I'm disappointed by this specific location every time. They can't even follow simple order instructions. Drive thru, doordash, or even IN STORE. Once I ordered 2 Vanilla Milkshakes. Ended up with 1 Vanilla & 1 Banana Pudding. Or just not recieving items I ordered at all. The store does not care to fix their wrongs and continues to make the same mistakes. Must be a bunch of chickens with their head cut off? But they could make a better hamburger than that. The food is usually raw or mixed with other foods (the fries/onion rings). Just poor service. Decided to stop here because it's a straight shot home. We are Whataburger fans - it's a Texas thing. Haven't been to one in awhile. It's a nice store - different from the others we've been to. Of course I miss the old A-frame style. Unfortunately quality wasn't there. Overcooked, too salty, cardboard thin, piece of meat, between a bun too big for the size of the meat. I was disappointed when I walked in and found the restaurant "unkept." The floor was dirty, stained, and basically in a bit of disarray. After ordering, the booth I chose to sit at was dirty, stained, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in hours My burger was another disappointment. It looked assembled instead of freshly cooked. The cheese was cold, veggies were poorly assembled, and the meat patty was dry. I should have sent it back requested a refund . I doubt I will ever come back. read more

Just across the street from this Whataburger is a Lota Burger next to Rust Hosp. That's where I wish I'd gone instead. I got too used to Whataburger on 528 which cooks their burgers when ordered. Not this one. At 6:30 p.m. after the rush, they served me a burger that had been precooked, prewrapped and microwaved. My fries were limp and COLD. After looking at my burger, they gave me a precooked WRONG burger. Next time I'm going to Lota Burger, RELIABLY cooked after I order. I only gave them a 3 star in the middle. It seems to be a hit or miss on the service sometimes great sometimes not. Wish I had some names to attach to this review cause there are some really good employees that seem to care about there job. So disappointed. We were looking forward to the opening of this location. Whataburger is a fav of ours. An old standby that never failed us. Well, that's all changed. From our first order here we were shocked how dry and bland the meat patty tasted. We have given it so many chances to redeem itself but no, it's still the same disappointment every time. But alas, something is different here. Inferior beef? Overcooking? Cooking patties ahead of time and leaving them to sit? Low quality manager? Low trained staff? I ordered the Buffalo ranch chicken sandwhich meal with an additional medium fry. My sandwhich did not have any Buffalo sauce and barley has an any ranch. It's the standard Whataburger affair, but in a new location near the Presbyterian Rust Medical Center. This location insists on asking for your name for the order, but they will still give you the wrong order, which is too funny. read more

Absolutely terrible experience, not at all worth the money spent here. You should be ashamed of the quality you're serving out & are risking making people sick serving old, cold food. $50 for OLD, cold, chewy fries, cold burgers, and old, cold chicken that had no sauce on it. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wings and received old, cold pieces of chicken with no Buffalo sauce on them. All of the orders of fries, and all of the burgers were cold. The fries were definitely not fresh they were old and chewy. We ordered online for curbside and it took too long to get the curbside order out. I requested spicy ketchup for each order of fries and there were no sauces in the bag. We had to go in and wait in a giant line for the ketchup that should have been in the bag. This made ordering ahead for curbside completely pointless. The amount of money spent was a lot for this absolutely terrible meal, that half of which just ended up in the trash can. We live in the neighborhood behind this location, Whataburger off of Unser and Wellspring and came here out of convenience, however from now on I'll spend my money elsewhere. I went to go get food last night at 12:40 a.m and i ordered a biscuit sandwich and ended up getting a burger on a bun when i order a #22 which is a biscuit sandwich. so i went in the next day because they said i would get the right order. but when i went i showed them my receipt and told them what was wrong but they ended up giving me the same exact wrong order again so i walked back in with a FULL bag of food and told them they got it wrong again they just handed me one sandwich when i had ordered 2 with hash browns but only gave me 1 sandwich back. i walked back in AGAIN just to be ignored the whole entire time standing there waiting for someone to help me. they just kept staring at me but wouldn't help me. #nevergoingthereagain #getitright read more
