Whataburger has always been one of my favorite fast food spots, so I was happy to hear that one was about to open near my new house a few months ago. I have dined in once for lunch and ordered pick up a few times. My expectations when it comes to fast food are not particularly high because...well, because it's fast food, but so far, I have nothing to really complain about here. I prefer to order on the app for inside pick up because I can customize my order easily and don't need to wait long once I arrive. You can also order from the touchscreens inside. I have never seen a very long line in the dining room, but the drive-thru line has always seemed to be a hot mess, so I would suggest avoiding that if possible and just stick to going inside to avoid the wait and aggravation. The food is tasty and consistent. I like that their burgers are considerably larger than their competition and they taste fresh every time. I like both their fries, which are cut thin and crispy, and the onion rings. I typically don't like ketchup but their spicy ketchup is bomb and they don't charge extra for it. I have tried the regular whataburger, the bacon whataburger, the avocado burger, and the jalapeno burger. I love that I can customize each one to my liking easily on the app, which gives you many options, including a variety of different buns to choose from. I can't reasonably justify giving it more than 3 stars because it is a fast food joint, and while it is one of my favorites of the burger spots, it will never be something that I crave like say the Popeye's ghost pepper wings that are my guilty pleasure. But overall, this location is better than the other one I have been to in Georgia, so I am glad that it is the one closest to my house. read more

I've heard so much hype about whataburger. I'll probably never be back, but it isn't bad. As far as fast food, it's above average. The place was clean and modern. This was my first visit to the new Whataburger in Roswell, Georgia. The grand opening was yesterday. The drive-through line was fairly long, but there were not that many customers inside the restaurant. The dining room has a few booths and a number of sets of chairs and tables. Sarah , the cashier, was friendly and welcoming. Being that this was my first time visiting the restaurant, she took time to answer my questions as well as make a recommendation about her favorite burger, the Whataburger with bacon and cheese. The food was good. Everything tasted hot and fresh. The fries reminded me a little of McDonald's in terms of the shape and size. They were served hot and well salted. The burger reminded me a little of the original whopper based upon the size of the hamburger patty. The Whataburger is served with mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. You can add cheese for an additional charge. If you download the app before visiting the restaurant, they will reward you with an offer for one free Whataburger. The offer is good for one week. What I most excited about having a Whataburger in Roswell is twofold. First, they are open 24 seven. Other than the waffle house, this may be the only place in Roswell that is open 24 hours a day. Second, they serve breakfast from 11 PM to 11 AM daily. Coming from California, I miss Jack-in-the-Box and the ability to order breakfast anytime of the day. I will definitely come here at night in order to order an occasional breakfast sandwich. Finally, they may not have the best burger ever, but the Whataburger is definitely very flavorful. First time to Whataburger. I visited at peak lunch hour on a weekday. Nobody was in the drive through and nobody was inside. It took 10 minutes to get our order. I wonder how that relates to drive through service. The burger was just bland with a really heavy bun. $2.50 for a tiny (kid's meal size) order of fries. A double cheeseburger meal cost me $16 and I had to wait 17 minutes in the drive thru for my order. It wasn't fast, it wasn't cheap, and parts of it were wrong. First of all the sprite with my meal was just carbonated water. If I had tasted it before I left I would have said their syrup isn't hooked up because there wasn't even a hint of sprite. The burger itself actually was not bad. It was sizeable which helped with the high cost. It was good too. All the produce was fresh and crisp. The burger itself was thin but large on area to cover the whole burger. It was also delicious and a good juicy texture. It was good enough, I'd consider returning but for $16 there a lot of great independent restaurants around that are also faster. read more

Awful, don't go in the middle of the day. You will get food that has been sitting there for who knows how long. The Patty of the Berger literally falling apart Tasting awful and old chicken tenders with gross breading. My wife and I ate here recently. I had not been to this location yet, still new. Ordered my usual, Whataburger w/cheese & jalapeños. Also got onion rings and a drink. It was excellent. Our service was great, the food was hot and tasty. This place is very clean and the folks behind the counter could not have been nicer. Great place, will be back! read more

This place is probably been open for six months and every time I come here once or twice a month there's always an issue I place a mobile order and it takes about 25 minutes for me to get it and they're not even busy Ordered Coke zero on my mobile order to dine in and the girl behind the counter filled it for behind the counter and she put Coca-Cola. Whataburger is one of my favorite fast food places. This location is new and in terms of quality of food, it did not disappoint! I assumed that considering only one car was in line that I could get in and out. I am pretty sure this was a 20 minute process from the time I arrived at the drive through until I received my food. I assume that this is because the place is new. Hoping the service gets better. Also, not a good sign when all the cars have to pull up and wait. When they decided to open a new Whataburger in Roswell I was pretty excited. I had lived in Florida for a number of years and enjoyed going to Whataburger, it was my go to place for burgers. My excitement for getting the new Whataburger was short lived. Within a couple months of opening service became very slow where even ordering when there wasn't any lines it took more than 15 minutes to get my food. Additionally my orders typically were wrong or missing items and it became aggravating to go there. I can't remember the last time I've been there where which is very disappointing as I said earlier. I never see too many cars in the parking lot or drive through. I'm assuming a lot of other people are experiencing the same lack of good customer service, issues with orders and timeliness of getting their food. Running a Whataburger is not rocket science. Having effective processes and adhering to successful business practices and repetition is key to success. That doesn't seem to be happening at this store. I'm sure sales have plummeted from when the store was initially opened. You only get one chance to make a good impression and this store hasn't been impressing too many repeat customers. They're opening a new restaurant only a couple miles from this location (in Marietta) and Im wondering why. It doesn't make fiscal sense to have a new location so close to a store that is hand new and underperforms. I see the Roswell eventually closing similar to the Steak and Shake restaurant it replaced. They (S&S) also started out with a lot of locals revisiting until it was clear that service and quality was substandard. Unless service and quality improves, I see this Whataburger location fading out and eventually closing as well. It's not a smart investment to open a restaurant and not have the experienced management on site with effectively trained personnel running the store. Just my opinion, but we'll see what happens. People here are happy to keep going to Chick-fil-a where theres always a line in the drive-thru, the restaurant's never empty and the food is always good. Awfully run restaurant. They cannot seem to get their act together. Specifically, their online order and pickup process is terrible. They don't start making it until you get there. You still have to wait in line and them you're here to pick up an order, which pretty much defeats the whole purpose of ordering online in advance. I've told the manager how bad the process is, they're not doing anything about it. They should go to Chick-fil-A or Zaxby's and they can see what an online ordering process and pick up looks like. read more

Tried the new location for the second time since opening and I won't be back. Fries cold, onion rings barely warm. Burger somewhat bland and very little ketchup. While going through the drive through was handed my food before the car in front of me and had to wait 7-9 min before I could proceed. This caused my food to get even more cold. Gave Whataburger another try and it was another disappointment! This time I went with the Chicken sandwich with the what sauce! The chicken was ok but the lettuce was limp and bread was soggy . So far I have been very unimpressed with the quality of food at Whataburger. read more

Tried Whataburger for the first time and am not sure what the fuss is about. New location that opened in the last week - so maybe chalk it up to first week learning curve. Service was fine, friendly. Bathrooms were disgusting. Food was meh. Fries were cold and rubbery. Burger (got the double with cheese) was just ok. Nothing special about it for the price. Wife got a "chocolate" shake. Shake thickness was good but other than the slightly brown tint to the shake, there was nothing else to suggest it was a chocolate shake. She said it has no flavor. Maybe we will try it again once they have more time under their belt, but for now - there's better, more consistent options out there - especially for what it cost. read more

I visited this location about four times over the past seven days. I recognize that Whataburger prides itself on cooking food fresh to order, however if you allow customers to order on line, and time is provided for pickup, you expect your food to be ready. I ordered breakfast on line. Curbside was not available so I opted to go through the drive through. When I arrived, the drive through speaker was not working. There was one car in front of me. By the time I got to the window, I was told that my order was coming up. I asked one of the workers what was going on and he advised that the app is misleading and that they do not start cooking your food until you arrive. He told me that they aim to serve hot food. He apologized for the inconvenience and "offered me a cookie". I declined. Finally, my food arrived and was missing my coffee. It took another 2-3 minutes to get my coffee and then another minute or so to get the cream. Needless to say, my food was not hot. All of this was in my online order but apparently there is a disconnect and the place is short staffed. This past visit was my last visit to this location. I grew up in Texas and Whataburger is better than this. read more
