I was involved in a car accident right outside this Whataburger location and went inside to ask for a plastic bag so I could get some ice for my injury. One of the employees, who was standing right near a stack of bags, told me she was "too busy" and that someone else would have to help me, despite the bags being just two feet away from her. Someone who wasn't an employee ended up grabbing a plastic bag for me, but instead of appreciating the gesture or even ignoring it, the employee began belittling them, saying, "Why did you do that? I told her someone else will help her." Then she stormed off to another employee to complain about what we did as if trying to get ice for an injury was somehow wrong. I was shocked by the lack of compassion and basic human decency in a moment when I was visibly injured and shaken. I honestly don't understand how someone with such a rude and unprofessional attitude is employed here, especially in a customer-facing role. read more

Great food. Still hot when it arrived at the table. The manager was getting cursed out by someone and he kept his cool. I think this is a pattern for this store. He handled it well tho. This place was my first ever Whataburger and they did not disappoint! The cashier was so friendly and she was being very helpful as she knew we were from out of town. She truly was helping us and introducing what Whataburger is all about that i didn't get my usual salad lol. We were a party of 10 and we got our burgers andino shakes roughly 6 mins after we placed our order - NOT BAD! I truly had a great dine in experience! The patties were just succulent and perfect. You could say it was false advertisement. As for the flavor...not what I was looking for...dry bun...a couple of peppers...I got the Monterey Melt. The cheese was scantily put in there.The other burger...Patti Melt was cold and the French fries were cold and rubbery as well. That P Melt looked like a basic old sandwich that had been thrown in a bag. Honestly...this is why I dont eat out much and this location sealed the deal for me. If you're a fan of the orange & white, you'll find this location just like you like it. I have to repost my pro tips for enhancing your experience at any Whataburger restaurant: 1. Order the chocolate malt (not shake) and ask them to go heavy on the chocolate and heavy on the malt. It doesn't cost any extra and it really gooses up the flavor. 2. If you just want a quick snack, order the $1.25 Justaburger. It's the only kid-size hamburger I know of that tastes every bit as good as the flagship version. read more

First off let me say that I'm in the military and from California, and that my first Whataburger experience was in Abilene, Texas. I gave the place 3 chances, but their food was HORRIBLE every time I tried it! I've had frozen food that tasted better than that place served. That was around 2003-2005. Needless to say, my impression of the Whataburger franchise differed from many in the past 13 years......until today. Now this Whataburger is completely different from my past experiences in Abilene. I had the triple patty burger and patty melt and fries, all the food was good when I brought it back to my hotel room. At least in my eyes, their food is now at the level of McDs, burger King, Jack in the box, etc. Remember, I mentioned I'm from California, where In-n-Out Burger is King... I've been enjoying Whataburger since 1982. They have a secret menu also. senior coffee is free 55+ but they don't ask. and they don't mind when you order Xtra crispy fries. My only complaint is they're scared of posting a 30.07 sign not wanting to turn aside Texas gun toting patrons. Instead they make there managers enforce the policy. Not a good idea in my opinion. What a great Whataburger - at least in the early morning. Biscuits were delicious and the service was great. My coffee tasted kind of weak and about 10 minutes later the guy who took my order asks how my coffee is while bringing me my food. Why was he asking? Another employee was complaining that the coffee looked weak and he wanted to get my opinion. When I told him I thought it was a little weak, he told me to check with him in a few so I could get a better cup once it was done! Amanda brought us our to go order and was really attentive. Sweet tea wasn't overly sweet. On the bad side, we were charged for cheese we didn't get, but on the plus side we received 2 cookies when we only ordered 1. Again on the bad side, by the time we got back to our hotel to eat (about 20 minutes later) our food was flat cold.
