Location really does matter. I should have driven to my better location but I was tired and chanced it. My first ever Whatacatch. I'm going to all the fast food that have fish sandwiches to find my best. I need to retry at another location. For some reason they thought I wanted creamy pepper sauce instead of tartar sauce Quite a different taste. I'm not a fan. I did request creamy pepper with my onion rings and got a container of it. It was a dry slightly overcooked fish I need to try again at the better location. This location has a history of wrong sauces, no sauces and things left off. read more

Have always enjoyed this location, once it was built years back I was so hyped to see! The convenience of its location is great. The food is for the most part always hot and fresh (yes it's fast food some times it might not be as accurate as a restaurant). The service from the staff is always consistent, many of the staff go out of the way to ensure you are taken care of! The inside is always clean and always ensuring you feel welcomed. read more

Literally waited 40 minutes in the drive thru today, and it's because they're always understaffed! The store owner/manager needs to treat and pay workers better because clearly their retention is terrible... Food itself came out cold and often has when I've come to this location in the past. It's almost like a stable in Texas everything about this place screams Texas, but most of all the food definitely is the epitome of what people will come and look for at a traditional hamburger place. This location is clean and the customer service is friendly. Case in point: don't offer a burger with the purchase of a medium sized fry and drink in exchange for taking a reasonable survey, then an untrained associate has NO CLUE about the process, and then lies! Quite possibly the worst whataburger I've ever been in! Cashier doesn't even acknowledge me, food was disgusting, onion rings were sent back immediately, I couldn't even get a pic. My sister was livid! No apologies or any type of customer to explain or acknowledge the disgusting food that was given to us. A huge piece of white lettuce that wasn't edible. My family has been coming here for only a few months now and it's been fine for the first time but not that long ago me and my family order there to go when we got home we were all eating peacefully until my dad noticed that what he ordered only had one meat and he had ordered the number two which is a burger with two meats my dad just said what's the point we're home and I already bit it not long after until my mom had found a plastic bag on her salad!!!! I was happy this location opened cuz Marbach is always busy. I ordered two coffees, one decaf and one regular. I went for breakfast and when the drive they girl handed me my coffees she didn't even secure the lids and the coffee spilled all over me. Luckily it was the decaf and it was cold, lol, but when asked her why she didn't secure the lids, she looked at me like I was crazy and slammed the window and left. We were in San Antonio attending a wedding that day, and me and my son in-law were grabbing a quick bite to eat that early that afternoon before the wedding later that evening. As we rolled up, the place didn't appear to be too busy, so I told my son in-law that I would go in and grab the food, since the drive thru seemed to be a little busy. As I walked in the place seemed to be really clean, and the staff seemed to be busy taking care of business behind the scenes. Like most fast food restaurants you are able to see behinds the counter where they were making the burgers, and everyone was wearing gloves and dress appropriately. Again, this was a quick stop, to grab some food on our way out of town to the wedding to meet our spouses, so it turned out to be a pleasant experience, given the 105 degree temp outside, inside the restaurant was nice and cool. This Whataburger is the slowest one I have ever been to. We waited 30-40 minutes in the drive-thru. This was only for 2 meals and a kids meal. It wasn't complicated and was around 7:30pm. On top of that, the girl had to ask us our order 3 times in the line just to pay for it and because she couldn't remember and we were in the outside lane, she kept my husband's debit card for 10-15 minutes. My kids were losing their minds while we had to wait for our food and we didn't even have the option to just leave because she kept our debit card. read more
