On a road trip has stopped here during dinner hours and breakfast hour as it was close to my weekend lodgings. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with cranberries and green apple slices and sprinkle threw out with cheese. They have a few choices for dressings on the side. It was the only item I could see that edges on the side of vegetarian. For breakfasts I have ordered scrambled eggs with biscuit and they have some type of grease fried hash brown sticks. They offer bacon or sausage too. I checked the menu closely for some vegetarian options. I just don't see many at all, you have toss out items or have them hold items. Make sure you have the staff read back your order too. I ordered a grill chicken salad and they presented me a chicken sandwich with a salad dressing ; side of balsamic vinaigrette. ( Really!) They had to change the it and adjust the check. The salad is pretty good. I would order again. Of course this is a fast food burger place. So really don't expect Vegetarian Food. Ordered breakfast for pickup at 7:15 AM at the Central E Fwy & Maurine St. (#435) Whataburger in Wichita Falls. The app gave an estimated pickup time of 7:28 AM. No one ever came out with my order. By 7:45 AM, I finally walked inside to check on it. There was no line, yet I stood at the counter while multiple employees looked directly at me and continued talking to each other, hugging, and checking their phones. I was completely ignored. After I finally spoke up and asked about my order, I was told it was ready. The food was already made and had been sitting there the entire time, yet no one bothered to bring it out or acknowledge me. To make matters worse, the order was incorrect. This wasn't a staffing issue -- it was a lack of basic customer service and management. When completed pickup orders sit unattended and customers are visibly ignored while employees socialize, that's a leadership problem. This location is operating well below Whataburger standards, especially during weekday breakfast hours. I'm not looking for free food -- I just expect reasonable pickup times, correct orders, and to be acknowledged when I walk into a restaurant. Restaurant # 435 This Whataburger Restaurant was filthy, the manager was working hard but employees weren't! The food was ok but the people that put the order together did it wrong ( they put the wrong cheese on our Whataburger and didn't cut it in half. ) We had to ask for catsup and napkins. Whataburger is a Texas tradition and since we were TX transplants we never really got the whole craze. We lived in TX for 20+ years and I can count on one hand how many times I've eaten a burger here. I've mostly gotten chicken strips or late night breakfast burritos which are pretty good. Today was a day of traveling back home from TX and know the rating wasn't great and that is exactly why I love being able to give my opinion on Yelp. I definitely use Yelp to help me navigate when traveling abs finding a great place, but I also know how it can be if my experience can help someone else. My wife and I ordered a avocado bacon burger and we were both very pleased. It's fast food so you have to start there. But the burger was pretty tasty and just the right temp for a avocado to be on a burger, not hot just right. Good fries, good onion rings and service with a smile. They had a pretty large crew all working together like a bunch of family. They knew some of the customers and they were having fun with them. Anyway for that time for me was impressive to see them having fun and working together. That's probably what Whataburger means to Texans read more

We didn't get a chance to eat. Went in, placed our order. Three number 1's, one with no cheese and a chicken sandwich. Three drinks and a milkshake. Then it began, no tea of any kind, no napkins. About 10 minutes we finally got our milkshake. The manager was standing behind the counter talking to another customer he was familiar with. There was three other customers standing and waiting, the drive through was backed up and it appeared that at least two of the employees were on a break sitting in a booth laughing and talking with their friends, yelling across the restaurant to another employee behind the counter who then ran out into the dining area and was playing around with the group there and the staff on break. Mean while the manger chatting with his buddy at the counter noticed bags/orders backed up at the fry counter and he yelled at the employee to drop some more fries then yelled at the front counter employee to sweep the floor. It seemed that he noticed all of the customers standing and waiting and he ran around to the grill area. Told us they were working on our order and we waited some more. About 10 more minutes he told my husband that the burgers were ready if we wanted them but they forgot the chicken sandwich and asked if we wanted the burgers and just wait on the chicken or did we want a refund he then asked the other customers waiting if they wanted a refund. After twenty plus minutes we left with a refund. Terrible management, apparently ran by a bunch of inept kids. read more

I have never tried Whataburger previously but my oldest son likes it better than In n Out burger. Since it was across the street from the hotel I was staying at I gave it a try based solely on my son's inclination. The place was filthy, service was slow and my patty melt was gross. I would rank this place near the worst places I have ever ordered food from. The employees were just standing around talking to each other when they could be cleaning the place.The lady at the register seemed to be the only employee who cared if there were customers. I was assigned number 33 and a man with number 20 came to the counter to complain in a nice way that he his family had not yet received their order. I guess the order was sitting there but no one had done anything with it. They are a big chain and I have to assume this location is not representative of the chain as a whole. I will give a different Whataburger location a try in the future to see if it is just an anomaly. I will never frequent this location again when I stay across the street. read more

We had the opportunity to stop a few times at the infamous Whataburger on our trip through Texas. This place has very good burgers and they customize them as much as you want. The fries were just average tasting but made very much better with the spicy ketchup. The ketchup is actually not too spicy. I even bought a bottle of it at a local HEB to take home to Seattle with me along with a couple other of their sauces. In Brownwood, TX I had the pico de gallo burger which was very good and my wife had the mushroom burger. We had the onion rings which were very tasty. I still like Dick's Burgers in Seattle and In N Out Burgers but when in Texas, this place is definitely worth trying. And their drive thru's are open 24 hours to boot. Definitely try this iconic burger joint when you can. read more

This place is absolutely terrible and not good at all. No way this food could EVER(major emphasis) compare to In N Out burger's in California. This was the most disgusting and horrible cheeseburger I've ever had in my entire life and their nasty greasy oily fries were not even edible. The employee's at this place are absolutely the worst. It was not even busy at 3:30pm on a Tuesday and it literally took them over 20 mins to get my food which was just a cheeseburger snd fries.
