We had a great experience at Whataburger! We came in with five people! The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We had lots of coupons to use, and they were patient and friendly. The restaurant was pretty clean and seemed to have employees walking around offering condiments to us. The restrooms also weren't too bad! The The food was really good too! Our order was right for the most part. We ended up getting fries instead of onion rings, and when we noticed it they brought out the onion rings to us and let us keep the fries. One of the servers was Tamarra and the other one Michael! Overall, I had a great experience! I noticed there were many mixed reviews...maybe it just depends on who is working that day? We ate in on a lark, we weren't intending to eat here or even eat out a restaurant but Whataburger sent me an email about their new Nashville Whatawings so...... First things first - our cashier, according to the receipt her name was Torez A but I didn't catch it on her name tag or anything, was AWESOME!! She was patient and answered questions and offered suggestions. Really she was great. All the service was great in fact, everyone there was great. The Nashville whatawings, like pretty much anything "Nashville" that isn't Hattie B's, were just okay. Not bad but not Nashville hot. I try to be as positive as possible when reviewing restaurants but this experience was not the best by a long shot. Haven't been to a Whataburger in years so we decided to stop for lunch. Saw the ad for a banana pudding shake and just had to have one. It was so good. Cold, creamy, perfect texture and taste. Excellent product and I received it right away. But that was the end of the good experience as everything else went sideways. The order taker did not inform us that they were out of burger buns when we ordered so we were surprised to get our sandwiches made on toast. They were not hot and the meat patty was dried out. The fries were greasy and the food took over 20 minutes to receive. The restaurant floor was sticky and the restroom was not clean. It was very quiet in this place as none of the other customers were saying much. People just waited patiently. I will have to try them again because Im sure they can do better. read more

The food came out, tasty and hot. But the inside experience was less than pleasant. Employees appeared not to be well trained in customer service. They did not seem to understand that they are representing a company and I'm sure there's others out there would love to have their job. I'm only writing this so that the franchise owner or management wonders why business isn't booming. You look next door at Chick-fil-A which is killing it with 100 cars in line. I'm in line with three cars at Whataburger, I wait forever in line only to get a breakfast biscuit that looks like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, completely dried out. When I politely asked for ketchup and napkins, the girl looked at me like I was being an annoyance. I've eaten at that Chick-fil-A multiple times and employees are well trained, polite, the food is fresh and it's very quick drive-through... it's a pretty simple business model. read more

I placed an online order at 3:05 am it said it was supposed to be ready by 3:09-3:12. I thought "great that gives me enough time to drive there". I sat at the window for 25 minutes and that's after getting there at 3:10. That means it took them 35 minutes to make 1 burger and 1 order of wings. You would get your food faster if you drove from Southaven to a Jackson MS whataburger. 50 employees and they can NEVER seem to get a cheeseburger combo through the drive through in less than an hour. Absolutely pathetic and a waste of prime real estate. Bad employees or just bad training? Either way, it's not gonna last long operating like that. Someone from corporate should come help them figure out their issues. This time, which turns out is my last time, , I'm asked to pull forward, so far I've been waiting an hour and a half, while I watch all of the cars in like behind me get their food. After bringing the COLD food and forgetting the drink I waited another 20 minutes and finally left without a full order, 2 HOURS LATER! Someone should order food from the drive through, park blocking the drive through for 2 hours, then when they pay- don't pay the full amount. Every time I've ordered something from this franchise, they screw up the order or forget something entirely. Today I went inside hoping it would curb mistakes in my order. The cashier greeted me by saying good morning when it was 2pm (she greeted people after me saying the same thing. This already set alarm bells ringing. The order was simple, 2 burgers with cheese, 2 plain (one of those with onion), 3 onion rings, 2 shakes. Simple right? Wrong. Luckily, I had checked my receipt after ordering and the space cadet at the cash register had charged me for 2 combo meals with fries & drinks, 3 onion rings, one plain burger. I made it known that there was a mistake to one of the staff and they said they would make it for no charge. I politely asked them to please double check the bag and they said they would make sure it's all correct. After a good 15 minutes later, they came out with my bag, I checked & found a burger missing. I told them as such and they said, "No, it's all there." Then I had to open the bags and show them physically that the order was incomplete. They went back again to make the missing burger, came back with it and then said they'd have to charge me after someone else said they wouldn't. After getting home, I opened the order to realize they had further messed up the order. There was only one burger with everything on it, two were plain with onions and the other one was plain, no onions. Again, you would think this is simple to get right but it's like rocket science to these people to get an order correct. I kid you not, they NEVER GET AN ORDER CORRECT! It's amazing they have the ability to screw up orders every single time without fail. If there was a prize for never getting orders correct, they would be champions, no contest. The boy that was working the front clocked out leaving customers up front, and no one continued waiting on them. They stood there waiting for someone to take their order. Employees just walked by and never offered to help. After all that ordered with us and after us left, my husband asked about our order, the male employee came back and said they were waiting on meat. All the while, we are watching them make countless burgers on the counter that is visible to us. Many came in and walked out because no one was waiting on the counter.
