I have visited this location a handful of times. Every time has been a good experience as far as food and services goes. Jimmy Johns developed an app they where you can order and pay in advice for delivery or pick up. You also get rewards by using this system. I believe for signing up, you get a sandwich valued at $8 or under for free. Today was the day I decided to use the app to place my first order and put that reward to use. I was able to customize each sandwich easily to our liking and once we were ready to check out it prompted Apple Pay to finalize . I rolled into the drive thru, told them I placed an order through the app, and they had me pull forward. They verified my name, handed me my food, and off I went. We enjoyed two sandwiches for under $10 tonight. Our sandwiches met JJ standards, but the only drawback was the side of guacamole I ordered. The taste is bland, it's watery, and expensive ($1.70) for its value. Also, this location is near Costco and Home Depot. If you have an itch for coffee to go with your JJ, then hit Rise and Roast that shares the same parking lot with them. Final vote: We will return, just no more guacamole!

Jimmy John's is kind of expensive for a fast food sandwich but it was good. Not particularly the fastest... We sat outside which appeared to have just as much seating as the interior. It's right next to a local coffee shop so awesome place to pop in for a sandwich and coffee in the middle of a workday.

So I have never been to a Jimmy John's before. I can only imagine this is a typical experience. This location has only recently opened. It is conveniently located near Kirtland Air Force Base and Sandia National Labs which may be a plus for some. The sandwiches were large and fresh. The service was fast. There were 13 employees that I could see working at the same time which seemed a bit too many, but I'm not sure what a lunch rush looks like there. My 3 star rating is merely for the taste and non unique nature of the sandwiches. It tasted very much like a sandwich one might find at grocery store deli. Nothing special. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. The portions were large, but again, not very unique or special. They are cold sandwiches but probably would have tasted better if there were a grilling or toasted option. Over it was okay.

    Where's the beef????!

What a treat! I wish I'd learned about Metro Subs years ago. A literal mom-and-pop (daughter made…read moremy sandwich), just the kind one likes to support. So, I was feeling like a sandwich and decided to try this little place in the Heights. Lots of parking, SUPER clean, welcoming, small but with good seating for pairs (inside and out) and great tunes playing (an eclectic and upbeat playlist - I liked every song during my visit, but several were new to me). An impressive menu (I've put up two shots of the menu board so as to help with any reflection issues) and just the nicest folks working. You know - immediately attentive and friendly, but then leaving you alone while you enjoy your food . . . asking to make sure everything's okay, but giving you your space. But you're here for the food, right? Well, it's quite reasonably priced and generously portioned. My hot pastrami was the California sort (not the fatty NYC sort of my childhood) and it came fairly loaded with juicy meat and just the perfect amount of the dressing I'd requested as well as an ideal amount of cheese. On an ethereally soft, fresh roll - ah, this today was the best sandwich roll I've had so far this year. Just a masterpiece. The sandwich (served with a bag of chips) was delicious and the price of the cold soda (a buck?!) was kind of amazing these days. They had really good looking brownies on the counter for $2, but I resisted. Kinda regretting that now that I'm back home remembering them. Ah well, I'll have to return soon!

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese, onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.
