12.29.2026 Update: Brought my daughter and she tried the Beyond Burger w/ Jalapeños, and Fried Pickles & Fries Mix. She LOVED IT!! She says it's hard to find a place that can make a good vegan burger. The only place she can think of that comes close is Barnaby's. I took a small taste of her burger "meat", and I must say it was actually really really good and flavorful. I'm totally NOT the faux meat type, LMAO!!! We both look forward to coming back!! 12.20.2026 - First time finally trying this place after passing by during my commute twice a day every single day. OMG what was i stalling for!! I had the Avocado Swiss Burger and Chili Cheese Fries. I LOVE how they had the Avocado slices layered so neatly. I pay attention to details and that made me smile bcz it was so picture perfect. Most places toss random raggedy skinny pieces of Avocado on a burger that make you feel like it's a waste of money paying extra for it. JAX was chef's kiss. My burger overall was juicy, not soggy or sloppy like most places "juicy" is. It was also so full of flavor and each item shined well alone and in harmony together. I love a good chili cheese fries and JAX definitely did not miss. They had the perfect amount of chili and cheese that allowed me to taste both equally with every bite. While other places give tons of chili and only a dollop of cheese, JAX's was very nicely balanced which made it easy to say I'll be back very soon. read more

This location is located in a convenient area with plenty of parking. I walked in on a Wednesday around 12:30PM and they had plenty of clean seating. It was decorated in the Jax brand as shown on the walls and tables. The cashier was nice and recommended the hot hickory burger. It was cooked fast and not greasy! I ordered their 1/3 lb Burger with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar which looked like shredded cheese and very light mustard for takeout earlier. Very delicious, beefy, hearty and high quality tasting burger. The buns were soft with a smidge of crisp and a hint of sweetness in them. The tomatoes were thick, red and fresh, while the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The meat patty was robust, juicy, very nicely seasoned and had an Angus vibe in flavor too. If you are looking for an excellent burger in the Pearland area, this is your spot. This is the first of two locations in the area, both equally good. This one is located with a shopping strip anchored by a Krogers. Parking is plentiful and it never seems to be super busy when we dine in. They seem to do alot of to go orders. For the quality of the product here, I think the prices are very reasonable. The food is always cooked to order so there is usually a little bit of a wait. Customer service can be hit or miss. My first order at burger places new to me is a regular cheeseburger with all the fixins. The burgers here are pretty huge and topped with the freshest veggies. The meat is always seasoned to perfection and the bun is nice and toasted as well. I've also had their double cheeseburger, the baja burger, the shroom burger, and crispy chicken sandwich just to name a few. Their fries are also the best around. I can't confirm they are hand cut, but they cook them perfectly and season them just right. I can't honestly say I've had anything bad here. I never have room for dessert, but I hear their shakes are the truth. On top of having two restaurants here in Pearland, they also have multiple locations around town. They also seem to do alot of food truck catering to alot of events around town. When I'm in the mood for a burger and have time to sit down and enjoy one, this is my go to in Pearland. read more

This had been a place I've passed a few times recently coming to and from work and decided to stop in today. The inside of the spot is pretty nice with a few booths and open tables. Typical burger spot vibes. Where my grievances lie is with the food and service. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich. It comes with the option of crispy and grilled, which I didn't get till after the fact, and realized I wasn't even asked for which I wanted and ended up with a grilled sandwich. The sandwich was very lackluster, under seasoned, boring, and the toast that it comes with was soggy from the tomato seeping through. I ordered the sandwich and fries and it ran me about $14 in total. The fries were $3.50 alone and were nothing superior to want to write about. This place was so promising! Went in and the AC was out, and pretty toasty inside. The floors had dew and very slippery from the AC being off. We decided to get our food to go and didn't realize they put the food in a plastic container, which is kinda nice but if you live a little ways out your bread will be soup like due to the condensation and fries will be super soggy. This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. They had a special for an Avocado Buffalo Chicken wrap but it was fried and I wasn't feeling like a wrap. Their business model excludes people who do not like Mustard. Condiments can't be taken off like lettuce. Condiments are the main basic thing people can or not tolerate, even the sight of. I have ordered personally they got my order wrong and took forever to correct and just took out the cold fries not touched with mustard. Today, my office ordered it for a long meeting during lunch. ALL BURGERS HAD MUSTARD! For office orders to go, you must not put a condiment just at the two packages to choose from. I will express this to my company to order elsewhere unless you change the burger to "Your way". You are so cruel to force what you like to illuminate others. Excellent! You can tell these are good ol' fashioned homemade burgers. Reminds me of the ones my grandma used to make. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Opted for the 1/3lb burger and while it did hit the spot, this thing was dripping with grease. The takeout order went super smooth, having called it in about 10 minutes ahead of time. We were in and out in about a minute and everything came out quickly. The tots were spot on, but they could have thrown in a couple of ketchup packets. The burgers were mostly soggy and falling apart, and for a 1/3lb, I guess it cooked down significantly because there wasn't much to it. The shroom burger had just that and seemingly not much else. I was still pretty hungry. For the price, this is ok, but I think I would try for something a bit more flavorful and a little less grease next time. read more

The service was exceedingly friendly, very patient with my indecision, and went above and beyond to be helpful. Always a challenge to find good food away from home. I had the Baja 8oz burger with fries and a shake. This is by far one of the best burgers I have ever had, definitely top 5. It had everything, the bun was toasted, the beef was too quality and flavorful. All the right toppings and very juicy. It's a bit messy, but that made it even better. I like Jax. I have been going here for years, even prior to moving to Pearland. Jax has a wide variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and even Hot dogs. I love the fact that if i am feeling rings or fries i can get a mix of the two. The problem that i have is though Jax can make a pretty decent burger, the burger alone isn't enough to get past the stale buns. My wife and I have gotten Jax on separate occasions and today was the last time Ill be visiting. Of the past 5 or 6 times, we have gotten stale old buns at least half that time. I've worked in Pearland for three years and I really cant believe it took me this long to try this place. It's goooood. Upon walking in I was greeted immediately. It was lunch time so all of the tables were taken as it is a smaller establishment. The cashier was friendly and quick. I ordered the half pound Fried Pickle Burger and it was delicious. It has fried pickles, jalapeno ranch, and lettuce and it was amazing. The fries are a thick cut but not too overwhelming and lightly seasoned. They were hot and crispy. I can't wait to try something else! That Frito Pie was calling my name LOL. It's a couple dollars more than a fast food burger place but you can taste the quality and craftsmanship. My burger and fries with a drink came out to $13.00-not terrible. One of the things that was pretty impressive was the staff. Very disappointed to find out that Jax raised their prices significantly enough to price us out. Used to come here with my family about every other week. We would pay ~$50 for 6 combos. Not bad for great burgers at ~$8-9/meal. Nice staff. Then we called today to place a to-go order and it totaled $75! Same order. I get it. Restaurants are hurting. Small price increases are understandable. But $25 more for the same meal? Too much. And too bad. Almost a month ago I placed an online order to a different location. To no fault of my own the order went to the wrong location. I called immediately to see how we could resolve the issue. However, the "manager" I spoke to over the phone, Maria, refused to give me a refund or even refer the order to the desired location. I will never patronize this business again. I attempted to dispute with my bank, but it's becoming an hassle because this restaurant uses a 3rd party (Chow Now) service to do pickup orders. Jax has several locations in Houston and this one is in a shopping center along with Randalls, Wing Stop, Pearl Dynasty, and several other businesses. I stopped for lunch on a Friday. The interior is your typical burger joint. Casual and modern. They have six or seven burger choices and you can also substitute grilled chicken for any of the burgers. They also have two burger combo options (single and double) that come with fries and a drink. Unlike the other choices, these burgers are 1/4 lb instead of 1/2 lb. Inspired by Chick-fil-a, I had a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese, pickles, and mayo with fries. The fries were pretty lackluster but the chicken was juicy and nicely-sized. They also have sweet tea, unsweet tea, old-fashioned lemonade, and one of those fancy soda machines where you select what you'd like on a screen. There are also three ketchup options at each table: regular ketchup, ketchup with jalapenos, and sriracha ketchup. If the fries were better and if there were more combo options and if the choices were a little more interesting, that would hike up my rating a little bit. read more

Food is okay-- good burgers and hot dogs. The only real vegetarian option is grilled cheese (I was hoping they'd have salads, but that's okay). Pearland got a new Jax Burger location and we decided to give it a shot since we had liked previous visits to the first one, though it's been a while. This location, found in the Kroger strip mall, is a bit snug when things get busy but is clean and has lots of tables. To order, just review the big board, step up to the counter and have at it. If you're in the mood to take out, you can also call in your order ahead of time. I went with the Baja Burger and the Garlic Fries. The burger, as most of the options are, is big, juicy, and delicious. The Baja is loaded with jalapeños and has a few strips of bacon and cheese. It was pretty good but, and this pains me to say, the bacon was the worst part of the burger since it was of the thick and non-crisp variety. The fries were doused with actual chopped garlic, instead of a garlic powder or salt, and we're alright. The spicy ketchup is awesome. 3.4 stars. Pretty good.
