (new associate) who appeared to complete the transaction. After asking if any condiments were needed she then left the window and went to the closed lobby area WITH MY CREDIT CARD... I'm watching to see why she's walking all around the front registers before she then drifts farther back into the kitchen... STILL HOLDING ON TO MY CARD AND RECEIPT WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION! When she finally returned trying to hand me the food I insisted she hand over my card, first. I called the restaurant before arriving home to explain my concern to the asst. manager on duty. She confirmed the associate was new, and that she should not have had reason to leave the window w/ my credit card. I agreed to let her review the security footage and call me back. I waited 40 minutes before calling her back, but there was no answer. I started to return to the location, but opted to wait a little longer. About two hours later I called back and was told the footage still had not been reviewed because of the backed up drive thru traffic. The asst. manager indicated she'd look at it today if Blanca (general manager) didn't get to it before her shift started. See, this is where it started feeling like an agreed upon concern was becoming reprioritized as a lower-level issue. Still, I placed another order this morning around 11 AM. When the drive-thru attendant in Lane B approached my window to take payment I politely asked if she could be sure to bring my order since she was wearing gloves UNLIKE her other lane co-worker who brought out my orange juice. She told me she understood and politely agreed. However, 10 minutes later here comes the same cat I didn't want handling my food with his bare hands walking up w/ my order. After looking at the female associate who was supposed to bring it she simply responded with a helpless shoulder shrug so I asked her counterpart why he wasn't wearing gloves like every other associate. He nonchalantly said, "Nobody told us to." Really, dude?! CORONA AWARENESS has taken over society, but he's somehow the Whataburger exception?!! So he pulls the bag back and asks, "So you don't want your food?" I silently peeped his semi-cocky response before the mounting tension led him to reconsider by offering to "remake" my order. Another 15 minutes pass with me patiently sitting at the front of Lane B before a different associate wearing gloves appears w/ my food. Blanca stood at the kitchen entrance trying to justify the male employee not wearing gloves before coming over and boldly suggesting maybe I should just stay home since I was so freaked out by the way they were handling orders... AWW, HOLD IT, B!TC#!!! Then she claimed I'm always telling them how to do their jobs based on a survey I completed last month when the same associate she sent with my remade order had sniffed and wiped her nasty-ass nose with the back of her hand before attempting to take my order in the lobby; a few weeks after the Corona outbreak began! I didn't care for Blanca's smart-ass mouth so I politely handed her the food and requested a refund. However, she walked away before I could hand her my credit card. When she returned (handing me cash after CLAIMING she couldn't void the charge) I informed her of last night's credit card situation before she jumped dismissive again by down playing my concern with random hypothetical reasons that might've caused Alysha to leave the window w/ my credit card. That's when I kicked composure to the curb, and went into the Phantom Zone on her ass! Her funky attitude green lit me to respond with the appropriate hostility to let her know I AIN'T THE ONE... If I'm "always telling them how to do their jobs" then it's confirmation that her staff members are poorly trained in areas of food handling and complete customer service. That's aside from the visible soda/ketchup stained brick wall beneath the drive-thru window. Likewise, the lobby is often cluttered w/ trays at the tables, and the counter area near the soda dispenser is frequently covered with spills that remain ignored by staff. These were areas I chose to overlook because I always placed To-Go orders. Whataburger's popularity is no reason to allow any franchise to exist on a substandard level with random areas of inconsistency that remain uncorrected. The half-ass attention to detail and nonchalant attitudes regarding food handling are a direct reflection of Blanca's "good enough" expectations. Ironically, she's previously asked me to complete surveys when I've expressed commendation towards team leaders like Devona or Chauntey. Somehow, though, she demonstrates a clear level of resentment when other legitimate concerns are brought to light. read more

This place has gotten so bad! These people took my order while there was nobody behind me and I ordered a patty melt meal only. It took 40-45 minutes to get my food ready and 5 cars with bags of food left before me that came after me. This is the nearest whataburger to my house so it's the location that I visit the most. After several times of eating here throughout the past year I have decided that I have to leave a review. For one, the lines are always long and service is slow. I've been in line times where there were only two cars and seen it literally fill up because they take so long to hand out orders. Secondly, the food is always cold. Fries are never hot and the cheese is literally not melted at all on my burger. You would think that the slow wait times would mean that the food is fresh. I lived here before this Whataburger store was established. I have observed all the other restaurants that have expanded into this area as well. It's awesome...... Concerning this location, they have had ample time to get their act together. After my experience this last Friday night, I opine they have their act together.... They had both lanes open and they were running things as smooth as can be. A staff member by the name of "Prince" was HOLDING THINGS TOGETHER!!! I never thought you could be in 2 places at one time until I saw this guy Prince... I swear I saw him in 2 if not 3 places at one single time. I love whataburger and have been to so many different locations over a 15 or so year span all over Texas and this is one of the worst ones as far as service, if you want to get food here it will take at least 30 min in the drive through EVERYTIME. The line hardly moves, and I've been at various times and days. The only reason I come to it is because its closest to where I live, its almost worth the drive and time to go to another one. They need to hire more people at this location or open up another one a mile or so away, they are losing so many customers at this spot. read more

Last night was my first time going to this particular location. They have two drive thru lines, but one of them was blocked off. So the wait was really long, but that's pretty much how it always is with Whataburger on a Friday night. I ordered the number 7 (Whataburger Jr combo) with an unsweet tea. It took about 20 minutes to get through the line. I waited until I got home to eat and I wish I hadn't. When I got home, there was just a bag of fries with no burger! This particular location is about 15 minutes away. I was hungry and tired so I didn't feel like going back (it was already after midnight by this point). Luckily I had the receipts. The one with my actual order, and the one that was given to me (someone else's order). Today, I went back to see if they could help me out. The lady at the counter got the manager and he immediately notified his staff to make me a burger. He also gave me fries with it even though I got fries last night. No questions were asked. It was quick and very professional. So glad that they were able to fix this for me. It's a hassle having to drive all the way back there, but they handled it very well. read more

I don't understand their logistics...you place your order, pull up to the window and the server hands your your drinks; then you are told to pull forward and wait again for someone to bring out your order. Hi Yelp world, let me tell you about the dissatisfaction I had with this location. It placed an order for my family members and I, 6 orders of BOBs. We placed it through the App as it is always convenient. We were going on a beach trip and found ourselves hungry before the trip, so best thing to do was do fast food. We placed the order for curbside Pick-up as drive through would be inconvenient. We arrived and checked in at 10:30am. Our confirmation number stated that our order would be ready between 10:34-10:36am. Here I am, 11:08, 30 mins later still waiting on my breakfast. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had out of Whataburger. As you can see from my receipt I put in my order at 3o'clock I didn't receive my food until two minutes after I took the picture so I took a total of 13 minutes just to get a #1. I asked the manager young young lady about why it was taking so long for my meal to come out she asked the work crew in the back and they ignored her and kept talking to each other. She had to go back there in between all of them and ask where it was and they said they were waiting for fries because I asked for no salt on the fries. I know there's no way in hell it takes that long to cook fries. Then she told me it was also because one of the fryers was down, no apologies and then just walked off. A minute after that she came walking back by with her purse because she was leaving. When I finally got my order the guy gave me my bag and said here's your order and then walked off I got no condiments no paper towels so I waited for a couple more minutes for someone to come back up to the front so I can get catch-up and napkins I ended up just getting them myself. I called the customer care team from the number on the receipt but I feel that there's not gonna be any real change at this location based on some of the other reviews. Whataburger is a good chain--the same food and menu at every location. But it also has he same issues at every location, and this one takes the cake on long waits. With an every day crowd, it can take 15 minutes just to get a burger. On a Sunday with the after church crowd--maybe six or seven people in line inside--we waited 19 minutes from order time to getting our food called. To make it worse, orders were being called randomly with people several orders ahead and after us getting their food together. In our case, three orders were called all at once after five minutes of no orders coming out. The staff are always polite and friendly, even with large crowds, and I've seen them cleaning the tables and waiting areas throughout the day. By the wait time is ridiculous. It simply doesn't qualify as fast food when it's the same wait time as at a dine-in restaurant. If you are okay with the wait, it's a good Whataburger. read more
